Television’s biggest night took place in Century City, CA Sunday, September 11th, where the entertainment industry came together for MPTF's 16th annual “Evening Before” benefit. 3 million was raised to support the 100 year-old charity — a stunning record for the event.
Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Greg Berlanti, and Pearlena Igbokwe served as the event’s Co-Chairs.

But since 2022’s calendar is decidedly not normal, and the Primetime Emmy Awards are still hours away, the Motion Picture & Television Fund had the honor of closing out the weekend with its 16th annual Evening Before the Emmys fundraiser in Los Angeles.
Mixing things up proved to be historic for the organization, as it raised a record-setting 3 million to support the 100-year-old nonprofit. Some rappers like rapping about their difficult lives and struggles of growing up and trying to make it big in the industry. While others stir up beefs in order to stay relevant. Tekashi69 and 50 Cent were in harm's way during the filming of a music video, when someone opened fire. Witnesses say someone in a white Porsche with New Jersey license plates fired at least 11 shots during filming in Brooklyn Tuesday at around 10:30 Pm. Based on the shell casings it appears the shooter use a 9 mm semi-automatic weapon. No one was hit. Tekashi and 50 were on set at the time of the shooting, along with Casanova and Uncle Murda.

A man has been killed and three injured in a shooting at rapper T.I.'s concert in New York on Wednesday night (25May16).
The Live Your Life rapper was due to go on stage at the Irving Plaza venue in New York City when shots were fired around 10.15pm local time in the third floor green room area backstage. Opening acts Maino and Uncle Murda were performing at the time and T.I. was in the building.
People ran from backstage onto the concert floor, and video footage shows the crowd of around 1,000 fans frantically trying to evacuate the venue after hearing the gun shots.
“Right when he was about to go on I heard two gunshots, and right after, there was a stampede,” eyewitness Ayo Fagbemi told the New York Times. “There were at least three rounds, but after the second one was when people started running.”
