Biography

Matthew Fredrick (professionally known as Matthias) is an American Youtuber and filmmaker. Born in Woodland Hills, CA, Matt is the middle child of a three-kid family. He has an older sister named Sarah and a younger brother named Joseph. A shy kid, Matthew grew up loving to play basketball with his brother, Joey, and their best friend, Trevor. At the age of 11, Matt's family moved to Orlando, Florida because of his father's job working for Disney. When Matt was 13, they moved back to CA. In 10th grade, he joined a band as a singer, often making up lyrics on the spot during live shows. Around the same time, he met Amanda Faye during PE class. They later got married on May 18th, 2013. In 2016 they had their daughter Luna, and a few years later, their son, Atticus. In college, Matt studied film and music and directed a student film that won "Best Cinematography." In April of 2012, while still in college, Matt started his first YouTube channel called "Matthias" with the help of his friend, Alex (Jewel Thief.) He has been releasing popular content ever since and very much enjoys it. He was the first place winner on the Internet Reality show "Internet Icon," in 2013. In 2015, Matt started his Youtube channel, "Team Edge" with his brother Joey, and brother-in-law, Bryan Valle. A year later they started "Hi5 Studios" (which was later renamed "Spellbound,) and moved into their studio. Later, Joey took over "Team Edge" and Matt focused more on his other channels. "Dope or Nope," "Get Good Gaming," "Project 863," "Battle Universe" and "Rekt" are just a few.
