The crime gangs are back, baby … well, almost. While there are some pretty righteous gritty crime drama/thriller series out there, none are as brutal, brilliant, and bloody as Gangs of London. It’s been well over two years since season 2 dropped in the UK and the U.S., and since season 3 of the hit series was renewed. Now, thanks to Sky TV’s new trailer, we finally know when to expect its return, and it’s much sooner than you think. Gangs of London season 3 is set to premiere in the UK in March 2025, but when might it premiere in the U.S.?
The first season of Gangs of London premiered in April 2020 both in the UK and the U.S., then we were all left with a super long, nail-biting wait for season 2, which finally dropped in the UK in October 2022, followed by a November 2022 release date in the U.

Series three of Gangs of London will air on Sky next year, and the trailer for it has landed. Right here, in fact.
After revitalising action cinema with the two astonishing martial arts films in The Raid franchise – his directorial debut, Merantau, is well worth tracking down too – Gareth Evans turned to television, co-creating Gangs of London with Matt Flannery in 2019.
A sprawling crime saga, the show follows the Wallace family as they grapple to keep control of their criminal empire. And we’ve had two series of it so far, with plenty of memorable moments to talk about.
The show became known for its notoriously violent action scenes, which are as visceral and gory as anything seen in a big screen slasher. Unsurprisingly, given Evans’ involvement, the work that went into those scenes was really quite something.
The show is now in its third series. Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù returns as lead character Elliot Carter,...

The Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery-created crime drama has seen a spike in popularity since the first two seasons have been made available to stream on Netflix, and fans are eager to find out what happened to our main characters following the intense events of the previous batch of episodes.
In the season 2 finale, Sean Wallace and cop-turned-criminal Elliot engaged in a savage battle which culminated with the former close to death and hanging from a crane.
The season 3 teaser confirms that Sean survived (he does that), but now seems to be behind bars. As for Elliot, he appeared to lose any spark of his former self that remained following the death of his father,...

Three brothers and their bullying father go on a fateful outing in this subtle and twisty Scottish tale
Low-budget but relatively hefty in impact, this Scottish thriller revolves around three adult brothers and their father who go on a hunting trip none of them will forget. If you’re deeply spoiler adverse, stop reading now because the opening twist is pretty nifty; for those who wish to know a little more, here goes. Minutes into the film we work out that Don (Paul Higgins), the patriarch of the family, is an abusive bully who constantly belittles and humiliates his three boys, especially when they fail to prove their manliness by shooting defenceless forest animals. Middle son John (Brian Vernel) seems to crack and turns the rifle on Don, who promptly mocks him further, goading John to pull the trigger. Instead, eldest son Henry shoots Don instead as the youngest, Vince...

Betrayal tells the harrowing story of three brothers—John, Henry, and Vince—who band together to exact revenge on their abusive father after years of suffering under his cruel rule. Set in the remote Scottish Highlands, the film paints a distressing portrait of domestic violence through Rodger Griffiths’ taut direction and deeply felt performances from the talented cast.
Daniel Portman, Brian Vernel, and Calum Ross give raw, compelling turns as the brothers aiming to rid themselves forever of their tyrannical dad, played with chilling menace by veteran actor Paul Higgins. Suffice it to say, this is no ordinary father-son drama. After their beloved mother’s tragic death, the brothers reach their breaking point and hatch a plan to lure the man into the woods on a hunting trip, with murder in mind. But as they quickly discover, retaliation often breeds more retaliation, and long-buried secrets threaten to destroy the fragile trust holding their alliance together.

In Betrayal, three desperate brothers return to the remote Scottish woodland where they killed their abusive father only to discover his shallow grave is now empty, forcing them to question each other’s loyalty as fear and paranoia set in.
The movie stars Paul Higgins, Brian Vernel, Daniel Portman, Calum Ross, Anita Vettesse, James Harkness, and Joanne Thomson, and is an absolute must-watch. While not a traditional "horror movie" per se, it will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish and features powerhouse performances from its impressive cast.
Ross is fantastic in the movie and, for those of you familiar with his work from Netflix's Wednesday or on stage in the West End as part of Stranger Things: The First Shadow, you can expect yet another stellar portrayal of an incredibly complex character here.

Updated with confirmation from the team. Motherwell Fc has confirmed that former Netflix and ESPN exec Erik Barmack and wife, Courtney, a former longtime YouTube exec who is now at, are bidding to become the Scottish soccer team’s newest investors.

The history of Hollywood adapting video games in movies and TV shows has been a little spotty, to say the least, but in recent years, I think the tide has been turning. With shows like The Last of Us and Fallout, video game fans have developed a little hope to see their favorite adapted into a great piece of art and while there will still be wasted efforts like Netflix’s The Witcher and Paramount+’s Halo, they are still only two shows. So, in keeping with that spirit of hope we created a list of the 10 best TV shows that were adapted from video games, they can be original stories in the world of video games but they have to be connected to the original IP.

Hulu has shared the trailer and key art for Shardlake, the new series based on the popular Tudor murder mystery novels by C.J. Sansom. The series premieres on Wednesday, May 1, on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in select territories.
Drenched in mystery, suspense, and deception, this four-part drama, based on the first novel in C.J. Sansom’s book series, is an eerie whodunnit adventure set in 16th-century England during the dissolution of the monasteries.
Shardlake’s sheltered life as a lawyer is turned upside down when Cromwell instructs him to investigate the murder of one of his commissioners at a monastery in the remote town of Scarnsea. The commissioner was gathering evidence to close the monastery, and it is now imperative for Cromwell’s own political survival that Shardlake both solves the murder and closes the monastery.

Violent crime drama Gangs of London is back for a third series, the cast has been confirmed.
After revitalising action cinema with the two astonishing martial arts films in The Raid franchise, Gareth Evans turned to television, co-creating Gangs of London with Matt Flannery in 2019.
And now, with season three confirmed and on its way, we wait to see

Contains spoilers for episodes 1 and 2 of Gangs of London.
You might have guessed it from the title, but Gangs of London is, well, a show about gangs. This brooding, gothic, not-quite-as-we-know-it version of the UK’s capital city is teaming with them, all jostling violently for their position under the watchful gaze of the shadowy, sinister “Investors”. And with the recent arrival of season two, even more criminal factions have been thrown into the extremely volatile mix.
Created by The Raid’s Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery, with the second season overseen by lead director Corin Hardy, Gangs of London is a complex beast. Such is the nature of its intricate plotting, time-jumping narrative and huge cast of characters, it can be difficult to keep up with who’s who. So, let’s break down the gangs of Gangs – who they are, who they’ve pissed off and who they’ve made alliances with…...

It may be a few weeks before the second season of Gangs of London — the ultra-violent crime series created by The Raid filmmaker Gareth Evans — lands on AMC+ in the U.S., but U.K. audiences can now watch the latest blood-soaked, body-count amassing thrill ride through the British capital.
Launching on Comcast’s Sky on Thursday (the first season broke records for the Sky Atlantic channel in 2020), Gangs of London season 2 — once again produced by Pulse Films and Sister — follows a similar theme of rival kingpins and crime families colluding and colliding in their bid for control of London’s underworld, often through the most violent means possible.
“For season 1, we all mucked in together and tried to put in everything that we loved and believed in to raise the genre mix in a family saga like this, and we hoped it would go down well,...

As anyone who’s even fleetingly dipped into the vast, storied genre of the British spy thriller can attest, there are a few different games afoot in “Slow Horses.” What looks at first like a story of restless, demoted spies finding their purpose gets quickly twisted up in MI5 politics. Then, a couple of hours into the six-episode season, the show tries to turn everything we thought we knew inside out. With its starry cast, handsome budget, and slick cinematography, the new Apple TV Plus drama (based on a Mick Herron novel and executive produced by Graham Yost) works hard to differentiate itself from every other MI5 narrative we’ve seen before. By season’s end, “Slow Horses” feels more familiar than truly innovative, albeit with some sharper acting and jokes than most others it’s following.

Once per episode, Gangs of London will grab you by the scruff of the neck, hurl you against a wall, and remind you with repeated blunt force that the show comes from Gareth Evans, one of the great action directors alive. (If you haven’t seen them yet, put The Raid: Redemption and The Raid 2 in your queue now.) Evans created the series with Matt Flannery, and co-writes and directs several of the early episodes. But whether he’s credited or not, . If they’re not the absolute peak...

Open casting search underway to fill one further key role.
Ralph Ineson, Brian Vernel and Lorn Macdonald have joined dark family thriller Kill from UK production company Synchronicity Films.
It marks the debut directorial feature of Rodger Griffiths and will be co-produced by Mr B Films. Glasgow-based Synchronicity said it would be its first project to go into production once Covid-19 lockdown measures are lifted.
The story centres on three brothers and their violent father (Ineson), who live in a remote forest. The brothers attempt to kill their father while on a hunting expedition but this begins a deadly game of cat-and-mouse.

Explosive thriller Gangs of London landed on Sky and Cinemax in one intense nine episode package this April. It boasts a large international ensemble cast to match its sprawling narrative style. The cast is a mix of well known faces and relative newcomers all mixed up in the fray.
But who plays who, and where might you have seen them before? We break down the main and supporting cast including their key roles to date and exciting upcoming projects.
The Wallaces Colm Meaney as Finn Wallace
Finn Wallace is the patriarch of the family and the head of a massive crime syndicate who is assassinated in episode one of Gangs of London but appears in flashback throughout the series. Irish actor Colm Meaney might be best recognised by some for his recurring role in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Chief Miles O’Brien.

If you’re not a massive fan of Guy Ritchie or Vinnie Jones a new show called Gangs Of London might sound a bit off putting. Do yourself a favor and ignore those instincts. This is comfortably one of the very best shows Sky, or indeed anyone, has released in some time. A massive, cinematic epic, this show is likely to be talked about in the same breath as Game Of Thrones for it’s incredible scale, complex politics and its sense that any character could be killed at any moment.
Gangs Of London is about organised crime in the capital, for sure, but it’s a million miles from your average geezer-pleaser. You don’t have to have any interest whatsoever in gangsters to get hooked on Gangs Of London. But you do have to have a strong stomach for violence.
