Just because a character dies doesn't mean they're gone for good. Here are 12 memorable ghostly returns...
This article comes from Den of Geek UK.
Every now and again in movies and TV, a ghost will turn up somewhere entirely unexpected. You’ll be watching a gritty drama, a straightforward sitcom, or an action-packed movie and suddenly – a ghost! Nine times out of 10, the apparition is not actually the spirit of a dead character walking the earth, but a hallucination, a visual illustration of a living character’s state of mind, a dramatic device, or a dream, like the infamous storyline in Grey’s Anatomy season five in which Izzy not only saw but actually had sex with her dead fiancé, which turned out to be caused by a brain tumor.
Period dramas sometimes use them to revisit characters that history unfortunately required them to kill off – the...

"It sounds like there is someone inbetween the walls." Spotlight Pictures has debuted the first sales promo trailer for the sci-fi horror film Dark Light, from writer/director Padraig Reynolds. The film is currently being sold at the Efm and they're looking to find a distributor, in addition to a festival to debut this film at. Dark Light is a horror creature feature about some kind of monster (potentially an alien being?) that takes a young girl from her bedroom while at her mother's childhood farm home. She goes crazy trying to find her and figure out what happened, while attempting to convince police that an actual creature took her. Starring Jessica Madsen, Ed Brody, Opal Littleton, and Ben Sullivan. This looks scary as hell, including the typical cornfield trope, but still. I'm glad the trailer shows a glimpse of the monster because it looks gnarly. Here's the festival promo...

The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, 34 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 12.
All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 25 to cast their ballots for their favorite TV movies. In the past, voters were limited in the number of telefilms that they could put forth. Last year, that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted. And, as opposed to the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally.
Unlike comedy and drama series, which are simply listed on the ballot by name, the television...

The director of Independence Day and 2012 delivers a well-meaning take on the Stonewall riots that swaps the real-life story for a coming-of-age romance
Director Roland Emmerich once blew up the White House with a giant alien spaceship. In retrospect this was one of his subtler moments. Stonewall, an outrageously misjudged drama that flirts with the story of the birth of the gay rights movement, is much more grandiose.
Jeremy Irvine stars as Danny, a clean cut farm kid living in 1960s Indiana. He’s young and guileless, desperately in love with his football team-mate. When their relationship is discovered Danny is exiled by his schoolmates and evicted by his parents. He strikes out for New York and a theme park vision of the gay hangouts on Greenwich Village’s Christopher Street, where a kid called Ray (Jonny Beauchamp) co-opts him into his gang of hustlers. Each has a little quirk that passes for character development.
