Almost a decade after Lucky McKee burst upon the indie horror scene and became a ‘Master of Horror’ in the making thanks to his directorial debut May, he teamed up with legendary cult author Jack Ketchum for his most shocking and brutal film to date: The Woman, which was itself a sequel to a previous Ketchum film adaptation titled Offspring.

Both films get the 4K Uhd treatment in a brand new double feature release from Arrow Video on August 26, allowing you to experience Ketchum’s uncompromisingly twisted vision of the dark side of the American family in a definitive edition that includes a 4K remaster of The Woman plus a bonus disc featuring a restoration of its 2009 predecessor.

Exclusive: Sophia Bush (Good Sam) and Jeremie Harris (Fargo) will star alongside Simona Brown in MPI Original Films’ drama Freedom Hair from Oscar nominee Dianne Houston, which is currently in production in Atlanta.

The film written and directed by Houston and produced by MPI is based on the true story of Melony Armstrong (Brown), a determined mother who sets out to start a natural hair braiding business to achieve financial independence, but must overcome unexpected obstacles imposed by a powerful cosmetology cartel and the state of Mississippi. Melony’s efforts led to thousands of African American women in Mississippi following in her footsteps and realizing their own entrepreneurial dreams.

Bush will play the lawyer Dana, who helps Melony in her fight, with Harris as Melony’s loving husband, Kevin. Stacey Parks, Lana Link, and Rob Pfaltzgraff are producing, with Armstrong, Kim Coleman and Nick Reid exec producing. Bush is represented by CAA,...

Following the release of Tenet more movies are vacating 2020. The box office has not truly sprung to life. This year is mostly a wash for theaters. It is hard to say what lies ahead in 2021 but, for now, we have plenty of new movies coming to streaming for people to enjoy this weekend.

In July, the folk-leaning sextet Delta Rae announced their departure from Big Machine Label Group, an event that happened to coincide with the label’s sale to Scooter Braun and Taylor Swift’s subsequent criticism of the deal. As a side effect, Delta Rae’s Kickstarter was quickly funded beyond their wildest dreams by longtime fans and new supporters alike — resources they used to record their upcoming independent album, The Light.

Saban Films has released the first trailer for an upcoming action thriller called Rogue Warfare. The film comes with the tagline, “when global threats rise up, one team answer the call” and that team is not the Avengers.

The movie follows “a group of skilled military elite from the U.S., Russia, UK, China and France join forces to fight an elite underground terrorist network.” It looks like a solid film worth checking out, but I enjoy movies like this.

Rogue Warfare comes from made stuntman/filmmaker Mike Gunther and this is supposed to be the first in a trilogy of films. The movie stars Will Yun Lee, Jermaine Love, Rory Markham, Bertrand-Xavier Corbi, Katie Keene, Fernando Chien, Gina Decesare, Michael Blalock, Mike McKee, Essam Ferris, with Chris Mulkey and Stephen Lang.

Rogue Warfare will be released on October 4th.

The synopsis is rather vague - it only states that Rogue Warfare is about a group of skilled military elite who join forces to fight an underground terrorist network. This stars Will Yun Lee, Jermaine Love, Rory Markham, Bertrand-Xavier Corbi, Katie Keene, Fernando Chien, Gina Decesare, Michael Blalock, Mike McKee, Essam Ferris, with Chris Mulkey and Stephen Lang. This really looks like one big action extravaganza with literally no plot, since these kind of jingoistic movies only really need guns and explosions, and no plot. Delta Rae had some big news they were keeping under wraps until the timing was right. Signed to Big Machine since 2015, they had been released from their record deal after months of negotiating, an announcement they planned to make at the start of July.

“We had a whole timeline of a year planned out in our minds,” says Brittany Hölljes, one of Delta Rae’s four lead singers along with her brothers Ian and Eric and childhood friend Elizabeth Hopkins. “We were holding on to the information until July 1st.
