Christopher Dierenfeldt has directed many films, beginning at age
seven, he created stop motion films with his sister, Gabrielle
Dierenfeldt. His films evolved in to live action starring family and
friends.
In 2009, he directed "Flint Hills Delights", which starred his sister, and won first place in the open division at the Flint Hills Film Festival.
He then directed "Ginger's Encounter" (2010), which he and his sister wrote. "Ginger's Encounter" won first place at the Reel Spirit Young Filmmaker's Showcase in Kansas City, Mo. ("Ginger's Encounter" was also Selected at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival.)
Next he directed "Empty" (2010), which was also selected at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival, and won "Best Drama" in the Filmmakers of Tomorrow category at the 2011 San Luis Obispo International Film Festival.
For the 2010 Flint Hills Film Festival, he directed "What". "What" won second place.
He Then wrote and directed "The Dog Thief" (2011). "The Dog Thief" Was accepted to several film festivals; including the CineYouth Chicago Film Festival. He also co-wrote and directed "super granny" (2011), which one second place at the Reel Spirit Young Filmmakers Showcase, and was featured in an episode of "Cinema KC".
In the fall of 2011, he directed "The Sheep Rustler", a 20 minute western he wrote with his sister starring several local actors.
He then directed "Mail & More" (2012), which won Best Comedy at the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival, Best Comedy at the Delta Moon Student Film Festival,and the Most Promising Young Filmmaker Award at the Action/Cut Film Festival. "Mail and More" was accepted to the National Film Festival For Talented Youth (NFFTY), and the Tall Grass Film Festival.
In 2012, he co-wrote and directed "Will De Beast", which was completed the December of 2013.
