The screenplay is written by Veera W. Vilo, based on her own experiences as a gymnast, her colleagues’ similar experiences, and disturbing stories of female athletes and dancers that have come to light after the start of the #metoo movement.

The Hillybilly trope has generally been the pervue of American cinema; but seemingly weird people and cults in the countryside exist everywhere, and a new feature from Finland aims to set a new bar. With its North American premiere set for Other Worlds Austin next month, the first trailer has dropped. A heastrong textile student Irina (Veera W. Vilo) tries to overcome her problems by accepting a summer job offer from an isolated and offbeat village of Kyrsyä. As Irina begins to get a grip of herself, the harmless and offbeat hillbillies begin to reveal their true nature. Finland is already a country not known to many people outside of Europe, so there are extra levels of the creepy unknown in the story. The trailer...

Marshmallow fluff, ladies stitched together from corpses, and sex-crazed rabbit/human hybrids… this can only mean one thing: it’s family game night in the Crypt o’ Xiii! Or it’s time for another batch of revoltin’ reviews… I always get those mixed up, often with hilarious (and litigious) results…

What’s this? A new fright flick that advertises itself as a Gothic horror/psychological thriller inspired by the works of The Brothers Grimm (and just so happens to be set in a cornfield)? This is either going to end up mind-blowing, or just plain blowing (or it could just be mediocre, I suppose). Well, let’s see how corny ol’ Rows gets!

In two weeks, vampires, cannibals, Halloween frights and more will grace the screen at the Muvico Theater in Rosemont, Illinois for Bruce Cambell's Horror Film Festival. Now a telekinetic kid and and an apocalypse have joined the killer lineup, as both June and JeruZalem will make their U.S. premieres at the festival.
Press Release: "Chicago, Illinois (August 6, 2015) – The second annual Bruce Campbell Horror Film Festival presented by Wizard World, running August 20 – 23 at the Muvico Theater in Rosemont, Illinois (9701 Bryn Mawr Ave., Rosemont), is proud to announce the addition of two more films to the already bursting schedule.
June, starring Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Kennedy Brice (The Walking Dead), tells the story of nine-year-old June (Brice), who has been shuffled in and out of foster homes for years. Though she tries to be good, no matter where she goes a trail of chaos and terror seems to follow.

The first trailer for Bunny the Killer Thing is here. The film's first trailer almost made this viewer blow coffee all over his computer screen. A second viewing was equally hilarious. Sometimes, horror can still be funny, if campy or over-the-top. That is the case here, with Finland's first bunny killer film. The film's punchline will not be revealed here; instead, readers can see all of the absurdity below. From the story, a strange furry killer lays waste to the Finnish countryside. His motivations are obvious. And, a group of friends are soon to meet this lustful party-crasher. As well, Raven Banner Entertainment is repping this picture. Raven Banner will sell world wide rights for the film. The film will also be released in Europe, this year. Release Date: Tba. Director: Joonas Makkonen. Writers: Joonas Makkonen and Miika J. Norvanto. Cast: Enni Ojutkangas, Gareth Lawrence and Veera W. Vilo. The...
