Janet Devlin

Tom Hanks confirms Toy Story 4 is in production
Former 'X Factor' contestant Janet Devlin wants a record deal with Simon Cowell. The 'Hide & Seek' crooner, who was mentored by Kelly Rowland on the talent show in 2011, is working on her third studio album and revealed she'd be interested in meeting with the judge to discuss the 2016 LP titled 'Holy Water'. Janet exclusively told Bang Showbiz: ''There could be a meeting with Syco if they want one. It would be a full circle kind of thing. Do the show, go out there, do your records and then come back.'' And the flame-haired beauty believes she has come a long...

X Factor: The 5 most performed songs that just won't go away
Ever get a feeling of déjà vu while you're watching The X Factor? That's because after 11 series and hundreds of contestants, the live shows have seen a whopping 728 tracks performed so far. But like a wedding DJ reaching for his failsafe party anthems CD, the top five most popular songs have been dusted off and rolled out over 33 times between them.

Our geeky rules state that we're counting all live show performances and group songs, but not repeat performances from the same act in the same series.

=5. 'Feeling Good': 6 performances

Performed by: Beverley Trotman, Rachel Hylton, Stacey Solomon, James Arthur, Rebecca Ferguson, Andrea Faustini

Made famous by Nina Simone, this classic usually pops up in the traditional 'Big Band Week', and is a good excuse for an act to show off their sultry side. Stacey had a go with Michael Bublé in 2009, while Andrea tried out a more powerhouse version last year.

Janet Devlin: 'I felt forced to cry on The X Factor'
Janet Devlin has revealed that she feels like she was forced to cry on The X Factor.

The 19-year-old, who appeared on the ITV show in 2011, told Metro that producers pushed her to show emotion at the judges' houses stage of the competition.

"I was on that roof [in Miami] for several hours," she said. "I was being quite emotionless, which got on their nerves. They said, 'How do you expect anyone to connect with you unless you let your guard down?' Eventually, I cried. It was horrible."

Devlin also opened up about losing her grandfather during her time on the show, saying: "They asked what happened, I cried, and that was it. I needed to address it because the fact he'd passed away had already trended on Twitter.

"It taught me that opening up sometimes isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's a lot for a 16-year-old to deal with,...

Frankie Cocozza was Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh's predicted X Factor winner at the Boot Camp stage of the competition. On The Xtra Factor tonight, Olly Murs and Caroline Flack revealed the judges and hosts' golden envelope early guess on who would win the show. The prediction process and golden envelope reveal has become a tradition on the Xtra Factor finale. No judge or presenter could pick the correct answer this year, because girl group Little Mix were formed after the Boot Camp stage of the show. Janet Devlin voted out of 'The X Factor'
Janet Devlin has become the next act to leave The X Factor. The 17-year-old was eliminated from the ITV contest after falling into the bottom two of the public vote with Misha B. Devlin performed a cover of 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol in the sing-off, but judges gave their backing to Misha B's rendition of 'Out Here on My Own' from the Fame musical instead. Louis Walsh was first to vote and explained to host Dermot O'Leary that he would "pick the person that is going to give the most to the competition and wants this the most", who he then identified as Misha B. Tulisa Contostavlos also chose to save Misha B due to her having more "potential" outside of the show. Next up was a visibly-emotional Kelly Rowland, who struggled to choose between her two acts. The judge had flown back to Los Angeles this week for a planned work trip following last Saturday's show which saw her clash with fellow panellists Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh over their accusations her act Misha B had been bullying other contestants. After leaving her three girls - Sophie Habibis, Janet Devlin and Misha - to prepare for their performances without her help this week, Kelly, 30, contacted bosses to inform them she would not be able to appear this weekend after contracting...

The X Factor contestants have admitted that they will miss this week's eliminee Sami Brookes. Brookes was sent home by the judges in tonight's show after finding herself in the bottom two with Kitty Brucknell. Speaking on The Xtra Factor, Brucknell said that she was "grateful" to her mentor Louis Walsh for saving her, but added that Brookes was her "best friend". She tearfully explained that she is "really going to miss her a lot". Johnny Robinson also described Brookes as his "best friend" in the contest, but joked that at least she will no longer "be able to nick [his] Curly Wurlys". Elsewhere, Janet Devlin tearfully revealed that she is happy to be through, but continued: "Sami is like my mum (more)...

Beyonce Knowles has backed Janet Devlin to win 'The X Factor'. The 30-year-old singer is convinced one of the acts in her former Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland's category will scoop the crown in this year's contest, and believes the Irish teenager has what it takes to win over the audience. She said: "For sure I think Kelly will win, not just because she is my sister but because I really do think she has the strongest acts. "The girl group Rhythmix are very current and the guys all have good voices, but I see the winner coming from Kelly's group. "It's the...

'X Factor' Janet Devlin promises 'upbeat' song choices
16-year-old Janet Devlin has claimed that she has 'some tricks up her sleeve' on The X Factor. Devlin performed an emotional cover of Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling In Love' on last night's live show. She dedicated the song to her late grandfather, who passed away this week. The young singer has faced criticism that her unique singing style may be too one-dimensional, but she won huge plaudits from the judges for her "brave" performance. However, Devlin claimed that she would be trying something different if she survives this week's elimination. She teased that she would perform "an upbeat song" next Saturday, adding: "I've (more)...

The X Factor's Janet Devlin has been "bullied" by Kitty Brucknell, according to magazine reports. The teenager from Northern Ireland was apparently reduced to tears by Brucknell's ranting after the 26-year-old claimed that the young singer was being favoured by the producers. "Janet's not very confident anyway and she's starting to feel the pressure - she's hundreds of miles away from her family and friends in Northern Ireland and is worried Kitty's turning the rest of the contestants against her," a source told Closer. 'X Factor' Kelly Rowland: 'It's too early to talk about favourites'
Dermot O'Leary, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell, and Louis Walsh in The X Factor (2004)
The X Factor judge Kelly Rowland has insisted that it is too early to talk about favourites in the competition. Appearing on The Xtra Factor after last night's first live show, Rowland was asked by a fan if she thinks her contestant Janet Devlin deserves to be the bookies' pick. "I know it's the politically correct thing to say, but it's true - everyone came on this stage and killed," she said. "They really did. I'm proud of all the acts. "Janet's really come out of her shell. I couldn't be more proud of that young lady - she continues to get better." However, she refused to talk about whether Devlin is the early leader in the contest, saying: (more)...

Michael Jackson
The X Factor contestants Amelia Lily and Janet Devlin have admitted that they felt under pressure during last night's first live show. Lily has now revealed on The Xtra Factor that she felt under "huge pressure" when she found out she would be opening the show. "I'm one of the youngest contestants in the competition and obviously I was taking on such a huge song by Michael Jackson," she said. "So I was under a lot of pressure, but I just said to myself, 'I (more)...
