What is pressure? That's what Ken Jennings was feeling when tasked with taking over Jeopardy! hosting duties temporarily following the death of the show's longtime host, Alex Trebek. It's the end of an era for E! News.
The long-running entertainment show has become a casualty of the Coronavirus pandemic, according to Variety.
Pop of the Morning and In the Room have also been nixed at the network.
The decision to cancel the trio comes as parent company NBCUniversal is looking to “streamline its programming and restructure internally to create more efficiencies.”
All three shows were produced in New York City, but as part of the restructuring, future productions are said to return to Los Angeles.
E! News had relocated to New York in August 2019 in a shakeup that saw the series being shifted from its 7 p.m. Et perch to 7 a.m. Et.
E! News has been overhauled multiple times since it debuted in 1991.

Yet, on Tuesday morning's Pop of the Morning, co-star Angelina Pivarnick stood by Nicole Polizzi's decision to depart the MTV hit. "She has three kids. I mean, it must be hard for her to leave her kids to actually film. She has a newborn at home," Pivarnick defended to co-hosts Victor Cruz, Lilliana Vazquez and Scott Tweedie. "You have to think about and step in her shoes and just be like, 'Ok! Maybe this is what it is.'" In fact, Pivarnick empathized with Polizzi, and even joked that she struggles leaving behind her cats and dog to...

Guy Fieri stopped by Pop of the Morning Tuesday to chat about his new Tournament of Champions premiering on Food Network March 4, but the co-hosts couldn't help but ask the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host about his recent hang-out with Pacino, Sylvester Stallone and some other big-time Hollywood stars. Paige DeSorbo is not one to dwell on past flames. In this exclusive clip from Friday's Pop of the Morning, the Summer House star discusses the future of her current relationship with Perry Rahbar and explains why last year's on-again, off-again fling with Bravo co-star Carl Radke didn't breed tension between herself and Lindsay Hubbard (whose present entanglements with Radke came up during Wednesday night's season premiere). "Honestly, I didn't care at all," she tells Potm's Lilliana Vazquez, Scott Tweedie and Victor Cruz, responding to a question about how she felt returning to the Hamptons with a serious boyfriend, knowing Radke would be there as well.
