Exclusive: Hope springs eternal, at least Raising Hope does.
The Emmy-nominated Greg Garcia-created sitcom that ran on Fox from 2010-14 will be back for one night this weekend in a virtual reunion to benefit the A Is For charity.
Hosted by Ashley Nicole Black, the March 13 get-together (link here) will see Garcia joined by cast members Martha Plimpton, Garret Dillahunt, Lucas Neff, Shannon Woodward and Baylie & Rylie Cregut.
There won’t be a script reading, as many reunions have done over the past year. What there will be, I’m told, is some very up-close and personal recollections of the four seasons that Raising Hope ran. Some unfiltered responses to digital submitted audience questions are also on offer too.
The reunion is free, but a $20 donation is necessary if you want to ask questions of the participants. “I’m excited to get into some real behind-the-scenes stuff,” Plimpton told Deadline of the gathering.

Katy Perry has landed a role in "Raising Hope". The "E.T." hitmaker took to Twitter on Wednesday, February 22 to show a picture of her fictional character named Rikki. She posted the image along with a message which read, "I hope I don't get type-cast."
In the Twitpic, Perry is seen channeling her inner prison attendant. Wearing a red, wild curly wig, the 27-year-old singer looks menacing in her office uniform. She stands next to Shannon Woodward's Sabrina, who dons an orange jail jumpsuit.
In a recent interview, Perry revealed how she got the role. "Shannon Woodward is my best friend," she said. "A couple weeks ago, I was home, just toasting up a frozen chicken fillet when she called me up and asked if I wanted to do something 'fun' for a change and try out a guest role on her TV show. I thought, 'Sure, I have nothing else to do,...

Raising Hope's executive producer Greg Garcia has revealed that he has no plans to recast the role of Hope. Hope is played by twins Bayley and Rylie Crecut and Garcia explained that they will also feature in the second season. The news comes shortly after the team behind Modern Family revealed that they are recasting the role of baby Lily. Garcia suggested that the Modern Family producers had made the right decision, telling Entertainment Weekly: "You can tell those little girls weren't having fun. It just came across on screen. I think they did the right thing. "Certainly you work with child actors and you know all the stories. But as a producer, you want to know that you're doing something good by having these children on the show. And I think any time it's so apparent they're not enjoying their time on set, [recasting (more)...
