We spent the weekend enjoying the hell out of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," the new Netflix series from "30 Rock" royalty Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. Starring "Office" and "Bridesmaids" vet Ellie Kemper, it chronicles the life of a woman who escapes from an apocalyptic cult and builds a new life in New York City. It is a scream. Here are seven major things to appreciate about it. 1. Veteran TV actresses get tons to do. "30 Rock" provided a wonderful showcase for veteran comic actors, and we can thank the Fey/Carlock mothership for giving Elaine Stritch, Jan Hooks, Anita Gillette, Tim Conway, Alan Alda, and many, many more such fun and weird roles. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" is off to a great start in this area: Regular cast members Carol Kane and Jane Krakowski rack up some of the biggest laughs every episode as they notch another hit in their incredible TV careers,...

Remember Antoine Dodson? He was the guy who, after an impromptu appearance on a local news show, became an instant (internet) celebrity and for five hot minutes burned brightly around the world before fading away. Such is fame these days, and it's in that environment that "Arrested Development" star David Cross has delivered his feature length directorial debut, "Hits." Originally premiering at the Sundance Film Festival last year, Matt Walsh leads the movie as regular guy living in a small town in upstate New York who finds his rant at City Hall has suddenly gone viral, and soon, everyone wants a piece. As far as targets for comedy go, the current bar of fame is pretty low hanging fruit, though the film's ensemble of players, which includes Michael Cera, Amy Sedaris, Wyatt Cenac and David Koechner, is enough to capture our interest. No release date yet, but it looks like...

New York — Helping to free three women from nearly a decade in captivity would seem to be enough. Hero neighbor Charles Ramsey has also become a star, offering moments of levity in an unspeakably horrible story, free publicity for a restaurant chain and unexpected lessons in race relations.

Google is really going above and beyond at April Fool's Day this year. The company surprised consumers with its YouTube shutdown prank on March 31, starting the holiday of tricks off early.

Woody Thompson knows internet-connected Americans love memes. He also knows Americans in general love watching short-form entertainment properties they’ve already seen superimposed with “info nuggets” containing obscure facts, clever copy, cute graphics, and surprising anecdotes about said entertainment property and the people who created it. So, Thompson’s decided to combine the two. PopSpot Video is VH1’s Pop Up Video rebooted for the YouTube generation. The program features old viral videos we’ve all seen before made new again by way of giving us something we haven’t seen, tens of quirky-fact-filled bubbles popping up on screen by way of simple animation and a super cute sound effect. As Time observes, Morgan originally debuted the song on his YouTube channel in 2010. The artist then reached out to viewers to cover his song.
Since Dodson first graced the screens of millions of YouTube viewers, the aspiring artist has been arrested on drug charges and jailed for allegedly failing to appear at a set court date.
In addition, Dodson has appeared on several television shows to talk about his new-found fame,...

The first 10 years of the new millennium brought us Christian the Lion, Antoine Dodson, and some formerly floppy-haired Canadian kid you may have heard of named Justin Bieber, so how has the first year of this decade shaped up, virally speaking? Well, let’s see… hydrangeas were pronounced hateful (or, to be more accurate, loathsome), Beauty and the Beast got the West Hollywood treatment, a respected newsman collapsed into giggles over a Frenchman’s urine, a teen shot to stardom by serenading a day of the week, and… well, we could go on and on. Instead, we’ve posted all...

You think I’m joking, but I literally just came from stalking Lindsay Lohan, because if anything interesting was going to happen today, it was going to be with New Courtney Love. But do you wanna know what she did? She woke up. She woke up and watched Spongebob Squarepants, laughed at Patrick’s dumb pink ass for a good 45 minutes. Then she wrote another letter to her daddy full of whining and coke and dropped it off at Usps. She went to 7-Eleven and picked up a tin of Altoids, a Diet Coke, a bag of Cheetos, and three packs of Starburst. And then she went back to her house, chopped up the Altoids, and snorted them. Now I don’t know why the hell she did that but I’m a writer, not a therapist. So I just came back here and wrote this article.

Nick Cannon's "Famous" music video has just arrived in full. It sees the husband of Mariah Carey channeling Michael Jackson, Mc Hammer, Kiss' star Gene Simmons, "Bed Intruder" YouTube sensation Antoine Dodson, Ted "Golden Voice" Williams, and screaming pastor Kerney Thomas.
"I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan, so to be in that 'Rock With You' costume and have it look exactly like the video was crazy," the host of "America's Got Talent" told Rap-Up. "When it comes on, you can dance like you famous, drink like you famous, party like you famous."
"Famous" features Akon who also makes a cameo appearance in the music video. The song is expected to make the cut to Nick's new studio album "Mr. Showbiz" which might be released later this year. It also serves as the theme song for his first-ever stand-up comedy special, which premiered on Showtime earlier this month.
