[[tmz:video id="0_pyyl4goh"]] The smack talk continues ... Ufc superstar Daniel Cormier is already predicting victory over Jon Jones -- telling TMZ Sports the fight will be "easy work" after what he saw over the weekend. Cormier was leaving 'Gma' in NYC -- where Dana White had just announced Jones vs. Cormier will be the main event at Ufc 200 ... and told us he was Pumped to get another shot at Jj. As for the "easy work" comment -- Cormier...

Two Ufc events in a single weekend is always a double-edged sword. The promotion runs the risk of watering down the cards by spreading talent too thin, and may encounter viewer fatigue by the time the second card rolls around.
To make a long story short, that’s exactly the scenario the Ufc found itself with in relation to Ufc Fight Night 55 from Sydney, Australia and Ufc Fight Night 56 in Brazil. Fight Night 55, headlined by Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold, over-preformed, while Fight Night 56, featuring Shogun Rua and Ovince St. Preux in the main event, grossly under-preformed. If you consider a .500 average decent for a fight promotion, well then the results weren’t that bad, but keep in mind that this could have added up to one stellar card instead of two watered down ones.
With that said, there was still plenty of action to be found.

It was the Ufc’s first trip to Maine, home state of former heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia (who campaigned hard to appear on the card to no avail, as he has not fought in the promotion in years). That marks the 32nd state the promotion has visited, in addition to numerous countries around the globe.
Along the way to the main event, “Smiling” Sam Alvey and Tom Watson put on a great battle for fans where there was really no loser, Sara McMann picked up her first win since her title fight loss to Ronda Rousey, and Thiago Tavares picked up his second submission in a row to open the main card.
Later in the night, Shawn Jordan picked up a much needed win at heavyweight, and debuting fighter and former male model Alan Jouban shocked us all, knocking out opponent and Ufc/Ifl vet Seth Baczynski, proving once again...

It’s time to play armchair matchmaker for the winners from Ufc 174 in Vancouver!
Looking back at the event, Demetrious Johnson retained his belt, continuing his run as the Ufc’s only flyweight champion ever. Rory MacDonald got back in the game, Ryan Bader dominated a former Strikeforce champ, and Ovince St. Preux broke Ryan Jimmo’s arm while attempting a Kimura in a gory finish. Andrei Arlovski pulled out a split decision win in his comeback fight, but likely needs another tune-up before seeing any serious challenge put before him.
On the undercard, a fantastic scrap on the woman’s bantamweight side means a promotional newcomer will get a step up in competition, a pair of Japanese fighters in Michinori Tanaka and Kiichi Kunimoto won big, and South Korean Tae Hyun Bang banked $100,000 in bonus money – all three will be looking at tougher competition moving forward.

Flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson had his belt on the line at Ufc 174 Vancouver Saturday night.
How would the champion fare? How would the return of Andrei Arlovski play out, and which Rory MacDonald would show up?
The card opened with a bout between Canadian robot-dancer and fastest knockout in Ufc history holder Ryan Jimmo going up against surging Ovince St. Preux, who scored a win with a Von Flue choke in his last fight. Holder of a calf slicer submission earlier in his career, St. Pruex’s submission arsenal is impressive, though he hasn’t actually finished with many. That seems as if it’s going to change. This bout was tough to watch due to the finish – as Ovince, who has really come on of late, worked on a kimura in the second round, Jimmo called out that his arm was broken, and the fight was stopped.
The fact...

Ufc 174 poses an intriguing, yet unspectacular card on paper. That has been the common theme for pay-per-views in June in recent years. We’ve seen the Ufc focus on the Fourth of July weekend card, because it’s one of the biggest weekends of the year. If you look at Ufc 175, you can tell once again that they’ve focused on making that card special.
That leaves Ufc 174 with far less star power and less appealing match-ups to casual fans. The main card is still relatively solid, which is headlined by one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world in Demetrious Johnson. He faces Ali Bagautinov, who has looked impressive in his Ufc career so far. His wrestling and grappling excellence could prove to be Johnson’s match.
Rory MacDonald vs. Tyron Woodley remains a big matchup, despite it being removed as a number one contender’s bout.
