At the end of September, JoBlo Media and Octane Multimedia teamed up to launch a new YouTube channel named JoBlo TV, which hosts multiple feature films to watch for free throughout the week. The genres we’ll be focusing on at JoBlo TV are Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thrillers – and the free movies we shared this week were an action fantasy film, a horror thriller, and a modernized version of a horror classic!

This week’s line-up consisted of the action fantasy Viking Siege, the horror thriller Octogames, and a JoBlo TV exclusive, modernized take on the silent horror classic Nosferatu! Here’s some information on each of them:

The genres we’ll be focusing on at JoBlo TV are Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thrillers – and the free movies we shared this week covered pretty much all of those categories!

This week’s line-up consisted of the mystery thriller Buoyancy, the sci-fi horror film The Alpha Test, and the martial arts action movie The Man from Kathmandu. Here’s some information on each of them:

It was all horror all the time… and while the event is now over, as Halloween has come and gone, two of the three movies we released this week were still JoBlotober horror releases.

The movies that have been released on JoBlo TV over the last week are the home invasion thriller Safe House 1618, the human prey horror film American Hunt, the bizarre supernatural horror film It Hatched, the sci-fi movie No Tomorrow, the supernatural slasher Curse of the Scarecrow, and the supernatural horror film Ouija Craft.

Madison further opened up about her sexuality, discussing how freeing it's been to be so transparent and how supportive those close to her have been.

"Being open and honest feels so good!"

"I have very accepting friends, a very accepting family, an industry that's very welcoming and very accepting," Madison said. "Being open and honest feels so good! To be so transparent, especially in an industry when a lot of people want to be in my personal life, it's nice that I can be like, 'Here's my personal life. You can have it. It's fine.'"

A few months back there was some controversy in the horror community when, succumbing to political pressure, Blumhouse cancelled the release of their production The Hunt – which was, essentially, yet another hunting humans film a lal The Most Dangerous Game. Yet whilst Blumhouse cancelled their release, High Octane Pictures went ahead and released American Hunt, a film that features the same hunting humans motif but has less political inclinations.

Of course that’s not to say this film doesn’t have anything to say on the state of society, in fact it says a lot about the divide be the haves and have-nots, the rich and the poor, it’s just that American Hunt can be swept under the carpet by mainstream horror outlets as another low budget direct to market title or,...

High Octane Pictures is trying to capitalize on Blumhouse's canceled and very controversial thriller The Hunt with the similar sounding American Hunt. The first trailer arrives with the promise that this is 'the most controversial horror release of 2019'. Whether or not that really is the case, if you were waiting for and disappointed by the disappearance of The Hunt this past fall, then you might want to check out American Hunt as a consolation prize. It does have a pretty cool poster if nothing else.
