Following former president Donald Trump’s call for protests over the weekend under the presumption that he will be arrested Tuesday, New York City and the NYPD have been put on guard for protestors and potential violence in the case of an indictment from the Manhattan Da.
But for those Trump supporters who do decide to protest over the former president’s alleged hush money scandal involving adult film star Stormy Daniels, “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough issued a warning Tuesday: “It’s pretty simple: Break the law, go to jail,” adding that those who “screw with the NYPD” will get a “one-way ticket to Rikers.”

“Thing about Trump is, he can take a beating but he can’t actually take a punch — meaning if half the country hates him he really doesn’t give a damn, but if one person insults him he never gets past it,” then-Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson tells FBI director James Comey who is headed to brief the president in Night 2 of Showtime’s The Comey Rule.
As with much of the Billy Ray-penned and -directed limited series about Russian interference in the 2016 election and the early months of the former Celebrity Apprentice host’s reign, the short scene between Damon Gupton as Johnson and Jeff Daniels as Comey speaks volumes. Even now, with Trump out of office and Vladimir Putin dealing with President Biden, the lawlessness and narcissism of the past administration from the jump is chilling to watch.
It’s also chilling to read, as you can...

Based on the book by Garrett M. Graff, the six-part series exposes the U.S. government’s flawed plans to protect its citizens. The series features interviews with political figures including former Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson and former National Coordinator for Security, Infrastructure, Protection and Counter-terrorism Richard Clarke, and national security experts Malcolm Nance, Elizabeth Goitien and Paul Rieckhoff. It will be narrated by “Westworld” star Jeffrey Wright.
“The events of this last year have laid bare the economic, political and health inequities at the core of American society,” said Graff.

‘Designated Survivor’ Review: Kiefer Sutherland Is Here To Save You From Electing the Next President
With “Designated Survivor,” ABC isn’t just expecting audiences to crave wish fulfillment fantasies over reality. The network is betting Americans are so sick of politics, they’re A-ok with blowing Congress straight to hell — literally.
The pilot episode of Kiefer Sutherland’s latest series — aka, his latest attempt to capitalize off of Jack Bauer’s iconic visage — wastes little time turning him into a lone survivor, even if it takes a bit longer to swear in the nation’s sixth unelected president. Assigned to be this year’s designated successor (a cabinet official chosen by the President to be excused from the State of the Union to preserve the line of succession… you know, in case everyone in attendance dies and we need a new President), Tom Kirkman watches in horror as a fiery inferno rises from the capital building and an outcome he never planned for becomes a frightening new reality.

New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson made the rounds of the Sunday talk shows this week to discuss the tragic events of the past week, which included the killings of black citizens Alton Sterling and Philando Castile by police officers in Louisiana and Minneapolis respectively, and the fatal ambush of police officers in Dallas, Texas. During their interview on NBC's Meet the Press, host Chuck Todd asked Bratton about presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's alleged request to address police officers during roll call, a request that the Trump campaign has denied making.
