Daniella Daemy is a Swedish Iranian Writer/director influenced by the
likes of Ken Loach, Mike Leigh, and David Lynch .She has a passion for
exploring of what she calls ,everyday cultural schizophrenia. Her work
have a rough, raw edge, a sense of spontaneity, and an often surreal
use of colour. It's very important to her that a film is drawn from a
deep personal experience. Daniella is a visually stylish film director
,whose work grabs the attention on an aesthetic basic first -and then
works to communicate its ideas on a deeper level. Her background is in
psychology , she spent five years working in mental hospitals in
Stockholm.This had given her a unique outlook , and a fascinating story
telling approach . She took a Master Degree in Fine Arts and media Art
At University of Bedfordshire and then moved to London to pursue a
writing career. Over the next 4 years she developed several shorts and
two feature scripts -' Sardines in a can and 'Ava'
