Ryan Sharp was born in Kirksville, Missouri in the late 1970s. From an early age, Sharp often fell asleep to Cardinal Baseball games broadcast by the Hall of Fame Broadcaster, Jack Buck. At 6 years old, Sharp began recording himself announcing games as he would watch the television with the volume turned down. Family and friends were amazed. Later he discovered stand up comedy, namely from Louie Anderson and Steve Martin. He began writing his own comedy material at a very early age and performed it at the school talent shows. The response was amazing, and as a bullied child, Sharp realized he had a talent for comedy.
He then began writing comedy sketches and produced a series of 10 comedy shows (Saturday Night Crackups) which rival Saturday Night Live. He graduated with honors and a degree in film production and communications in 1999 from MSU, where he also worked as a set designer for the theater department and a lab assistant for the media department. He worked on a variety of films as location scout, boom operator, gaffer, producer, writer, actor, and director.
After college, Sharp continued to work on film crews but also took an interest in political issues and became a grass-roots activist, teaching and fighting for America's founding principles and sharing history and truth with anyone he can. He has written speeches and delivered them to various committees and government groups, as well as, public meetings. He has assisted with the campaigns of a variety of political candidates on every level. He is committed to sharing the truth about America's heritage and reminding Americans of their rights under the Constitution.
More recently Sharp wrote, directed, produced, and starred in The Disloyal, a film he conceived after a bad nightmare he really had one night. His film, The Disloyal, is a early '70s style psychological film, and debuted in 2017 to good reviews.
Sharp has also completed a 70,000 word novel and is seeking a literary agent to publish a book.
In 2017, Sharp launched Perennial Film Festival and continues to successfully manage the festival.
