The Recipes In The Dolly Parton Cookbook
The Parton sisters have shared more than 80 of their family recipes. In “Good Lookin’ Cookin’,” cooks will find family recipes such as macaroni and cheese, spare ribs and strawberry shortcake.

If you’ve attended a mainstream country concert in the past decade, you’re probably familiar with the part of the set where the headliner sprinkles in a non-obvious cover from an adjacent genre like pop, R&b, or classic rock. It’s a move with any number of purposes: to show an artist’s range of influences, to reel in a drifting crowd with a massive hit, to appeal to a wider audience, or to highlight how fluid and arbitrary genre borders really are when you strip a song back to its essentials.

Blake Shelton‘s Barmageddon aired its Season 2 finale on Monday, January 22, and fans are hoping it wasn’t the last episode ever of the bar-themed game show. The show, which was co-created by Shelton, Carson Daly, and Lee Metzger, first premiered on December 5, 2022, on the USA Network and returned for a second season on November 13, 2023. Daly serves behind the bar, Shelton provides musical accompaniment, and Nikki Garcia (formerly known as Nikki Bella in WWE) hosts the competition. Each episode, which takes place at Shelton’s Nashville bar, Ole Red, sees two celebrities (each paired with a viral internet sensation) face off in a series of classic bar games with a twist, including Keg Curling, Drunken Axe Hole, and Sharts (“Shelton Darts”). Shelton himself competed on Monday’s finale, where he battled it out with singer-songwriter and former American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina. The former Voice coach was victorious and took...

Country star Kane Brown’s biggest song, “Thank God,” is a duet with his wife, Katelyn Brown. That’s one way to get the press interested in a relationship! Despite the tune’s popularity, the “Bury Me In Georgia” singer said his wife has no intention of becoming an artist. Notable, “Thank God” was more prominent on the pop chart in the United States than the country chart.
Kane Brown’s ‘Thank God’ was a solo song before he made it a duet with his wife
Some of the biggest names in music have been married couples. Sonny & Cher. Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Captain & Tennille. In each of these cases, the couples in question were both full-time time musicians. “Thank God” is not part of this tradition.
During a 2022 interview with Billboard, Brown discussed his wife’s mindset. “She doesn’t want to be an artist — she just loves singing,” Brown said.

The Grand Ole Opry celebrated Dolly Parton’s 78th birthday on Jan. 19 with a night of performances at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Friday. While the country legend herself wasn’t present for the Opry Goes Dolly event, other musicians took the stage to perform her hits in tribute — or at least they were supposed to. Singer-songwriter Elle King derailed the performance by appearing onstage in a seemingly inebriated state: At one point, she admitted to being “hammered” and forgot the words to Parton’s songs during her set.

With “Dancing with the Stars” set to come back for a 32nd season this fall on ABC after spending last year on Disney+, there’s a long list of celebrities who deserve to compete on the dance floor. Two of my previous suggestions came true: Frankie Muniz (who came in third in season 25) and Kel Mitchell (who came in second in season 28). Below is a list of female stars I think the show should consider inviting to the ballroom to vie for the next Mirror Ball Trophy. Do you agree with my picks? Vote in our poll at the bottom of this post to let us know which you’d most like to see on “DWTS.” And feel free to let us know in the comments what other stars you would like to see when the show comes back in September.

With “Dancing with the Stars” returning for a 32nd season this fall on ABC after switching last year to Disney+, there’s a long list of celebrities who deserve a chance on the dance floor. Two of my past suggestions came true: Frankie Muniz (who came in third on season 25) and Kel Mitchell (who came in second on season 28). Below are six male stars I think the show should consider inviting to compete for the next Mirror Ball Trophy. Do you agree with these picks? Vote in our poll at the bottom of this post to let us know who you’d most like to see on “DWTS.” And feel free to sound off in the comments about what other stars you’d like to see when the show comes back in September.

Lauren Alaina has enjoyed a wildly successful country music career after becoming runner-up on the 10th season of “American Idol”.
The singer recently sat down with Et Canada’s Carlos Bustamante and discussed her upcoming wedding to fiancé Cam Arnold, joking about landing some celebrity “cameos” for the nuptials.
One star she’s hoping is Dolly Parton. In fact, earlier this year she referenced the video that Parton recorded for her induction into the Grand Ol Opry.

“In fact, that day, I made a joke that my wedding was going to have to be pretty good, so we’re working on it. Our wedding day’s got some serious living up to do. Maybe Dolly Parton can make a video,” he said at the time.
She doubled down on that hope, telling Bustamante, “Actually, I’m not going to write my own vows.

It’s no secret that American Idol is the stepping stone most artists need to boost their careers. No doubt, that’s true for Lauren Alaina, the well-known singer and composer. The star was a strong contender on the 10th season of the singing show as she finished in second place overall. Since then, she’s gone on to build quite a solid career featuring albums like Wildflower, which was her first, Road Less Traveled, and Sitting Pretty on Top of the World. The singer/songwriter also appeared on Dancing With The Stars with her partner Gleb Savchenko. Together, they finished in fourth place overall.

Chris Young released a new single, “Young Love & Saturday Nights,” incorporating the signature guitar lick from David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel.” The track was co-produced by Young with Corey Crowder and Chris DeStefano and written by Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure, and Josh Thompson. Bowie has been credited as an unlikely writer on the song, as well.

Charity Lawson is keeping Brayden around. On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette, Charity was warned the 24-year-old travel nurse is immature and treating the show like “spring break,” but opted to give him a rose anyway.
The week started on a much more positive note when Aaron B. landed the first one-on-one date of the season. The duo had a classic date, with Charity picking Aaron up in a red convertible and driving him to the Hollywood sign where they enjoyed a champagne picnic before climbing up to the iconic letters.
“I haven’t felt this spark in a minute… it just feels so good,” Aaron told Charity, who was left wondering if their connection was “too good to be true.”
On the nighttime portion of their date, Aaron confessed that he wasn’t always the best boyfriend, before sharing that he worked to fix his issues in therapy.

The semifinals have come and gone on “The Masked Singer” and sadly, California Roll did not make it to the final two slots. Still, they’re pretty pleased with their run, even if fans knew who they were almost immediately. In fact, it was actually “a compliment” to them that that was the case.
Wednesday night’s episode saw Macaw, Medusa and California Roll face off for a trip to the finals, with the giant sushi characters first performing Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway.” Then, in the night’s battle royale, they performed Bruno Mars’ “Runaway Baby” with the other contestants. But, in the end, California Roll was unmasked, and revealed to be… Pentatonix.
Of course, judges Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy knew that, having guessed correctly well prior to their reveal. The same can be said for fans, who picked up on Scott Hoying’s vocals in particular. And admittedly,...

When people think of American Idol, they often think of names like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, Katharine McPhee, and others. Interestingly, not all of these well-known contestants actually won the competition. For some, the exposure from Idol was enough to skyrocket their careers even higher than those of the people who took home the grand prize. Here are eight American Idol contestants who became more successful than the winners of their seasons.

As the finale for season 31 of “Dancing with the Stars” approaches this Monday night on Disney+, the last four celebrities in the competition who are gunning for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy are Wayne Brady, Charli D’Amelio, Shangela, and Gabby Windey. Each of them have proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the ballroom throughout these past nine weeks. There’s a case to be made for any one of them to come out on top. However, the one who I think we should really keep an eye out for is Windey.
Throughout the show’s long history, four “Bachelorette” stars have competed for the Mirror Ball trophy. So far two of them have won. In 2019 Hannah Brown managed to prevail in a finale that also included Lauren Alaina (fourth place), Ally Brooke (third place), and Kel Mitchell (runner-up). Dance ability isn’t the only factor that affects a contestant’s performance on “Dancing with the Stars.” While half of the results are determined by the judges’ scores, the other half depends on the votes of viewers at home. That’s how we got Bobby Bones, one of the most shocking victors in the history of the show. Could “Jersey Shore” reality star Vinny Guadagnino follow in his footsteps this year?
Bobby Bones was never the best dancer in season 27. Rivals like Milo Manheim and Evanna Lynch consistently outscored him on the judges’ leaderboard.
