It’s over for Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. The pair connected on ABC’s first-ever senior-focused season of the reality dating series. On Friday, they announced that they will divorce.
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, and so forth. And we’ve kind of concluded mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,” Turner said during an appearance on Good Morning America on April 12 (via YouTube).

Unfortunately, Turner and Nist weren’t able to figure out how to move forward as a couple after their whirlwind Golden Bachelor romance.

Bachelor Nation stars and fans are grieving right along with J.P. Rosenbaum, who recently lost his mom.
In an emotional post on social media, Jp admitted he had “absolutely no words” to describe the wonderful woman that she was.
Several familiar faces jumped into the comments to offer their condolences to Jp on the devastating loss.
The Bachelorette alum is likely finding comfort with his family and close friends at this time since he no longer has ex-wife Ashley Hebert to lean on.
The Season 7 couple were happily married for quite some time and even had two adorable kids, a daughter, Essex, and her older brother, Ford.
However, in 2020, after eight years of marriage, the pair announced their split and in October 2021, their divorce was official.
Ashley has since moved on to a new relationship, but as far as we know, Jp is single and focused on co-parenting their two kids.

J.P. Rosenbaum made his Bachelor franchise debut clear back in 2011 when he appeared on Ashley Hebert’s season of The Bachelorette.
Although the former The Bachelorette winner won Ashley’s rose back on Season 7, they couldn’t make it any longer in their relationship, despite having two small children together. It has been said recently that the two are not friends but only co-parents.
The Bachelorette wasn’t the only time J.P was asked to be part of the Bachelor franchise. Just recently, following his divorce from Ashley in late 2020, J.P. was asked to be on Bachelor in Paradise.
The 45-year-old was asked to go on the beaches of Mexico to find new love in the past couple of years.
While J.P. said no to the offer, fans had differing opinions on the thought.

Ashley Hebert and her Bachelorette winner, J.P. Rosenbaum, seemed to be one of the few Bachelorette success stories from the franchise.
That was, until after eight years of marriage, the two decided to separate and then divorce.
While Bachelor Nation fans were upset and saddened by the news, Ashley has come out and said that it was the best decision she could have made.
The parents of two children, Ford, who is 7, and Essie, who is 5, got married in 2012 but just couldn’t make it work.
According to Ashley, “We both tried so hard in our marriage and made the joint decision to go our separate ways. It’s been pretty seamless. People think so negatively about divorce, but it can be a good thing for families sometimes.”

Exes don't have to be on thorny terms—just ask Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum. The former Bachelorette couple recently came together to celebrate their daughter Essex's 5th birthday. J.P. uploaded a picture of the duo standing with the birthday girl and her 7-year-old brother, Ford, to Instagram. The sweet snapshot showed the family members gathering around a unicorn cake with pink, purple, and blue balloons in the background. Ashley also posted a birthday tribute, including a photo of J.P. giving Essex, a.k.a. Essie, a piggyback ride. The reunion shouldn't come as a huge surprise to fans. After all, the reality stars have seen each other several times since their 2020...

Would you accept J.P. Rosenbaum's rose? Let's be real, we know our answer, but it seems The Bachelorette alum might require some convincing. He told E! He's just not sure that means diving into hot tubs and riffing about how naked bungee jumping is super similar to falling in love. Ashley Hebert became the Bachelorette from Brad Womack‘s second stint on “The Bachelor,” but that was not the original plan. On Monday’s “The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons — Ever!”, which revisited Womack’s two seasons as the Bachelor — Season 11 in 2007 and Season 15 in 2011 — Chris Harrison revealed that Chantal O’Brien, Womack’s runner-up from Season 15, was the first choice to hand out roses.
O’Brien clarified that she did not turn down the opportunity and had said yes, but then she went on a blind date.
“After our first date I called my best friend and I just said, ‘I just met my future husband,'” she recalled. “So it was that clear to me and I felt really bad because I’d committed to you guys to do [‘The Bachelorette’], but I also had to be honest. And I know you guys wouldn’t want somebody whose heart was somewhere else.

There's always a few players every season who fall prey to the "Survivor gods," and this time, it was Alan Ball.
The NFL player got his torch snuffed on Wednesday's episode of Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers after Devon got his vote taken away with a game advantage -- and Joe used his idol to protect himself from elimination.
"I think the elements of the game affected my fate, and that's how it went down," Alan confessed over the phone to Et on Thursday. "I think I was playing a good game. I don't think it got away from me at all... but Joe found the idol, and that's part of the game."
The Houston, Texas, native, did, however, have a feeling that his game could be heading towards elimination.
