Kasper Hayes
- Art Department
Kasper Hayes painted decorations to the 3-4 stages, on Århus teater (Århus teater is the second largest theater in Denmark) for about 5 years, before he did the "alletiders julenisse".
After the TV production he went back to Århus teater, for some time (well, he did a few jobs more for TV. Ie "lågen i bogen" and a few more projects). Before he took a 3 1/2 year education in ordinary house painting, and worked as a (house)painter for a 2 or 3 years.
Then he went on the traditional "waltz" vals, valsen, as a German "freireisende maler wandergessele" (Ie. Travelling painter journeyman) (ie. Rejsende maler naver).witch he failed after about 2 years. He came ( by a mistake) to close to his hometown. And the rules of "the journeyman" says that he had to stop because of that. Only after 3 years and 1 day, journeymen are aloud to cross the 50 km line around there hometowns. So......!
After a little while, he then began trying to make his own little painters company, and almost did it! But was then struck down, by serious health issues. And had to go on early pension instead.
Just before Kasper Hayes came to "the world of theater and TV", he was a sign painter/printer! So all in all, he has 3 painter educations and pretty much knowledge in "building" and construction work, from the many years in the house building/painter job, and "the (journeyman) waltz".
Today he still works a little, when he can. But only for small productions that has the time for it (he IS sick and slow).
As a last comment. He can be pretty hard to reach, since he is living on a boat, sailing around Denmark. He also, only "works" for free, and it has to go to "something good"! If not. Don't bother asking him, it will only be a "no thank's, but thank you for asking".
