"They're killers. All of ’em. They might not always strike, but they always want to. They devote their existence to shoppers, and what do they get in return? Abused. Mistreated. Hit by cars because people can't walk the ten feet to put ’em back in their proper place."
Intruder meets Christine in James Feeney's Killer Kart, an expertly crafted short film that pits a supermarket's closing crew against a vengeful four-wheeled adversary that's a lot smaller than a ’58 Plymouth Fury scorned, but is every bit as vicious. Killer Kart recently had the honor of being featured on ShortoftheWeek.com, and we now have the highly entertaining horror comedy for Daily Dead readers to enjoy.
Synopsis: "The shopping cart. Four wheels, one basket, and tonight, for the closing crew of a small-town grocery store, a blood-splattered aluminum nightmare!"

Last October the hilarious horror comedy Killer Kart slayed its competition during La's Screamfest, where it won the award for Best Horror Comedy Short, making it a short this writer absolutely wanted to include in the first ever CineMayhem just a few weeks ago.
And despite already finding tons of success on the festival circuit in 2012, Killer Kart isn't quite done just yet- the short is still making the fest rounds this year with upcoming screenings in Seattle and Houston, and it is also up for a major award during the Palm Beach International Film Festival, which will be presented later this week.
Directed by James Feeney, Killer Kart stars Christine Rodriguez, Ray Bouchard, Elly Shaefer and Britt Michael Gordon. In honor of Indie Horror Month 2013, Dread Central recently chatted with Feeney about the short film, which was also happened to be the up-and-coming filmmaker's thesis project at Florida State University.
