Director: Chad Archibald. Writer: Jayme Laforest. Cast: Aidan Devine, Ava Preston, Jess Salgueiro, Michael Reventar and Ari Millen. I'll Take Your Dead is the latest horror film from director Chad Archibald and his production house Black Fawn Films. Also developed by Breakthrough Entertainment and writer Jayme Laforest, I'll Take Your Dead could only have been shot in the snowy climes of Ontario. One part gangster thriller and one part ghost story, I'll Take Your Dead begins with a father - trying to protect his daughter. His work of choice is dissolving bodies, for the local gangbangers. Not much later, Act II slows the film's plot development, while supernatural elements waver in and out of the film. Overall, I'll Take Your Dead is a decent thriller, which requires a bit of patience. The ghost story elements begin with a robbery. But, what are the rules for ghosts entering or exiting scenes and being seen?...

This morning the Canadian Screen Awards announced their 2017 nominations, recognizing the best of last year's Canadian films.
The awards are given out by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. This year's nominees boast a diverse line up of films that tell stories not just in English and French, but also Mandarin, Atikamekw and Inuktiut.
The most high-profile of the bunch would have to be Xavier Dolan's It's Only the End of the World, which is a likely contender at the Oscars this year in the Best Foreign Language Film category. It made the shortlist of nine films that will be considered at the Oscars, which also includes Germany's Toni Erdmann and Chile's Neruda.

As we are six days away from an epic superhero TV crossover on The CW, last night’s The Flash continues the adventures of the fastest man alive where Barry Allen has to face the meta-human Blackout (guest star Michael Reventar). I’m familiar with Blackout a little bit and the way they portrayed him in this episode was surprising as I thought they would take him on a more villainous route. I felt really sorry for him because this was a guy who just trying to have a great time with his friends that night before the particle accelerator incident. Right now, there are three different categories of people that got affected by the incident. There are the heroes (Barry), the villains and the victims and Blackout was one of them. We also got the return of Arrow’s Clock King (played by the masterful Robert Knepper) as he took the entire…...

The Flash, Season 1, Episode 7, “Power Outage”
Written by Alison Schapker & Grainne Godfree
Directed by Larry Shaw
Airs Tuesdays at 8pm Et on the CW
This week, The Flash goes up against Farooq (guest star Michael Reventar), a metahuman who must harness electricity in order to stay alive. During their battle, Farooq attacks The Flash and siphons all his powers. Meanwhile, Tockman leads a coup inside the Central City police department and takes several people hostage, including Joe and Iris.
With great power comes great responsibility. We’ve heard it time and time again, and while many superhero stories emphasize the burden of that responsibility, “Power Outage” takes a very different approach. This week, Barry admits that he loves being The Flash. We see it early on in the episode, when Barry uses his super-speed to cut through a lineup at a coffee shop, than later on when he laughs in...
