Los Angeles Lakers power forward Anthony Davis was drafted with the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the then-New Orleans Hornets. In 2019, he was traded to the Lakers and has played for the team ever since. But despite being a member of one of the most well-known and storied franchises in basketball, the athlete is pretty private about his personal life and the woman he’s married to.
Here’s what we know about Anthony Davis’ wife Marlen Polonco Davis.

After making it through the three-month Orlando bubble without a single case of Covid-19, the NBA couldn’t make it through two days of their out-of-the-bubble 2020-21 season before the virus wreaked havoc.
The league announced that Wednesday night’s game between the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder has been postponed due to health and safety reasons.
In short, the Rockets did not have the minimum eight players available for tonight’s game. The matchup was set to take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, one of the few venues allowing fans to attend in person.
In its announcement, the league said three Rockets players returned either positive or inconclusive Covid tests. Further contract tracing led to four additional players — including star players John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins — having to quarantine. At the same time, a separate incident involving James Harden arose after a video emerged of him...

Anthony Davis isn’t buying in to the notion that he’s a long-term pillar for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Davis, who is signed with the basketball team only through this year, told the Chicago Tribune in an interview Saturday that he’d be interested in exploring something with the city’s Bulls team.
“I mean, (this is) definitely hometown,” Davis said. “If the opportunity ever presents itself and when that time comes, I’d definitely consider it.”
Davis was acquired July 6 from the New Orleans Pelicans, but has repeatedly said he’s only focused on the coming year, when he’ll be paired with LeBron James, DeMarcus Cousins, Kyle Kuzma and Danny Green in an effort to get the Lakers back to the playoffs.
After his introductory press conference, Davis said that he had one year with the Lakers, then would review his options. The words had to terrorize the organization,...

The Toronto Raptors made history tonight, beating the defending champion Golden State Warriors 114-110 to become the first National Basketball Assn. team based outside the USA to win the league championship.
The Raptors were led by guard Fred VanVleet, who came up big in the fourth quarter with 12 points. The North had balanced scoring, with four players scoring 20 or more points. Andre Inguodala led the Warriors with 22 points.
The game marked the final appearance at Oracle Arena for the Warriors, who head to a posh new arena in downtown San Francisco next year. It also may mark the end of the team’s NBA dynasty, as several key players are free agents. The Warriors won titles in 2015, 2017 and 2018 with the same basic core, but they were denied a third straight win in 2019 by the Raptors.
At times, it seemed like the series was more about the struggles of Golden State,...

Last night’s Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals proved to the Toronto Raptors’ dismay that it ain’t over until it’s over.
On the verge of their first Larry O’Brien Championship trophy and in front of a roaring hometown crowd back in the 6ix, the Canadian kingpins looked like they had it in the basket Monday. With the return of Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors’ lineup proving short-lived with an Achilles injury, Toronto took the lead in the second half and seemed to be minutes away from being the first non-u.S. team to win an NBA title
Then the Warriors decided to show T.O. and the world exactly why they are the reigning champs. In a stunning team effort led by Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and DeMarcus Cousins and a little bit of luck, the Warriors put the brakes on the Raptors with a 106-...
