If you’re street-smart, you will find a way in this quicksand of a world, which is bent on dragging you down. This is the basic philosophy in which the upcoming streaming show “Faadu” finds its essence. The teaser of the series, which is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, was unveiled on Monday, and it presents a promising story.
Taking a contrasting route, the teaser seems to be purposely made quiet and subtle to build around just the perfect intrigue around the show. The teaser walks a tight-rope between being underwhelming and being loud.
The teaser, which is close to 2 minutes in length, showcases the life of Pavail Gulati’s lead character and how while cutting corners, he falls into a serious trouble – a life threatening one as the love of his life played by Saiyami Kher sits beside him surrounded by hospital machines and equipments.

Once in a decade or maybe twice, if we are lucky, an Indian film makes us proud to be who we are. "Hellaro" is one such rarity. It is much more than a film. The sum-total of its parts is so profoundly moving that the work defies a microcosmic assessment. And yet, to not probe into its layers to gauge how deep its undercurrents of emotions run, would be doing this great film a disservice.
Outwardly "Hellaro" is about a bunch of rural Gujarati women seeking emotional and physical empowerment circa 1975, during the days of the draconian Emergency, by defying the patriarchal embargo and doing the Garba.
This description is most inapt in summing what Hellaro does. This is akin to saying the Garba is about two sticks and one pair of feet.

102 Not Out will see Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor sharing screen space after a gap of 27 years. In the film, Mr. Bachchan will be seen playing Rishi Kapoor’s father. Considering the fact that both the actors have to play their character more than their actual age, a lot of prosthetics and make up was used to make them look like their character’s age.
Director Umesh Shukla states that it would take his ageing protagonists a staggering seven hours for make-up every day. This would be followed by six hours of shooting. He says, “Initially, I thought they would get irritated with the long-winded process but the make-up actually helped them emote and complemented their characters really well. Both Amitabh sir and Rishi ji would walk onto the sets at 5 am with a different kind of energy and we would commence shooting after lunch and go on till 6 pm.
