Celebrity gossip blogger and Broadway fan Perez Hilton has added his voice to the 2014 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 16, the annual holiday music CD which benefits Broadway CaresEquity Fights AIDS, one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. The song My Simple Christmas Wish, with music and lyrics by David Friedman, was suggested for Hilton by well-known voice teacher Liz Caplan, because the song's hook is I wanna be rich, famous and powerful Perez Hilton began recording every year for Broadway's Carols for a Cure in 2012, when he made his New York stage debut in the comical off-Broadway revue NEWSical the Musical.
