How does dance music sensation John Summit pregame his set at one of Las Vegas’ most popular nightclubs the Friday before the Super Bowl? Laying in bed, eating an airport sandwich.
But just because he’s horizontal doesn’t mean he’s unproductive. In fact, he’s spending his time cooking up something new that could be house music’s next smash hit — or at least a highlight of what his fans hear that night. “I try to make a new song for every set,” Summit, 29, says. “I usually make...

Kaskade is ready to enter his Taylor Swift era.
The eight-time Grammy-nominated DJ-producer has remixed songs by Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and halftime show superstar Usher. He hasn’t worked his magic on a Swift track, but he’s ready for it.
Looking into the camera, he says: “Taylor, what’s up? Taylor, you don’t want that Kaskade treatment?”
“I got to call my girls over,” he added when asked which Swift song he’d like to remix. “I got three kids, all girls. Taylor Swift all day at my house.”
Swift, who is dating Travis Kelce, was seen at the game with Blake Lively and Ice Spice. Kaskade, who has collaborated with Meghan Trainor, Skrillex and deadmau5, quickly filled in for Tiesto as the Super Bowl’s first in-game DJ on Sunday. He said he was “pretty stunned” when he got the call to perform.

Update, Friday: Kaskade, one of the most widely recognized and successful DJs around the globe, will step in for DJ Tiësto this Sunday as the Super Bowl’s first in-game DJ.
“As a kid who grew up in Chicago watching the Super Bowl every year with my family this chance to actually be part of it is absolutely mind blowing,” Kaskade, along with the NFL, posted on social media last night. “Las Vegas has been my second home for the past decade, as an architect of creating a landscape that includes House and Dance Music residencies as part of its destination. Fourteen years after Kaskade and Deadmau5 collaborated for the first time, the two Edm stars are uniting under the name Kx5. On Friday, the duo dropped their dance-ready, progressive first single, “Escape” featuring Hayla.
The track taps into the nostalgia of the early 2000s with a “throwback to that kind of minimalistic approach to that melodic sing-songy house,” Deadmau5 told Dancing Astronaut.
The collaborative project has been years in the making — and for the duo, it just made sense. “I mean after Covid, I’m just like, I want do stuff that I want do.
