As fans of the ABC Family series know all too well, The Nine Lives of Chloe King was cancelled after one season of 10 episodes. The last episode wasn't intended to be the end of the series so it left viewers with plenty of cliffhangers.
There were some plans to end the series with a two-hour made-for-tv movie but it didn't happen. Now, ABC Family and Alloy Entertainment have announced plans to release the movie script this Friday, September 13th.
ABC Family Executive VP Kate Juergens said, "Although we ultimately decided not to continue with the series, we wanted to make the Chloe King movie script available to her amazing fans to provide them the closure they’ve been clamoring for."
Word is that the script will answer fans’ questions about Chloe's choice between Brian and Alek, The Order, Whitley Rezza’s true motivations,...

In a purrfect world, we would have gotten a second season of ABC Family's The Nine Lives of Chloe King. Unfortunately, 2011's cult fave about a teen (Skyler Samuels) descended from an ancient race of cat people only had one life to live, so fans were left with a lot of questions after its cliffhanger — and a lingering hope that they'd someday hear good news about the rumored Chloe King TV-movie.

Comic-Con regulars know Thursday is usually the calm before the epic storm of Friday and Saturday. And without "Twilight" on the agenda, this year's first full day of the Con looks even less packed than usual.
Except, of course, for the 20th Anniversary of "The X-Files" which should fill Ballroom 20 past its breaking point and likely have hardcore fans lining up early just to guarantee a seat.
On the movie side, panels for "Divergent" and "Ender's Game" will try to lure the "Twilight" crowd (and hopefully appeal to some non-"Twilight" loving sci-fi fans as well). While anticipated TV panels also include fan favorites "Psych," "Dexter," "Teen Wolf," "Wilfred" and "Beauty and the Beast" and newcomers "Hannibal," "The Blacklist," "Star-Crossed" and "Intelligence" (with "Lost" star Josh Holloway).
Plus, the first ever Con panel for the BBC's awesome "Sherlock" (which airs stateside on PBS). Sadly, without stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman...

Now that Elena will be sporting fangs, "The Vampire Diaries" has a new girl-next-door headed back to Mystic Falls. Zap2it has learned that 20-year-old actress Grace Phipps has landed the role.
Phipps, best known as Amy on the short-lived "Nine Lives of Chloe King," will play April, described as "a natural beauty with a bit of an edge."
As we were the first to report, 16-year-old April is from Mystic Falls, and, after a death in the family, she decides to move back home from private school. Executive producer Julie Plec describes her as "a natural beauty with a bit of an edge."
She's got childhood history with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), so it's important to Elena to protect her from Mystic Falls' many secrets. We've got our suspicions that she'll be wrapped up in the monster mayhem before too long, though! Expect to see...

We already know he'll return this Thursday, based on the official preview, but what about down the line?
"I'm actually in Vancouver shooting an episode right now," the actor told me over the phone. "I'm really excited. I think it will be shown a few more episodes into the season."
What's to come for Faye and Lee?
"Things are going to get heated up," Damon teased. "There's definitely tension there.... What's interesting about Lee as a character is he's sort of like a genie, in sense. He'll sort of grant you your wishes but not necessarily in the way you want, because you didn't ask for them in the right way. It looks like Chloe King may indeed have nine lives, or at least her show may have a second one. At today's ABC Family session of the Television Critics Association Press Tour, president Michael Riley said that a TV movie of cancelled The Nine Lives of Chloe King may be coming.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King was cancelled in September following a less-than-successful season of 10 episodes. Like many ongoing serials that end prematurely, Chloe King left viewers with lots of unanswered questions. In the final episode, Chloe (Skyler Samuels) lost another of her lives and was kissed by Brian (Grey Damon) -- who then died (?) from the contact. Alek (Benjamin Stone) walked in on his brother Zane (Daniel Sharman) as he stood over Jasmine (Alyssa Diaz) and Valentina (Alicia Coppola) as they are dying from poison.
Interestingly, Riley prefers not to talk...

Potentially amazing news, fans of The Nine Lives of Chloe King: ABC Family has not ruled out bringing the drama back... in movie form!
At today's Television Critics Association winter press session, network president Michael Riley said he tries to take a "long-term view" of all shows," adding that Chloe King - a TV Fanatic favorite - was an "amazing" series that may yet be resuscitated.
We "are on the verge of putting a movie into development," Riley said of a film version of the show. "We always look at the intellectual property that we're capitalizing on and making sure there's opportunities for even more storytelling."
Notice to careful phrasing of Riley and it's clear a Chloe King movie is still a long ways from production. But the possibility does exist, which is more than we could say 30 minutes ago.
Would you go see a Chloe King movie?...

ABC Family President Michael Riley took the Television Critics Association press tour stage on Monday (January 8) morning to talk about a fantastic summer for for his network, a summer that saw the launch of one major dramatic hit ("Switched at Birth") and at least one other dramatic success ("The Lying Game"). Naturally, I started the Q&A portion of the panel by asking about the summer's lone clear failure, "The Nine Lives of Chloe King." I found "Chloe King" to be a properly frothy piece of summer counter-programming and many viewers agreed, but compared to "Switched at Birth" and...

"Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "Make it or Break It" will return to ABC Family on March 26, network president Michael Riley says.
Riley praised his Golden Globe-nominated actress Shailene Woodley -- uh, not for your show, buddy -- for a room of reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour, and also announced that the network has branched out into musicals. Chelsea Kane and Jane Seymour will star in in the "Mama Mia"-like "Elixr" later in 2012.
Most importantly, though, Riley said that much like Chloe King and her many lives, "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" could return for a TV movie. Nothing's official, but the network is working on developing the project.
Of choosing not to move forward with the show, Riley says, "We never talk about canceling shows at ABC Family. We always make sure we air all of our productions because for us, it's very much a long-term view.

Diane Haithman is contributing to Deadline’s TCA coverage. Updated: We may not have seen the last of The Nine Lives Of Chloe King on ABC Family. The network canceled the drama series about a girl with cat-like powers in September after one modestly rated season. But during this morning’s ABC Family executive session at TCA, the network’s president Michael Riley said that “we are on the verge of putting a (Chloe King) movie into development.” No details to announce on story, but the plan is “to capitalize on the storytelling that’s already been in place,” he said. Dan Berendsen (Hannah Montana: The Movie), who developed and executive produced the series, is on board to write the Chloe King movie. In talking about the series, Riley didn’t want to use the word canceled. “We didn’t cut it short — we never talk about canceling shows at ABC Family,...

The Secret Circle returns tonight (The CW, 9 p.m. Et), and while Cassie (Britt Robertson) is busy trying to understand what coming from a “dark magic” bloodline actually means, Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) tries to cheer up Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) by attempting to get their individual powers back. Enter the new recurring character Lee Labeque, played by Friday Night Lights’ Grey Damon, who Faye finds advertising his voodoo botanica online and asks for help.
When Damon read for the role, he went in with a gypsy in mind, but now he sees Lee having more of a rocker/biker vibe.

Paging Doctors Spengler, Stantz and Venkman: the residents of Mystic Falls are in desperate need of your number. These folks require some serious ghost hunting!
Indeed, the latest Vampire Diaries episode, "Smells Like Teen Spirit," treaded heavily - too much perhaps? - in what Vicki referred to as The Other Side. There were apparitions aplenty, from Anna's pining over Jeremy; to Vicki's devious deal with a late, powerful witch; to the return of Mason Lockwood.
Wait... what?!?
Yes, folks, Taylor Kinney has stepped away from The Edge of Glory for a bit and come back to... haunt Damon? Enact revenge for his murder? Mentor his nephew? There's no way of knowing at the moment, which is part of the frustration with this ghost-heavy storyline.
It's all rather muddled. Anna can apparently touch Jeremy. Vicki was a vision only Jeremy could see, then Matt, then she was back for quasi real,...

More like The Ten Episodes of Chloe King. ABC Family put the cat out for good when it canceled The Nine Lives of Chloe King yesterday due to low ratings. The series was based on the young adult novels written by Liz Braswell, about a teen girl who discovers she has feline powers and is a warrior in the battle between an ancient race and human beings. Phew, that's sounds like a lot for a young chick to handle.
The series started off well thanks to the popularity of the books, drawing more than two million viewers for its debut. But come finale time in mid-August, that number had dwindled to just above one million... More >>...

ABC Family has decided to pull the plug on their freshman drama The Nine Lives of Chloe King. The TV series lasted for 10 episodes, running from June 14th until August 16th.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King debuted to 2.2 million viewers and was cable's fourth-highest rated show amoung females 12-34. Unfortunately, over the course of the season, audience interest waned and the season (now series) finale attracted a little more than one million viewers. Chloe King's cat-like superpowers weren't enough to save her from the scheduling ax: Just as the Fall 2012 Season is getting underway, ABC Family has canceled 'Nine Lives of Chloe King.'
'Deadline' reports that the drama has been killed off after just one season, but that as ABC Family takes with one hand, it gives with the other.
Fellow newbie 'The Lying Game' has received a 12-episode back order from the network, meaning that it will now air for an entire season.
It's also been reported that ABC Family's already looking ahead by preparing to order pilot episodes of 'Strut' from 'Gilmore Girls' creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, and action drama 'Intercept.'

While Chloe King fans are certainly upset that they'll never find out where Chloe's dad was, how her mother reacts to the news of her daughter's gift, or if Brian is really dead, fans of The Lying Game have cause for celebration. The ABC Family drama has been picked up for 12 additional episodes, bringing its first season order to 22, according to Deadline. No word on when the back half of the season will air or what show it'll be paired with, however.
The Lying Game, based on the young adult book series by Sara Shepard (Pretty Little Liars), tells the story of identical twins Sutton and Emma, who were separated at birth but eventually find one another. Once they get back into contact, Emma assumes Sutton's life while Sutton goes off in search of details about their past, including who their birth mother was and just what Sutton's family is hiding.

It turns out that Chloe King only had one life -- at least in the form of the ABC Family drama "The Nine Lives of Chloe King." On Thursday (Sept. 15), the network announced that it will not be picking up the show for a second season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The show was based on the book series of the same name by Liz Braswell and chronicled the doings of teen Chloe King (Skyler Samuels), who discovers she has cat-like powers -- including nine lives.
The series concluded its 10-episode summer run in August. It was also nominated for two Teen Choice Awards -- proving that praise from critics, peers and teens just doesn't equal a guaranteed hit.

In one fell swoop, ABC Family has ended the rest of Chloe King's lives, as the cable net has pulled the plug on The Nine Lives of Chloe King after 10 episodes, according to Entertainment Weekly. The show completed its first (and now, only) season on August 16th.
It's no surprise, as the show's low ratings and failure to capture a significant buzz were writing on the wall early on. Still, it's disappointing because the show grew with each episode and had opened up some rather intriguing plotlines for next season. The demise of Chloe King leaves gymnastics ensemble Make It or Break It as the only drama on the network still in limbo. (Raven-Symone's comedy State of Georgia is currently awaiting word on its fate, as well.)

Alyssa Diaz has mastered her face of fear on film between starring in Shark Night 3D and The Nine Lives of Chloe King. Diaz is visiting with Movie Fanatic for an exclusive interview about the road to Shark Night 3D’s debut as well as what life is like for a lifelong Los Angelino growing up under the bright lights of Hollywood to have her own moment in the spotlight.
In the David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane) directed Shark Night 3D, Diaz is asked to create the impossible: Show utter terror towards a murderous shark that is all animatronic -- all while risking her own life in the realist sense of the phrase. She tells us how she made it work in our exclusive Shark Night 3D interview.

Nine lives and two guys? Some girls have all the luck.
While most of us can barely find one person to moon over, our feline-fueled heroine had suitors up to her perfect curls with two very different guys fighting for her affections. Fittingly, there's also a bit of a battle among Nine Lives of Chloe King fans over which fella she should choose, too.

Stupid promos! Always deceiving. The line about love and life that Brian said in this trailer was taken from letters written to his mother, not anything he uttered to Chloe. Don't you hate when that happens?
Instead, our opening featured Alek and Chloe, and he gave her roses. I keep wanting to think of him as a bad boy, but he really hasn't done anything to deserve that description. He's an all-new kind of guy, a snarky, sassy and daring dude with good intentions and the actions to match. Confusing!
Frank's daughter, Vanessa, joined Meredith, Frank and Chloe for dinner and she seemed like a bit of a dud. It kind of made me feel sorry for Frank. Watching Meredith and Chloe's great relationship must have made him feel kind of ripped off. But it was a pretty cool trick Chloe used that got her to open up about her boyfriend so they could talk.

As the season progresses that you, dear readers, have become more invested in the characters on The Nine Lives of Chloe King. Know who feels the same way? The actors who portray them.
I hate to upset you, but Benjamin Stone could not attend the convention. Thankfully, the rest of the cast made up for his absence, with Grey Damon even noting he's on Team Alek. He recognizes the fans are falling for Alek over Brian. What does he make of that? Find out below.
When asked to describe her character in one word, Amy Pietz (Meredith King) chose warm. I'd have to agree. Watch as she talks about how working on Chloe King has better prepared her for motherhood, how long Meredith will be in the dark about Chloe's true heritage and how great it would be to have some Meredith and Valentina scenes.

The Liars are ill at ease when they each have to confront complicated matters in “Surface Tension,” an all new episode of ABC Family’s hit original series, Pretty Little Liars, premiering Tuesday, July 26th (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. Et/Pt).
Its moving day for Emily, and with a new place to call home, she is feeling more like a guest than part of the family. Hanna is also feeling uneasy, but for her it is in regard to Caleb’s continued shady “business” dealings and his nonchalant attitude about it. And when Toby makes a surprising discovery, Spencer is thrown for a loop by the find and her father’s reaction to it.
With the girls already on edge, could they be sitting targets for “A’s” next move? Or does “A” have bigger plans for the four and is just making them wait?

Photo by ABC Family/Adam Rose You wouldn’t think it to look at her but the petite young actress SkylerSamuels is quite the badass. An admittedly bookish nerd in real life, Skylerhas undergone some pretty intense training to take on the title role in the newABC Family series The Nine Lives of ChloeKing. During a recent set visit, she talked to us about her physicalpreparation for the role and what she’s truly like off screen.
Skyler admitted that prior to signing on to Chloe King she wasn’t veryphysically adept. “I couldn’t throw a punch, a kick. I had trouble running allbefore the pilot.
