BBC Two will air a death-defying skydive as part of its new show Cloud Lab.
Andy Torbet - who appears on The One Show - will be seen jumping into the Arizona desert in the new series, which follows a group of scientists carrying out experiments from an airship.
Torbet jumped from a height of 28,000 feet - double the normal 13-14,000 feet that most skydivers jump. The height is approaching the level of a commercial airline and there is not enough oxygen to sustain life up there.
What's more, Torbet was carrying a huge amount of kit - including an oxygen cylinder, a metal shelf which acted as a navigation board and included a compass protruding from his chest, a Gps device, a camera and biological sampling devices. Most skydivers avoid carrying anything to allow mobility and stabilisation, and to avoid any "snag hazards".

Shot almost entirely underwater, the ambitious project has released a rather impressive trailer, giving us a great look at what we have to look forward to in just under a week’s time.
“The Underwater Realm is a series of five short films set and shot almost entirely underwater. They tell the story of five times throughout history when mankind has come into contact with an ancient race of people living beneath the sea. Reaching back across over two thousand years of our history, The Underwater Realm is truly one of the largest and most ambitious indie film projects ever completed in the UK. Having already completed principal photography, the films are currently undergoing advanced post-production processes.
