The last time we saw the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Since then, the character has been noticeably absent from the big screen. While it’s clear that a solo Hulk project isn’t on the horizon, rumors have been swirling about Bruce Banner’s potential appearance in Captain America: Brave New World.

These speculations gained traction after Mark Ruffalo himself hinted at being involved with the movie before quickly backtracking, claiming he was mistaken.

Marvel Studios recently revealed a list of cast members set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Some names, like Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, were anticipated, given the Fantastic Four’s history with Doctor Doom.

The Oscar nominee recently confirmed he’s been brushing up his percussion skills as he detailed his meeting with the Beatles drummer after being cast to play Starr in the upcoming four-part biopic about the legendary British rock band from director Sam Mendes.

“I met him at his house and he played the drums for me,” revealed Keoghan on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “He asked me to play, but I wasn’t playing the drums for Ringo.”

Following the news of his casting in November, Keoghan said it was Starr who “let the news out. He was like, ‘Barry is somewhere doing drums. I think he should stop and not do anymore.’ But he leaked the news.”

The award-winning British writers Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan and Jack Thorne will pen Sam Mendes’ four Beatles films, it has been reported.

The four biopics, focusing on each member of the fab four, will be released in cinemas in April 2028 – with Paul Mescal playing Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson playing John Lennon, Barry Keoghan playing Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn playing George Harrison.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is currently undergoing reshoots in Los Angeles, and Julia Garner has been spotted on set as Shalla-Bal, not the Silver Surfer.

With striking blonde hair and a white dress boasting a cosmic blue pattern, Shalla-Bal is seemingly no longer a Herald of Galactus (or has yet to become one). The actor was shown facing the shoreline before turning around and spreading her arms wide.

It's impossible to say what's happening; this could be a flashback revealing when she became the Silver Surfer or perhaps a scene from the end of the film where she's freed of that burden. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is officially only a few months away, and the most anticipated MCU film of 2025 just got a major update. Empire Magazine unveiled a new image of H.E.R.B.I.E. in the film, and buried in the report was the news that the character will be voiced by Matthew Wood, famous for his work as General Grievous in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The new image of H.E.R.B.I.E. can be found below. This confirmation debunks an extremely popular rumor that Natasha Lyonne would be the voice of H.E.R.B.I.E. in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It remains unclear who Lyonne will play in the film, but she did recently make her animated MCU debut as Byrdie in What If…? Season 3.

You probably know the members of The Fantastic Four. There’s Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, the stretchy one. There’s Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, the invisible one. You have Joseph Quinn as her brother Johnny Storm, the fiery one. And Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, the… well, the thingy one. But you might not know their ‘Fifth Beatle’, so to speak. Make way for H.E.R.B.I.E., the Reed Richards-created adorable android, a companion and collaborator to the main four who’s about to make a big impact in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

“He’s absolutely as important and as alive as any other member of the cast,” director Matt Shakman enthuses to Empire about H.E.R.B.I.E. “He’s sometimes a slightly put-upon robot, but he is definitely a member of the family. He’s just so charming and adorable.

Warfare has now landed on VOD following its glowing response from audiences in theaters. Directed by Alex Garland and Iraq War Veteran Ray Mendoza, the recent A24 movie takes a new approach to the war movie genre, depicting a real battle in Ramadi, minute-by-minute, based only on the memories of the Navy SEALs who were involved, which includes Mendoza himself. The Warfare cast features an array of established and up-and-coming stars, including Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Joseph Quinn, D'Pharaoh Woon-a-Tai, Michael Gandolfini, Noah Centineo, Kit Connor, and Finn Bennett.

A24 now confirms that as of today, May 6, Warfare is available to rent and purchase on all major VOD platforms. The date for the movie's 4K Uhd and Blu-ray release has not yet been made public, but the latest announcement reveals that the film will arrive on physical media at some point this summer.

Marvel Studios delivered plenty of exciting surprises during the Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal, including the return of some familiar faces from 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise. There were some huge omissions, though, and even with production underway, it feels like this ensemble is far from complete.

While Kevin Feige has confirmed it wasn't the full cast, one of the most disappointing omissions was Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox.

Talking to Collider, the actor was asked about not getting a chair and replied, "It’s not there, is it? [Laughs] Listen, the way that information gets to us is the same way that it gets to everyone else normally. At least historically, that's been the case. Someone sent me the link. I looked for my name. It's not there. So, maybe one day [Laughs]."

Cameras are now rolling on Avengers: Doomsday, and while we have yet to see any revealing set photos, a recent report claimed that scenes are being filmed at "an under-attack" X-Mansion.

Now, scooper Mttsh is reporting that a fight scene involving Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) facing off against Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen) is currently being shot.

These characters have crossed paths a number of times in the comics, and while a few harsh words have been spoken, they usually regard each other with a sense of mutual respect. Magneto is an incredibly powerful mutant, and one might assume his ability to control metal would give him an advantage over the fully armoured Doom. However, the Fantastic Four villain's mastery of various magical arts would likely make things very difficult for Mags.

Unfortunately, security has been very tight around the set, so we may not get to see any of the actors filming their scenes.

The latest addition in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thunderbolts*, just reached theatres last weekend – but the next entry in the franchise isn’t far off, as The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to reach theatres on July 25th. Coinciding with the release of Thunderbolts*, Marvel unveiled a batch of The Fantastic Four: First Steps character posters, and you can check them out at the bottom of this article! The upcoming movie has a “retro-futuristic” style, so it makes sense that these character posters have a retro style to them. They’re meant to look like the classic pack of trading cards that would come with a brittle stick of gum.

There have been several attempts to bring the Fantastic Four to the screen over the years, to varying levels of success. Roger Corman produced a low budget adaptation of the comic book back in 1994, but it was never officially released.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has scored big with its latest installment, Thunderbolts*. The movie debuted on May 2 and kicked off the summer blockbuster season in a big way, earning an estimated $76 million at the domestic box office, per The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, which features a group of misfit heroes, did even better overseas, taking in $86.1 million, making the global tally around $162.1 million.

Thunderbolts* stars Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Geraldine Viswanathan, Wyatt Russell, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The movie follows a group of antiheroes and outsiders who work together and discover that they have the potential to be heroes. Marvel Studios has left Galactus mostly hidden in trailers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but keeping promo art under wraps has always been a near-impossible task for Kevin Feige and company.

We recently got a blurry first look at Ralph Ineson's Eater of Worlds, and a clearer shot of the artwork has now revealed the English actor's take on Galactus in all his gigantic glory. That suit is mighty impressive—and comic accurate—and Ineson's likeness is unmistakable beneath the villain's iconic helmet.

Based on comments from filmmaker Matt Shakman, Galactus will be brought to life in The Fantastic Four: First Steps through a combination of practical costume effects and VFX.

Talking about being cast in the role, Ineson previously said, "It was really humbling. When they announced that, I was like, 'How is that going to go down?' because there were a lot of big names that had been attached.

Thunderbolts* is now playing in theaters, and it seems to have a fan in Robert Downey Jr., who assembled a few members of the cast of Avengers: Doomsday to watch it.

Avengers: Doomsday started shooting in the UK earlier this week, and the cast just assembled for a screening of Thunderbolts*.

Shang-Chi actor Simu Liu was the first to share a photo on social media, and fans were quick to point out that he's likely revealed Robert Downey Jr.'s look for his role as the McU's Victor Von Doom.

The actor—thankfully—isn't rocking Tony Stark's trademark goatee and instead has short grey hair and no beard whatsoever. Of course, if the Russo Brothers are doing it right, we either won't see Doctor Doom's face or, if we do, it will be hideously scarred.

However, if Doom wins the day, then he may heal his face and unmask in Avengers: Secret Wars. That would differ from the comics where, even as "God" on Battleworld, he was unable to fix his scars, with Mister Fantastic doing so when he put the Multiverse back together.

Marvel star Robert Downey Jr. posted a photo with some of his fellow cast members from next year’s major tentpole “Avengers: Doomsday” to watch the latest MCU movie, “Thunderbolts*,” all together.

Last month, the Marvel Studios social media accounts started live-streaming a video they labeled as an all-caps Announcement. The video showed a soundstage where, one by one, chairs reserved for actors were revealed, with a new chair coming into view every 10 minutes or so. As it turns out, this was a very long and slow way of revealing (a large chunk of) the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, which is now in production and aiming for a May 1, 2026 theatrical release. This year's most unlikely team of superheroes have arrived on the silver screen but it won't be long until another iconic team makes its presence felt on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thunderbolts* has arrived in movie theaters around the world and it promises to be one heck of a fun time, setting the stage for the next chapter of the franchise - a more positive one, hopefully - by being a good old-fashioned standalone thriller of a superhero movie.
