Mariia Ponomarova (1991) is a screenwriter and film director from Kyiv, Ukraine.
She holds a directing bachelor degree from Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theatre, Film and Television and graduated from the Master of Film program of Netherlands Film Academy in 2016.
Her short fiction and documentary films have been screened at national and international film festivals such as Go Short International Film Festival Nijmegen, VIS Vienna Shorts, CineDOC-Tbilisi, Artdocfest, Molodist IFF, Netherlands Film Festival and others.
Mariia lives and works in Amsterdam and Kyiv.
