Porter+Craig Film and Media Distribution, run by veteran industry executives Jeff Porter and Keith L. Craig has acquired worldwide rights to Gonçalo Galvão Teles’ “Nothing Ever Happened.”
The film has enjoyed considerable success on the festival circuit, including awards in the CinEuphoria Awards, Cinequest, Chicago Latino Film Festival, Mostra Internacional de São Paulo and Punta Del Est Film Festival in Uruguay, as well as 11 nominations in the Portuguese Film Academy’s Sophia Awards.
Produced by Luis Galvão of Portugal’s Fado Filmes and co-produced by Raquel Morte and Antonio Gonçalves Junior, the pic is a co-production between Fado Filmes, Entre Chien et Loup (Belgium) and Grafo Audiovisual (Brazil).

Goldove Entertainment’s latest sci-fi thriller, “Lumina” has been acquired by Porter+Craig Film and Media, and is set to premiere with a wide-release theatrical campaign this summer.
Gino McKoy wrote and directed the film the filmmaker and shot it entirely in Morocco.
“Lumina” follows Alex, whose relationship with his dream girl Tatiana ends in a flash of a blinding light. Completely traumatized by the situation, Alex desperately sets off with his friends and conspiracy theorists to discover what really happened to his girlfriend. While traveling through the desert, Alex and his friends are faced with the unexpected, pushing the group to fight for their lives.
“Lumina” stars Eric Roberts, Rupert Lazarus as Alex and Eleanor Williams as Tatiana, with additional cast members hailing from Hollywood to London. The film is produced by David Seychell, Gino, Lynda and Hudson McKoy. Academy Award-winning editor Thom Nobel serves as the production’s editor.

Gravitas Ventures has nabbed the worldwide distribution rights (excluding Germany) to Santa Girl, the romantic comedy starring Wizards Of Waverly Place alum Jennifer Stone. Directed by Blayne Weaver, The Capital Arts Entertainment film will get a day-and-date release in theaters and on demand August 30. Stone plays Santa Claus’ only daughter, Cassie Claus, who wants to experience the “real world” before she must marry the son of Jack Frost, a boy she has never met, and take over the family business. Along with her trusty elf, she sets off to college while trying to keep her magic powers and famous father a secret. At school Cassie is pursued by two boys: Sam, sweetly awkward and J.R., handsome and wealthy. As her impending arranged marriage looms, Cassie struggles with her feelings for Sam and her obligation to her father and Christmas. Devon Werkheiser (Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide) and Barry Bostwick (Spin City) co-star.

Gravitas Ventures has picked up Us rights to Chris Bouchard’s gangster film London’s Finest.
Nathanael Wiseman, Arin Alldridge and Enoch Frost star in the story of a small-time drug-dealer who lands in trouble when a corrupt police officer tries to steal a consignment intended for vicious criminals.
Framestore served as executive producer on London’s Finest, while Shudder Films and Porter Pictures co-produced.
Bouchard co-directed the upcoming Hans Christian Andersen adaptation The Little Mermaid that stars Shirley MacLaine and Gina Gershon, as well as YouTube hit The Hunt For Gollum.
“Framestore has a proud history of nurturing talent within its ranks,” global marketing director Stephanie Bruning said. “We were keen to support Chris’ directing work on London’s Finest having been impressed with his ambitious Tolkien fan film.”
The film was released in the UK through Trinity Films as Hackney’s Finest.
