Warren Smythe is an American director and screenwriter, making his directorial debut with Sound of Dogs in 2009. His leap into the comedy genre came when he co-wrote and directed his second feature film, Juicy Mooshu (2014), which was loosely based on true stories of the lives of all three writers. The film earned a premiere in 2014 at the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, and made its way into the festival circuit.
In 2017 his next collaboration, Before the Ink Dries, was completed, serving as a proof-of-concept for the upcoming feature film of the same title. It also served as a milestone for both Alexandra Sedlak and Smythe, marking the years that the collaborators invested in the feature length screenplay.
