As SAG-AFTRA and the WGA continue to strike and fight for a new deal, the picket lines are remaining full. In fact, they’re so full that multiple series have seen cast and crew reunions while marching.

Some have been spontaneous, as old colleagues run into each other by chance at a given location. Others have been planned, making sure to get as many members out on the lines as possible. So, we rounded up some of the biggest ones, ranging from shows long since ended, to those still fresh in our hearts.

Glee achieved enormous success and impacted the careers of its stars, but not all cast members were able to sustain that popularity post-show. Actor Darren Criss emphasizes the importance of the strike, stating that they are working creative people who need protection, not just famous movie stars.

The "Glee" cast and crew recently reunited in solidarity with the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. On Aug. 23, stars including Heather Morris, Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Kevin McHale, as well as writers, producers, and choreographers for the hit television series joined the picket line in Burbank, CA. Marching alongside former coworkers, the group made sure to include a special shoutout to the late Naya Rivera, who played Santana Lopez on the show and died after a tragic boating accident in July 2020.

At the protests, a few of the picketers carried signage displaying famous one-liners from "Glee." Morris's sign featured Santana and her quote, "The only straight I am is straight-up broke," while former crew member Meg Doyle held up another screen grab of Santana saying, "I'm about to go all Lima Heights." Ushkowitz's sign also showed a snap of her character Tina Cohen-Chang saying, "I'm dehydrated from all the striking.

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of Glee star Naya Rivera's tragic death in a drowning accident and many of the actress' co-stars in the popular musical hit series have been paying tribute to her to mark the occasion. Stars including Lea Michele, Jacob Artist, Heather Morris, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chris Colfer, and Matthew Morrison all posted on their social media accounts, with memories and thoughts about the star and their time working together before her untimely passing.

Heather Morris posted a series of images including a video of her getting a tattoo which reads "tomorrow is not promised", a quote from one of the last tweets by Naya Rivera just days before her death. The cast of “Glee” reunited virtually to remember Naya Rivera, who died last July at the age of 33, at the GLAAD Media Awards on Thursday.

The tribute was opened by Demi Lovato, who had a brief role on the Fox series alongside Rivera.

“I don’t have to tell you that this year was a tough, tough year,” Lovato said. “A particular moment of heartbreak stands out for me: losing my friend Naya Rivera. I will always cherish the chance I got to play Naya’s girlfriend, Dani, on ‘Glee.'”

“The character Naya played, Santana Lopez, was ground-breaking for closeted queer girls — like I was at the time,” she went on. “And her ambition and accomplishments inspired Latina women all over the world.”

On Thursday night, actress, musician and advocate Demi Lovato introduced a heartwarming tribute to the late, great Glee actress Naya Rivera. Lovato was a friend to Rivera’s Santana and also played her girlfriend on the Fox musical series.

The tribute honored the 10-year anniversary of Santana’s coming out as lesbian in the GLAAD Media Award-winning series. As Lovato pointed out, this was a groundbreaking character for the Latinx LGBTQ representation on television. “Her ambition and accomplishments inspired Latina women all over the world,” said Lovato of Rivera. “That’s the power of a show like Glee.”

GLAAD ruled Thursday night with a virtual ceremony for the 32nd GLAAD Media Awards which honors media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues. The ceremony premiered on YouTube on Thursday night, but if you missed out, it will be available to stream on Hulu starting at 10pm Et tonight until the end of June.

Nine months after the tragic death of Naya Rivera, the late actress’ former Glee co-stars are coming together to honor her memory.

Thursday’s broadcast of the 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards — which is streaming on YouTube as part of GLAAD’s partnership with Google — includes a special tribute from several cast members of the Fox musical comedy, with an introduction from Demi Lovato. As you may recall, Lovato played Rivera’s love interest in the show’s fifth season.

Glee alum Jacob Artist and Chris Aquilino (Silicon Valley) are set for recurring roles opposite Avan Jogia, Kelli Bergland, Beau Mirchoff and Roxane Mesquida on Now Apocalypse, Starz’s upcoming original half-hour comedy series from creator/executive producer Gregg Araki and Steven Soderbergh.

Co-written by Araki, who also directs, and Vogue.com sex columnist Karley Sciortino, Now Apocalypse is a 10-episode surreal, coming-of-age comedy that follows Ulysses (Jogia) and his friends Carly (Berglund), Ford (Mirchoff) and Severine (Mesquida), who are on various quests pursing love, sex and fame while navigating the strange and oftentimes bewildering city of Los Angeles.

Artist will play Isaac, a social worker who cares more about relationships than possessions and helps Ulysses after a fall.

Aquilino will portray Kai, an extremely untalented student in Carly’s acting class.

Araki and Soderbergh are executive producing the series with Gregory Jacobs. Sciortino serves as consulting producer.

John Cusack stars in a new action thriller called Blood Money and today we have the first trailer for you to watch. Cusack plays a sniper in the film who gets bent out of shape when three friends camping in the woods find a shit ton of money that he stole. As greed starts to infect everyone, things start to fall apart and Cusack will do what he needs to to get his money back. Here's the official synopsis:

This actually doesn't look like a bad movie. It's been awhile since I've seen Cusack make something decent, so I wasn't sure what to expect. While it may not be anything awesomely exciting, it still looks like it could be entertaining.

"What did you do to get this money?" Saban Films has launched the trailer for a new action thriller titled Blood Money, from horror filmmaker Lucky McKee. This film seems like it's straight out of the 90s, with John Cusack in a lead role as a white collar criminal who tries to retrieve his cash, but three kids pick it up first. Cusack gets all crazy on them, bringing a sniper rifle along to make sure he gets his money. The rest of the cast includes Ellar Coltrane, Willa Fitzgerald, Jacob Artist, and Ned Bellamy. I watched this episode of American Horror Story through clenched fingers. No, that's not because it was scary (though it was pretty scary at times). Having flirted with Pov cameras in limited amounts this season, American Horror Story goes full-on Blair Witch in Chapter 9, which features a whole, whole lot of shaking camera, running, screaming, and tearful pre-death apologies. It's a lot to handle if you're even slightly motion sensitive.

Unfortunately for me, I'm highly motion sensitive. I get carsick if I try to read in a moving vehicle. I've listened to Cloverfield. I had to take medication after trying to watch As Above, So Below. I bought and gave away the video game Doom...

In Wednesday’s penultimate episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke, Audrey declared, “Everybody’s dead!” — which was demonstrably false, since when she shouted it Lee was standing right next to her, very much alive, thanks. Still, the outburst succeeded in impressing upon new arrival Dylan (who’d played Ambrose in My Roanoke Nightmare) that the goings-on at the Millers’ former house were “not a joke.” Of course, even if the reenactress’ exaggeration hadn’t done the trick, what happened next undoubtedly would have have gotten the message across to Dylan that the variety of s— he was in was the deep sort.

We don’t know The Butcher well yet, and neither do the Millers. But if the audience of American Horror Story: Roanoke can already tell that she isn’t the sorta vengeful, cleaver-wielding ghost with whom one should lightly make and then break a deal, then surely, they should understand that, too, right? Right. Nevertheless, Shelby and Matt reneged on their agreement with the erstwhile Thomasyn White in “Chapter 4” Wednesday, setting the stage for more of the kind of supernatural shenanigans for which the word “Croatoan” was apparently invented. The horror continues. The American Horror Story TV show has been renewed for a seventh season on FX. The limited anthology series comes from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The renewal comes as no surprise.
