TV Land’s in-the-works Heathers reboot has found its new Veronica and Jd, the iconic characters played in the 1989 film by Winona Ryder and Christian Slater.
Under the Dome actress Grace Cox (see photo, right) will portray Veronica, while newcomer James Scully will inherit the role of Jd, TVLine has learned.
Last month, TV Land formally greenlit a pilot for a half-hour, single camera series based on the 1988 cult classic. The cabler said it will “reimagine” Heathers as a present-day anthology series, with each season focusing on a different heroine and a new set of mean girls.

The Viacom-owned cable network has tapped newcomers James Scully to play J.D., while Grace Victoria Cox is set to star as Veronica, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
