- Camera and Electrical Department
- Cinematographer
- Editor
Born and raised in France Astrid earned an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School. There, she wrote and directed the short film Besides That, Life is Grand (official selection, Short Stop Intl Film Fest), and graduated with an emphasis on film editing. She started her career as a film editor in Los Angeles, editing films like Speaking in Tongues (Official Selection, Austin Film Festival, 2018).
She then went on to become a creative executive for blackpills, a digital media studio where she was able to channel her passion for young-adult content by developing a slate of shows (Bonding, Netflix) with partners like Anonymous Content, Pulse Films, Adaptive Studios. Most recently Astrid was the head of development of a French/ American production company, busy figuring out how to tell multicultural stories for a global audience, like The Chef in a Truck, on Netflix.
Working on other people's projects in various capacities and realizing that the stories she wanted to develop were scarce has inspired Astrid to tell her own. Both as a way to explore the world and to claim a small piece of it, she is now dedicating her time to writing YA genre and animation, (with a very special place in her heart for fantasy and gripping mysteries) while her two cats shamelessly sleep all day.
