Tracker has added a big name to its cast. Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) has joined the CBS Sunday night drama. He will play Russell Shaw, the estranged brother of star Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw. It's always a fun time when Ben leaps into a host who dabbles in the unknown and mysterious. Scientific skepticism duking it out with the belief that all things are possible. Because, after all, he's a body-skipping time traveler, so who's he to say what's improbable?
In a number of ways, Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 3 bears a striking resemblance to Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 7, only instead of spirits, Ben's got potential extraterrestrials complicating the mission.
What's less fun is watching Ben process the news that Addison's moved onto a new relationship. They are both hurting so much, it's a wonder Addison sticks out the whole leap.
The X-Files vibe is slightly defused by a lack of Scully-versus-Mulder tension on site. Yes, Addison tries to Occam's Razor the situation, but Ben's the scientist, and he's clearly intrigued by the possibility of proving the presence of aliens.
Also, whether purposely or not,...

Oh boy.
After a miraculously short hiatus thanks to the forethought of the showrunners and hard work of the production team, NBC's hit sci-fi series, Quantum Leap, returns this week on a new night and at a new time with all-new adventures for Dr. Ben Song and the Ql team.
Quantum Leap Season 2 premieres at 8/7c on Wednesday, October 4, and it's immediately apparent that Ben does not make it home. So what's a time-traveling physicist to do?
The premiere quickly immerses viewers in an action-packed and comedically brilliant A-Team-gone-wrong-esque operation when the top-secret cargo aboard Ben's plane attracts Russian missiles, and they are shot down.
It's 1978, and with a superb supporting guest cast consisting of Melissa Roxburgh, P.J. Byrne, Aaron Abrams, and Francois Arnaud, Ben must trust his gut and skills to see them through the ordeal.

Quantum Leap wouldn’t be Quantum Leap without Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) jumping into other people’s bodies in various time periods. So, you guessed it, things didn’t go as planned after that Season 1 cliffhanger of the revival of the 1989-1993 series (which starred Scott Bakula) when his team — Addison (Caitlin Bassett), Ian (Mason Alexander Park), Jenn (Nanrisa Lee) and Magic (Ernie Hudson) — were left waiting for Ben to finally come home. Alas, we’ll find out what happened in the October 4 Season 2 premiere when we find Ben on a plane that crash-lands in 1978 Russia (the episode guest stars Manifest‘s Melissa Roxburgh). “We’ve opened up the world” for Season 2, says executive producer and director Chris Grismer. Valiant Ben investigates the Salem Witch Trials in 1692, UFOs in 1949 New Mexico, the 1992 Los Angeles riots, and “Hitchcockian” goings-on in a 1961-set hour that was actually filmed in Egypt. The Quantum Leap project has been kept well under wraps ... until now.
NBC shared the official trailer for Quantum Leap Season 2 on Monday, and it teases Ben filling in someone about his time-traveling job.
In the new footage, Ben tells Hannah (played by The 100's Eliza Taylor) all about it.
As previously reported, Taylor is one of two new series regulars this season, so we're inclined to believe Ben and Hannah will be spending a lot of time together.
Peter Gadiot is the other new addition as US Army Officer Tom Westfall.
The exciting new footage teases leaps to Egypt in 1961, the Los Angeles Riots in 1992 Koreatown, a UFO investigation in 1949 New Mexico, witch trials in 1692 Massachusetts, and more.

Fans of NBC’s Quantum Leap were treated to the first eight minutes of the Season 2 premiere during Saturday’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con — and were surprised to see some new faces.

While the sneak peek will not be posted online ahead of the season’s October 4 premiere, Deadline can share some details about what audiences in the room saw. Warning: spoilers ahead!

NBC is going to have some original scripted series as part of its fall 2023 schedule (even with the ongoing writers and actors strikes), and among them is Quantum Leap, returning for its second season in October. As part of its panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the drama unveiled the first eight minutes of the premiere, which included some guest stars TV (and NBC) fans might recognize. The opening of Quantum Leap Season 2 shows what executive producer Martin Gero told TV Insider after the Season 1 finale in April: that Ben, while he does have his memories back, does not return home. Rather, his next leap takes him somewhere over Russia in 1978, on a plane, and the others on board are played by Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest), François Arnaud (Midnight Texas), Aaron Abrams (Blindspot), and P.J. Byrne (The Boys). The five of them are transporting some sort of artifact (shipped out of Germany...

Star Trek: Discovery‘s final season gets off to a (very!) fast start, if we’re judging by this new sneak peek.
Paramount+ unveiled a scene from the upcoming Season 5 during Saturday’s Star Trek Universe Comic-Con panel. (Press Play above to watch it.) In it, Burnham is trying to bring new villains Moll (The Night Agent‘s Eve Harlow) and L’ak (The Expanse‘s Elias Toufexis) to justice when they trigger an explosion, sending Burnham hurtling out of the starship and into space. Luckily, her space suit immediately materializes, but their ship is attempting to make a getaway.

This article contains spoilers through the Manifest series finale.
After keeping viewers captivated since 2018, Manifest finally reached its thrilling conclusion as season 4 part 2 landed on Netflix on Friday. While the series answered most of our burning questions regarding the mystery of Flight 828 and whether passengers could survive the Death Date, it did leave viewers with many questions regarding the show’s arc and whether some deaths were necessary.
For most of the last ten episodes of Manifest, flight 828 passengers found themselves locked in a detention center by the Registry because of public fear and the government wanting to do scientific experiments on them. The passenger’s position in the detention center hindered their ability to solve their callings and figure out what needed to be done to help them survive the Death Date.

Flight 828 has finally landed. After four seasons of solving countless mysteries and trying to figure out how to avoid their approaching Death Date, the passengers at the center of Netflix's "Manifest" have finally met their fate.
"Manifest" focuses on a group of people who board a flight home from the Bahamas in 2013 - only to touch down in 2018, though to them it seems like no time has passed. The passengers soon find themselves receiving mysterious visions they call Callings, which often lead them to save lives or solve crimes. As the show progresses, though, it becomes clear that the Callings are actually warning the passengers about an upcoming Death Date, which they eventually discover doesn't only apply to them; instead, the whole world seems to be facing an apocalypse. Helmed by siblings Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) and Ben Stone (Josh Dallas), the passengers set out to save the world.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for all of Manifest.] “I’m so curious to see, because with Lost, it was so all over the place. Well, everyone hates it. So I’m hoping that we have some people who love our show and how it ends,” Melissa Roxburgh says of fans’ reactions to the end of Manifest. We can’t help but think of the Lost finale with how the NBC-turned-Netflix series signed off with the arrival of the Death Date: Flight 828, after the passengers boarded the plane, faced their judgments, and stopped the apocalypse, landed as it should have in New York on April 7, 2013. Michaela (Roxburgh) gave Jared (J.R. Ramirez) he’d been waiting for (along with the ring), and though he didn’t know it, pointed him in Drea’s (Ellen Tamaki) direction. Then, remembering Zeke (Matt Long) was still alive and at the airport, she ran out to ...

Of course the series finale of Manifest ends on the Death Date – as it should. Morning arrives as Netflix’s Manifest season four episode 20, “Final Boarding,” begins with the Stones and their friends still at their Storm King Mountain campsite. The fissure is pulsating blue, and Olive (Luna Blaise) can still feel her brother even if he’s not there.
Suddenly, the ground shakes and they realize they’re not out of the woods yet.
As Olive and Tj (Garrett Wareing) chase after Eden, they discover a rock near where Michaela and Ben’s initials are carved into a tree. The rock has an engraving that matches the volcano on the World card but with the added touch of the scales of justice carved into the rock’s surface.
Ben (Josh Dallas) realizes the fate of the world hangs in the balance, and the inscription underneath isn’t legible. (Someone’s graffitied over it.

Netflix’s Manifest season four episode 17 takes an eight-month time jump to May 2, 2024, exactly one month prior to the Death Date. Jared and Michaela are reigniting their relationship and enjoying life away from the detention center as Netflix’s Manifest season four episode 16 opens. With Michaela’s dad resting peacefully upstairs, the couple get to know each other’s naked bodies once again.
The following morning, Jared (J.R. The detention center must be tracking Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh), so they can’t even make any phone calls.
