Have you ever played a game so much that you feel like you could navigate it perfectly if you actually went there? Well, one GTA 5 player felt exactly the same way, and they aren’t just any GTA player, as they are also a world cup-winning football player called Hugo Lloris.
One amazing skill that gamers have developed over the years is the fact that they can easily remember maps in a game, to the point that even some players can navigate them blindfolded.
For some games, these maps are based on real-life locations and are so similar that if you played the game and then went to the location it is based in, you could navigate it just on your video game memory, just like Hugo Lloris believed upon his journey to LA to become a part of the LA Fc.

Madrid — Greater than fiction. Viewed by an estimated 5 billion, the most watched event in TV history, and the climax of the most popular sport on earth, no achievement compares in epic terms to Argentina’s victory in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Yet soccer, as Atletico de Madrid manager Diego Simeone famously has it, is played match by match. It is won moment by moment. No doc feature to date perhaps captures the ever evolving drama of Argentina’s campaign – the flux and flow of psychological advantage, the huge emotional stakes, the roll call of protagonists, and the multiple narratives of universal resonance emerging moment by moment – than “Soccer Soul” (“Elijo Creer”), narrated by Ricardo Darín, star of Oscar-winning “The Secret in Their Eyes” and dropped by HBO Max on Jan. 11 in Argentina and the rest of Latin America.
It begins with the defining moment of the whole 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Holger Rune bested Gael Monfils in four quarters to reach the Final Four of the 2023 Ultimate Tennis Showdown (Uts) Grand Final.
Earlier on Saturday, Holger "The Viking" Rune bested Alexander "The Bublik Enemy" Bublik to keep his Final Four hopes alive, while Gael "La Monf" Monfils was forced to retire against Jack "The Power" Draper.
That meant that their match would decide the last player to join the Final Four line-up. The Frenchman had to undergo a treatment to be ready for the match, but he got ready in time, and was ready to deliver a show in front of his good friends from French national football team, Hugo Lloris and Alphonse Areola, who were in the attendance.
But in the first quarter, Rune was the better player, and by quite a lot. The Dane won the opening quarter 17-9, and he was in a good mood during the interview between the quarters.

London, Jan 16 (Ians) Arsenal strengthened their grip on the Premier League with a 2-0 win away to North London rivals Tottenham.
Arsenal’s win, coupled with the result of the Manchester derby, puts Mikel Arteta’s side eight points clear of Manchester City and nine ahead of Newcastle and Manchester United, reports Xinhua news agency.
The game was only 13 minutes on when Hugo Lloris put Arsenal ahead with the first own goal of his career after he palmed Bukayo Saka’s deflected effort from a narrow-angle into his own net.
Martin Odegaard doubled Arsenal’s lead in the 36th minute, placing a perfect left foot shot wide of Lloris after another surging run from Saka.
Tottenham tried to get back on level terms after the break, but with Aaron Ramsdale in excellent form, Arsenal were generally comfortable and results elsewhere mean Spurs’ top-four hopes have suffered an important setback.

Paris, Jan 10 (Ians) France captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has announced his retirement from international football three weeks after the 2022 World Cup loss to Argentina.
Lloris made his international debut as a 21-year-old in a friendly against Uruguay in November 2008. The goalkeeper captained the French side on record 121 occasions since 2010. He also has a record of 145 appearances for France in 14 years of his career.
“I’ve decided to stop my international career, with the feeling that I have given everything,” Lloris told France’s Sports daily L’Equipe. “I think it is important to announce this now, two-and-a-half months before the start of Euro qualifying.”
“I have really been thinking about it since the end of the World Cup, but there has been something deep inside of me for maybe six months now that grew during the competition, leading me to make this decision,” he said.

London, Jan 2 (Ians) Mid-table club Aston Villa started the New Year with a bang as they defeated higher-placed Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League match, here on Sunday.
Second-half goals from Emiliano Buendia and Douglas Luiz put Villa in control as Tottenham struggled to create much in the way of clear opportunities, having just two shots on target all game.
After a barren first half, Villa went ahead in the 50th minute when Ollie Watkins teed Emiliano Buendía up to open the scoring in north London with a close-range finish after 50 minutes. John McGinn then set up the second goal and picked out Douglas Luiz with a superb pass after 73 minutes, and the Brazilian coolly flicked the ball home to double the away side’s lead.

London, Dec 25 (Ians) Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is not happy to be playing so quickly after the FIFA World Cup 2022 and has hinted he will select those who have remained in England, for his side’s Boxing Day match at Brentford.
The Premier League resumes on Monday, just eight days after the World Cup final between France and Argentina in Qatar.
While Conte has already indicated that World Cup finalists Cristian Romero and Hugo Lloris will not play against the Bees, the Italian has a decision to make over Croatia’s Ivan Perisic as well as England pair Harry Kane and Eric Dier after the trio all made the last eight.
“It is a strange situation and honestly to play so quickly — only one week after the World Cup — I am not really happy. On one hand, you are happy because for my club, Tottenham, to have 12 players at...

Doha, Dec 20 (Ians) The 2022 World Cup final will go down in history as one of the greatest ever, as Argentina won 4-2 in a penalty shootout after the scoreline was locked at 3-3 at the end of extra time. And, Gonzalo Montiel will forever be remembered as the player who scored the winning spot kick, with the Sevilla Fc right-back displaying cool confidence to send France captain Hugo Lloris the wrong way and to kickstart the celebrations.
Not only was it a historic penalty, but it was also a brilliantly executed one. The full-back didn’t even look at Lloris and, with the world watching, he focused solely on the ball, dispatching a solid and sure kick to his left.
That made it ten penalties converted from ten penalties attempted in the 25-year-old’s career, after he started taking spot kicks while working under Marcelo Gallardo at River Plate. “We...

Lionel Messi’s dream of winning the FIFA World Cup finally materialised on Sunday at Lusail Stadium with Argentina surviving a few anxious moments to register a fighting 4-2 penalty shoot win over defending champions France.
At the end of the full-time play the teams were locked two all and both the teams added a goal apiece in the extra time to make it three all and take the title clash into a penalty shoot-out.
In the tiebreaker, Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for France but the subsequent kicks found the French players failing to beat Martinez in the Argentinian goal, one being saved by the keeper and one off the mark.
Although Kolo Mani scored for France it was not enough as their rivals were successful in all four kicks.

Doha, Dec 15 (Ians) France goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris said he expected a difficult World Cup final when his side takes on Argentina on Sunday.
While Lionel Messi is looking to lift his first World Cup, France are looking to retain the title they won in 2018 in what promises to be a tough game for both sides, Xinhua news agency reported.
“Argentina are a really great team. They have shown how competitive they are, and they have this player (Messi) who has left his mark on the sport,” said Lloris after Wednesday’s 2-0 semifinal win over Morocco.
“There is everything in place for it to be a great game, but we will try to turn things our way,” he was quoted as saying by the news agency.

The Three Lions captain converted the first of the two kicks, to level both the match and Wayne Rooney’s all-time England goal record, that his team got in regulation time but failed to get the second one past his Tottenham teammate Hugo Lloris in the Les Blues goal blasting it over the crossbar and thereby missing the chance to make it 2-2.
Lloris praised Kane England’s performance at the World Cup and that of his club teammate, having played together at the same club since 2013.

Doha (Qatar), Dec 13 (Ians) France go into their World Cup semifinals against Morocco as the favourites to repeat their place in the final from 2018, when they also won the title.
The French also reached the final of the 2016 European Championship, where they ended up as runners-up, so Didier Deschamps’s men have the semifinal experience they need to go into Wednesday’s match at Al Bayt with confidence.
Not only do the French have a great record in the semifinals, but this World Cup has seen four players set records to highlight the challenge they pose to rivals.
The first of those is striker Olivier Giroud: The AC Milan forward, who is a clear candidate for this year’s Golden Boot, scored twice against Australia to go level with Thierry Henry’s record of 51 goals for France. He then broke the record with the opening goal against Poland and...

"I’m sure England will have prepared to face Kylian as our previous opponents did, but he’s in a position to make the difference," Deschamps said at a press conference on Friday.
Deschamps dismissed the idea that France rely too heavily on the Paris Saint-Germain forward, who has now scored 250 goals for club and country.
"We have other players that can be dangerous as well, so that helps us not be over-dependent on Kylian. But Kylian is Kylian, and he has that capacity to make a difference at any moment."
Mbappe has been in sparkling form at the Qatar World Cup and is the top scorer in the competition with five goals from four appearances. The 23-year-old’s double in the last-16 win over Poland has taken his tally of World Cup goals to nine, as many as Lionel Messi and more than Cristiano Ronaldo.

On Sunday at the Al Thumama Stadium, a brace from Kylian Mbappe and a record-breaking goal from Olivier Giroud helped Didier Deschamps’ team’s cause.
Poland’s Robert Lewandowski managed to get a consolation strike in injury stoppage time from the penalty spot.
Giroud (44th minute) scored just before half-time to open the door, and Mbappe (74 and 90’+1) marched through it with two scorchers in the second half. Lewandowski (90+9) scored in the ninth minute of stoppage time to salvage some pride.
Poland, in the knockout stage for the first time since 1986 and looking for a first quarterfinal appearance since 1982, was the better team in the first half but could not convert their chances in the first while France managed to latch on to the chance to score with a minute left for the first half.
France’s goal-scoring move started with Dayot Upamecano, who gave the ball to Mbappe, 25 yards out in the inside-left channel.

London, Oct 24 (Ians) Tottenham manager Antonio Conte revealed on Sunday that the team could remain without four key players for the UEFA Champions League Group D match against Sporting Lisbon, scheduled to be played at the Jose Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon on Wednesday.
Cristian Romero and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have missed Sunday’s 2-1 home loss to Newcastle after they joined Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison on the injury list.

London, Oct 24 (Ians) Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League was reduced to two points when they were held to a 1-1 draw away to Southampton.
Arsenal got off to a confident start that was rewarded when Granit Xhaka put them ahead with a low finish on Sunday evening, but after suffering in the first half, Southampton recovered after the break.
Stuart Armstrong equalised after a flowing move after 65 minutes, and although Martin Odegaard thought he had scored a late winner for the visitors, the ball had previously gone out of play, reports Xinhua.
Newcastle United claimed a 2-1 win away to Tottenham to climb up to fourth in the table.
Callum Wilson opened the scoring in the 31st minute after a Var check confirmed he hadn’t fouled Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris. Miguel Almiron doubled the lead 10 minutes later after beating Lloris at his near post.

London, Oct 20 (Ians) Manchester United produced arguably their best performance of the season to defeat Tottenham 2-0 at Old Trafford as they remained in the top-five position.
Tottenham went into Wednesday night’s game in third place in the Premier League but were outclassed by United, who opened the scoring through Fred in the 47th minute and should have been out of sight by the time Bruno Fernandes added their second, with Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris making a string of magnificent saves.
Darwin Nunez’s 22nd-minute goal was enough for Liverpool to beat West Ham United to build on their weekend victory over Manchester City.
The Uruguayan headed home a cross from the left and was unlucky to see another effort bounce back off the post, although Liverpool also had a let-off when Jarrod Bowen’s penalty was well saved by Alisson.

Bayern gained momentum as Sadio Mane danced through Plzen’s defence before beating hapless goalkeeper Marian Tvrdon with a low shot in the 21st minute.
The hosts’ advantage could have been greater, but Jamal Musiala’s goal in the 37th minute was ruled offside. Even though Bayern ceased their attacks after half-time,...

London, Dec 14 (Ians) Tottenham have remained at the top of the Premier League despite being held to a 1-1 draw away to Crystal Palace after Liverpool also dropped two points on their visit to Fulham.
Harry Kane's 24th minute shot from distance on Sunday swerved past Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita to give Tottenham the lead in south-east London and Spurs looked to be on their way to three points until Jeffrey Schlupp equalized nine minutes from time after Hugo Lloris failed to deal with a free kick, reports Xinhua news agency.
Eric Dier almost won the game for Spurs in injury time but Guaita produced a spectacular save to keep his long range shot out.
The draw gave Liverpool the chance to return to top spot but Jurgen Klopp's side, who were without the injured Diogo Jota, could only draw 1-1 away to struggling Fulham.

This one’s the big one. After a hard-fought tournament, it all comes to a close with the final battle featuring Croatia and France, the two best national soccer teams in the world. Still, the odds are against the underdog Croatian team. France is hellbent on earning its second World Cup crown in 20 years, while Croatia finds itself on the biggest stage in the tournament for the first time in the country’s history.
Both teams have proven themselves to be tough competitors several times throughout this tournament, with Croatia recently shutting down England’s best chances to win the cup since the 1960s with a 2-1 victory in the final extended play. The French aren’t to be slept on though, as they’ve only been in a losing position for a grand total of 9 minutes over the course of the entire tournament. The strength comes from their defense,...

Friday’s first quarter-final World Cup match, which saw a strong and composed French team defeat Uruguay, may have been played at 4Pm local time, but that didn’t stop supporters of Les Bleus from tuning in en masse. Leading commercial broadcaster TF1 drew its largest audience yet of the tournament — and its highest ratings of the year — with 12.9M watching Raphaël Varane and Antoine Griezmann knock out La Celeste 2-0 to advance to the semis. The audience share was a huge 76 with a peak of 16.1M viewers near the end of the game.
It’s been estimated that around 3M-5M more sets of eyeballs were glued to giant screens in bars and town squares around France yesterday. Certainly in my Provencal village, time stood still as captain Hugo Lloris punched a key save. In Paris, revelers flooded the Champs Elysees.
