Survivor is not an easy game. Producers dump castaways on a deserted beach with minimal resources and force them to compete in brutal physical challenges. They are starving, suffering from bug bites and other ailments, and are subject to harsh weather conditions. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that numerous players have quit over the show’s 44 seasons. But do the Survivor contestants still get paid if they forfeit their spot in the game?

Every Survivor fan knows that the Sole Survivor gets paid $1 million (before taxes) for winning their season. But what the CBS reality competition series doesn’t disclose on air is that producers pay the other contestants just for being on the show.
CinemaBlend reports that the first boot receives $3,500, and the total rises as the placement increases.

Is Julie's quit even worse than Na Onka's?
In Survivor: Nicaragua, Na Onka Mixon set a new benchmark for bad Survivor behavior. She stole food, talked trash and quit the game with a clear path to the finals.
But at least in Nicaragua, the weather was terrible. Most quitters leave the game after being buffeted by the elements.

"Survivor" isn't a show for quitters and yet many players have quit on "Survivor" over 28 seasons. Players have quit with broken bones, nasty infections, heart problems, stomach problems and whatever those two things were that caused Colton to quit. Jenna quit to be near her ailing mother. Susan quit because Richard Hatch rubbed against her. Various levels of in-game misery caused Janu, Kathy, NaOnka and Purple Kelly to quit. On Wednesday (March 26) night's "Survivor: Cagayan," Lindsey Ogle quit because of her concerns that if she continued to spend time with gloating Bostonian Trish, something bad might happen. Jeff Probst hailed this as a strange sort of "Survivor" first. As a result, the Solana tribe lost Cliff and Lindsey, which Trish and Tony hailed as a huge triumph, even if they were now way down in numbers. Solana subsequently won two straight challenges, which as either a fluke or addition by subtraction.

Someone save Jeff Probst! That was my thinking after watching the first few minutes of the Survivor: Carmaoan — Fans vs. Favorites premiere (which airs tonight at 8pm on CBS). I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him deliver his big “1 Survivor” line and wondered, “How did they do that? And how is he still alive?” But I did this time. And you can see what I’m talking about as we exclusively present the first five minutes of the premiere right her and right now for your perusal. In it, you will get to see how both the Fans and Favorites arrive,...

Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites premieres tonight with a special 90-minute episode on CBS. It’s a season that Probst is already predicting will go down as one of the show’s best ever. With season 26 now set for lift-off (and you can watch the first five minutes of the premiere right here), we invited Probst to stop by EW studio — basically, an empty office next to mine — and take stock of the Survivor franchise. And stop by he did. On the newest InsideTV Podcast, Probst explains why returning players are here to stay, why he does not let...

'Survivor: Caramoan': Returning Favorite Erik on why this season is 'like the Island of Misfit Toys'
For years, the undisputed titleholder when it came to Dumbest Survivor Move Ever was none other than Erik Reichenbach. It was a well-earned (dis)honor bestowed upon the ice cream scooper from Hell (Michigan) after he gave away his immunity necklace on Survivor: Micronesia…only to be voted out moments later. But Erik was a trendsetter as well! Since then, Jt gave his hidden immunity idol to Russell in Heroes vs. Villains, and Brandon Hantz handed his immunity over to Albert in Survivor: South Pacific. In both instances it was not better to give than to receive, as those...

There has been a lot of talk about how many of the returning players brought back for Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites (premiering Feb. 13 on CBS) were not actually very good players their first time around. One contestant who did have some serious game in her first outing, however, is Brenda Lowe. Brenda worked herself into a position of power in Survivor: Nicaragua, but then made two fatal errors: She got too comfortable in her perch, and then did not scramble hard enough to stay once it became evident that the votes may have shifted against her. Now, Brenda...

Jeff Probst has defended the Favorites coming back to play Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites (premiering Feb. 13 on CBS) as good players. He has explained when they first decided to bring Malcolm back, and opined that Brandon Hantz was indeed psychologically stable enough to return. He even told us which returning players would not come back to play again for this season. But we have not heard his take on some of the newbies who will be making up the tribe of Fans. Until now. I remember being out on location for Survivor: South Pacific and standing on the Savaii beach on day two. One person in particular was in trouble, and that person was Dawn Meehan. A longtime super-fan of the show who had first applied back for season 2, her dream had finally come true and she had made it onto the show. But now, just 24 hours after her adventure had started, that dream was turning into a nightmare. Sitting in a tribe full of younger, less clothed flirts and frolickers, Dawn wasn’t fitting in. And it was killing her. Imagine waiting 10 years for your moment to come,...

It’s hard to interview someone returning to play Survivor when you haven’t even seen how or what they did the first time around. That was the situation when I spoke with Malcolm Freberg in May 2012 as he was getting ready to depart for Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites (premiering Feb. 13 on CBS). It was only two weeks after he had finished filming Survivor: Philippines (which would not air for another four months). Luckily, I did have a few things to go on. If you blinked, you might have missed her. Francesca Hogi was the first person voted out of Survivor: Redemption Island, and the first person ousted from the game after she lost a duel. But even though she only lasted three days on her tribe, what an impression she made — going right after Boston Rob and then sparring with Phillip Sheppard about (among other things) the pronunciation of her name. I loved Francesca in our Redemption Island pre-game interview and was thoroughly bummed when she was booted so early. So I was pleasantly surprised when I learned she was being brought...

Survivor is a festival of hotness and exhaustion, much like many of my favorite Herb Ritts music videos. That means it's also inherently gay, and that means we have a job to do before the premiere of Survivor: Philippines this Wednesday: rank the nine finest hotties in the show's history. I tried to assemble a varied platter here of winners and also-rans, so forgive me if I slighted your fave. I'm sure it wasn't personal.
9. Yul Kwon from Cook Islands
Oh yes. Love this man, love that he won during a particularly racially charged season of Survivor, and I especially love his honest smile and threatening bod. He's so charismatic, he was given a PBS show called America Revealed. If this means a spinoff called Yul Kwon Revealed is forthcoming, I'm in full support.
8. Jud/"Fabio" from Nicaragua
A word about Nicaragua: I went off the rails and started rooting for NaOnka that season.

Anyone who watches reality TV knows that the inevitable all-star season of every show is always better than your average run-of-the-mill non-all-star season. (Hence the exciting name.) But at what price? Sure, everyone loves to watch their favorites come back for a second chance to win it all and finally earn the title of TV's best model/chef/designer/apprentice to Donald Trump/survivor/astronaut/canine manicurist, but the downside of every all-star season is that it's a whole season in which no new all-stars are being created. It's like if the Jolly Rancher factory decided, "Hey, for the next month, how about we produce packages with only people's favorite flavors in them?" That would be phenomenal! Except at the end of the month, all you'd have left would be grape flavored Jolly Ranchers. These days, interesting reality TV personalities are a cash crop, and we need to harvest some fun new future all-stars Asap,...

What in the name of Russell Hantz happened this week? Russell's nephew, Brandon, went off the deep end. First, awkwardly revealing to Coach that he's Russell's nephew and then his even more awkwardly coming clean moment at tribal council. Russell certainly was not proud, but our Round Table writers are happy to sift through the wreckage.
As always we'd love to hear our readers take on the following topics...
Can anything good come out of Brandon revealing his secret to Coach?
Kyle Kalember: I really thought so initially because Coach is all about that kind of stuff. However, the way Brandon has haphazardly played the strategy aspect of the game so far has been a little crazy. On Wednesday night, September 14 at 8:00pm Et/Pt, Survivor will debut its 23rd season, Survivor: South Pacific. The season premiere will be an extended 90 minutes, and will lead into the season finale of Big Brother. Following the general success of Survivor: Redemption Island, the good folks on the granddaddy of all reality competition shows are bringing back that season's major twist: Redemption Island. Like last season, players that are voted out of the game will not return home, but head to Redemption Island where he or she will Duel another ousted castaway to eventually return to the game. One big change, however, is that unlike the end of last season when three or even four ousted players met on Redemption Island, with only one person going home per Duel, only two players will ever meet in a Duel. This avoids the situation where "just not being worst" kept someone in the game.

It only took two episodes for our returning stars to really get the wheels moving for this game. Our Round Table writers are excited to talk about Rob's big move and Russell's extensive arrogance.
As always, we encourage answers from our readers.
Should Phillip or Kristina have been voted out instead of Matt?
Kyle Kalember: Since it was impossible for Kristina to get voted out with her idol I'll have to say Phillip. Now Kristina would have been my preference due to her idiotic sorta-play of the idol to get rid of Rob, but Phillip is crazy. At least he isn't "I want to turn off the TV because you make me ill" crazy. Rob's one-liner was enough to make the Phillip experience worth it to me. If he gives Rob more ammunition for great comedy then you can sign me up.
Dan Forcella: Did Boston Rob making the right move?...

Here is Sean Furfaro's recap of Survivor Redemption Island - Episode 2.
Last week’s season premiere of Survivor Redemption Island was one of the more memorable premieres we’ve ever seen, with arguably the best first Tribal Council ever. Last season, as we were all getting our cumulative hate-on for NaOnka, I made the point that some Survivor characters are great, no matter how annoying or ridiculous they are, because they still make good TV. Coach Wade, for instance, was great TV, while NaOnka was not. Now, say what you will about Phillip, the “is-he-or-isn’t-he-a-former-special-agent-with-the-tighty-pinkies”, this guy is fantastic television.
Would this week’s follow-up episode match last week’s excitement? Who is Russell clashing with? And which Survivor matches wits with a crustacean?
My Random Thoughts:
- Tonight’s night-vision preamble started with Fran-Sasquatch making her way to Redemption Island and getting the lay of the land. First of all,...

Here is Sean Furfaro's recap of Survivor Redemption Island - Episode 1.Survivor Redemption Island premiered with a bang tonight, showing that this new cast (while not as stupid as last season's bunch of morons) still has a Lot to learn. Rob's statement in the Tribal Council voting confessional was too perfect not to be the title of this recap.
Tonight’s recap is going to be my first impressions of this season’s cast, along with a few Random Thoughts at the end. To be fair, after only one episode, it’s hard to really tell anything about this cast…perhaps the person I think is going to be the NaOnka of the season, turns out to be the Purple Kelly of the season. And what did we learn about That last season? That you can be batshit insane, or not say a word for 2 months, and when you...

On the latest "Bachelor" episode, it's the episode of Sad Stories. It's like the girls are on "Queen for a Day," where they have to relay the horrible things that have happened to them in order to win a Maytag washer and dryer Brad Womack's heart.
And (spoiler alert!) Emily is "Queen for a Day." Twice.
Ashley's Date
The first date card is for Ashley S., the 12-year-old First Impression Rose girl or Ashley With the Dead Dad. There are many things about her that annoy us, hopefully Brad figures that out and sends her packing.

After 21 seasons, the producers hope to shake up the Survivor franchise with the introduction of a new twist - second chances! - and a new rule about quitters. A Chance At Redemption On Survivor: Redemption Island, which premieres Feb. 16 on CBS, when a contestant is voted off, he or she won't leave the game completely but go instead to Redemption Island, where he or she will face off against the next person voted off in a duel. The winner lives on to face the next arrival at Redemption Island until one person left standing has a chance to return to the game.

He made it to the final five, but for many Survivor: Nicaragua fans, it was easy to forget Dan Lembo was still in the game. After sustaining a knee injury early in the season, the 63-year-old real estate executive avoided as many challenges as he could and avoided the drama that defined fellow players such as Marty Piombo and NaOnka Mixon. Even when Holly Hoffman drowned his $1,200 shoes, Dan hardly blinked. Looking back, Dan says his carefree exterior was key to his strategy. He talked with TVGuide.com about how he kept his cool with Holly, why he bragged about his fortune to his teammates and his thoughts on next season's twist...

Matthew Lenahan's nickname on Survivor: Nicaragua was "Sash," but he might as well have been called The Comeback Kid. He started out with a strong social game and an equally manipulative ally in Brenda Lowe. But after Brenda was blindsided, and after allies NaOnka Mixon and Kelly Shinn quit the game, Sash seemed destined to fail. Thanks to several key strategic moves, however, Sash made it to the final three. The only problem? The jurors favored emotional connections over smart plays and he received a stunning zero votes for the million dollars. The 30-year-old real estate broker from New York, N.Y. spoke with TVGuide.com about why he thought he could win, how Fabio Birza changed the game and his thoughts on Jane Bright's tribal council remarks...

Dan Lembo had some pretty harsh words for his fellow contestants Sunday night (Dec. 19) on the "Survivor: Nicaragua" finale. He tells Zap2it how he feels about Chase and Sash and that he is wearing Holly's cowboy boots with nothing else on. We think he's kidding.
You had some pretty harsh words for Sash and Chase during the last few days of the show -- Chase was surprised by them, but Sash was not. Was that more heat-of-the-moment or do you still feel that way about them?
"Nah, I'm not angry with them any longer. The game's over. Sash would never be a friend of mine, but Chase, as I said, dumb is forever. The guy's pretty dumb, but he's a nice a guy."
If Fabio had not made the finals, who would have gotten your vote?

Jud "Fabio" Birza is the king of Survivor: Nicaragua. We felt it was a well deserved win which represented a change in Jud's character and game play throughout the season. What do our writers think? Did the right person win? Could it have played out differently? What do we make of Redemption Island?
We're looking forward to hearing from our readers as well.
Did the right person win?
Kyle Kalember: The person I was rooting for by the end won, but that wasn't the question that was asked. I truly believe that Fabio deserved to win the game. He was just as deserving as any of the final three and I was happy with the outcome.

He had to win three straight challenges just to get to the finals, but once he did, Judson “Fabio” Birza poured on the charm to become the million dollar winner of Survivor: Nicaragua. His savvy social game combined with strength in immunity competitions propelled him over Chase and Sash, making the 21-year-old the youngest Survivor winner ever. Los Angeles — Jud "Fabio" Birza romanced the jury to win "Survivor: Nicaragua."
The goofy 21-year-old model-student from Los Angeles overcame wishy-washy 24-year-old singer-jackman Chase Rice from Fairview, N.C., and sneaky 30-year-old real estate broker Matthew "Sash" Lenahan from New York to take home the CBS reality competition's $1 million grand prize Sunday. He earned five votes from the nine-person jury of dismissed contestants.
"From how I felt down in Nicaragua, going through all the angles or whatever, I really thought I was going to win by a little more," Birza admitted during a phone interview following the finale. "It's all good, dude. I would rather it be super close. Chase felt good about it. As you could see, I was sweating. My armpits were going crazy. I was nervous."

It’s late so this will be short:
Fabio Wins
I’m delighted that Fabio won. He was the clear audience favorite. The crowd in the studio went wild when his name was announced. Kids seem to gravitate to Fabio. I think it’s his goofy honesty. He doesn’t filter much and though at times he is a bit scattered, there is an undeniable charm and it’s nice to have him on the list of Survivor winners.
Chase On Geee-tar
I was really impressed. I’d never heard Chase play before but I just had a feeling it was worth a shot.

During the first tribal council of tonight’s season finale, Dan gave his reasons for why he felt Holly was a bigger threat than him.
Whether it made sense to you, me, the jury or anyone, Jeff Probst correctly pointed out that Dan’s perception of why Holly is a threat matters more than if she really was one.
This conversation very neatly summarized the way that Jud, Holly, Dan and, even to some extent, Chase, changed throughout the course of the season. If a vote took place even halfway through the game, none of these four would have been in the top three vote getters. Ironically, the one who would have been, Sash, was blanked in the finale.
Although Chase and Sash tried to argue otherwise at the final tribal council, the way Jud played the game most definitely is a viable way to play. Going with the flow,...

Here is Sean Furfaro's recap of the Survivor Nicaragua Season Finale You know when you’re watching a really crappy movie, and you need closure? You need to see how it ends? Or maybe you’re reading an absolutely horrible book, but you still need to make it to that final page? Or maybe you’re a marathon runner who has no shot of winning, or even finishing in a decent time…but you tough it out anyways and make it to the end? That’s the way I feel about Survivor: Nicaragua (ok, maybe the marathon runner analogy was a stretch, but you get the point), it’s been a struggle, but after 4 months of snake footage and breaking tiles, at least it ends tonight.
I’m back in the Eastern Time Zone, not having to wait that extra 3 hours for my Survivor fix, so let’s get right...

Host Jeff Probst had a couple big announcements during the live "Survivor: Nicaragua" reunion on Sunday (Dec. 19).
The first was that quitters will now have some repercussions, like not being allowed on the jury. It will be up to the show to decide (Quitters are not the same as medical evacuations or extenuating circumstances, like, I would imagine, when Jenna Morasca quit because her mom with cancer had taken a turn for the worst.) Good. That was totally messed up that NaOnka and Kelly got to cast a vote after quitting.
The second announcement is a new twist in the game -- Redemption Island. When someone is voted out, they go to Redemption Island where they and the next person voted out will compete in a duel. One of them will re-enter the game -- but do they stay on Redemption Island and keep fighting, then get back in the game at some point?...

'Survivor: Nicaragua' finale: Jud 'Fabio' Birza, Chase Rice, Holly Hoffman or Sash Lenahan? Who won?
Were you surprised by the finale of the 21st season of "Survivor"? We were surprised by a few things, particularly how close the final vote was.
Immunity Challenge
After a season-recapping video montage and some boring strategy talk, the survivors head to the next Immunity Challenge. They have to answer questions about Nicaragua in order to get puzzle pieces, then assemble a puzzle for the win.
Holly, Sash and Chase are in the lead when they get to the puzzle. Dan and Fabio are in it, but far behind. Sash is good at puzzles and looks to have this in the bag, until Fabio masterfully gets his puzzle together and takes it. Wow, good for Fabio.
Pre-Tribal
Fabio is gunning for Holly and he starts working on Chase and Sash to vote her out. Chase seems to be pretty set on Dan because Dan hasn't made any enemies and will easily win jury votes.

We spent the majority of our review going over the follies of Jane and who are the favorites to walk away as the sole survivor on Sunday. But there's still plenty more to talk about from last night. Did Dan and Jud mess up by not voting with Jane? What was Probst doing interfering with the game at tribal council?
As always, we like to hear our readers opinions too.
Should Dan and Jud have tried to vote with Jane?
Kyle Kalember: As it turns out no. Jane just threw a vote to Sash and it would never have worked. I think the only play either of them had was to vote for Jane. Dan might need to scramble more than Fabio does. Fabio can actually win immunity, but Dan won't.
Dan Forcella: Yes! Not only are they too dumb to even come up with this as an idea, but...

After last night’s temper tantrum, I hope that anyone who was a Jane supporter is hiding in the shadows this morning, afraid to admit that they backed a woman who is 56 going on 5.
I haven’t been a Jane supporter since her ridiculous spat with Marty. Absurdly, she took his attempts to vote her out of the game as a personal attack. She refused to recognize his logic that she was a threat to win challenges and the game. Instead she responded in a manner only a fraction better than how NaOnka handles adversity. Unfortunately, she ultimately won out over Marty because was more of a threat to Brenda and Sash than Jane.
Since Marty’s ouster, Jane has calmed down a bit, made close friends with Chase and Holly and cried over a dead chicken. Then, Jud wins immunity and suddenly her head is on the chopping block again.

If It’S A Sprint Phone, That Must Mean The Loved Ones Are Coming!!
We’ve been through this season after season. I love the “loved ones” visit. I fight to have it in the show every season because it always pays off. Plus, Sprint loves it and Sprint is a major sponsor so if they like it, we really like it.
It’s almost always emotional and on the rare occasions that it’s uncomfortable due to an odd family dynamic, you always learn something new about the Survivors. This season was pure emotion. Let’s review, shall we?...

Here is Sean Furfaro’s recap of Survivor Nicaragua – Episode 13.That sound you heard about 4 minutes into this episode? That was me vomiting.
You knew it was coming. I've warned you for weeks. And now, with tonight's episode being the last one before the Season Finale on Sunday, it's time for the dreaded "Loved Ones" episode. Just look at the picture above, as the Survivors check out the handy new Sony Evo.
What the hell is happening in that picture anyways? Jane looks like she's looking at picture of a fish she can sneak away with and eat on her own, Dan is confused, and Fabio is fixing his hair. Once again, I submit to you, Survivor Nicaragua is a candidate for worst season ever.
My Random Thoughts:
- Previously on…Survivor: as Holly said, What the f*** is wrong with Chase? Jeff’s voice-over reminded us of Chase’s indecisiveness,...

With dominant, reality TV-friendly personalities NaOnka Mixon, Holly Hoffman and Jane Bright — oh, and the (faux?) cluelessness of Fabio Birza — on the screen, Ben "Benry" Henry flew under the radar for the first half of Survivor: Nicaragua. But as soon as his impressive physical skills in challenges became a threat to the equally strong Chase Rice, Benry was blindsided by Chase and his alliance faster than you can say "hidden immunity idol." The 24-year-old club promoter talked with TVGuide.com about how his competitive nature did him in, why he thought he had Chase in his "back pocket" — and last week's quitters...

In the first real blindside of the season, Ben "Benry" Henry was voted off "Survivor: Nicaragua." In his exit interview, Benry talks to Zap2it about his completely shock at Tribal Council and what he thinks about the quitters.
Are you glad you went on "Survivor"? Was it everything you hoped it would be?
"I am so happy I went on 'Survivor.' I would do it again in two seconds. It was above and beyond anything I expected or imagined. It was a priceless experience that was pretty surreal."
Did you have any inkling you were the one headed home at the last Tribal Council?
"No, I was completely blindsided. I had no idea I was going home when I walked into Tribal that night. It was a shocker for sure, I think you could see from my facial expressions. I just didn't think I was going home."
Once Kelly and NaOnka quit,...

If you missed the absolutely crazy, history-making last episode of Survivor: Nicaragua, catch up with my recap here.
This week's episode begins with Jeff summing up how Sash's position in the game has changed so dramatically with Kelly and NaOnka quitting last week. Libertad returns to camp on the night of Day 28. Holly thinks the double-quitting is "Unbelieveable." There are only eleven days left, and they quit. Benry notices that they haven't named the remaining chicken yet, and suggests that they name it "Kelly-Nay" because Kelly and NaOnka are chicken. Sash confesses that he was the only one who didn't benefit from the girls quitting. He's stuck in the middle between two alliances: Chase, Jane and Holly vs. Fabio, Benry and Dan. He still has the Hidden Immunity Idol, so the odds remain in his favor, but the game has become a whole lot more difficult.

Run Sash Run!
Like a small town thief running from the local sheriff, this episode started with Sash on the run. Until last week, he had a great game going, but losing Brenda, Purple Kelly and Naonka put him in a deep, deep, deep hole.
I would have never believed that Sash would be able to get himself out of this mess and get back in the game, but he did. I continue to have to eat the words that I said to Sash at the beginning of the game, “Sash, you’ll be the first person voted out.”

Here is Sean Furfaro's recap of Survivor Nicaragua - Episode 12.Sorry for the delay in getting tonight’s post up, especially for those of you who are used to it being up at 9:30 Et. I’m still on the West Coast, so didn’t even get to watch the episode until it aired here. That will happen again next week…but better late than never, right?
My Random Thoughts:
- Previously on Survivor…Two People Quit! I still can’t believe it. But Probst’s voice-over reminded viewers of something that they may have forgotten: Sash got screwed. Leader of an alliance of four and holding an Immunity Idol, but a Brenda Blindside and the NaOnka-Kelly Quit-a-Palooza later, he’s now flying solo, a self-proclaimed “Free Agent.”
- Benry talked about mentioning at Tribal Council how they named the chicken after the quitters. Smart guy, huh? The quitters who get a vote,...

The big question after tonight’s episode of Survivor “I’m Not Sure Where I Stand” is whether Sash choose the correct alliance or not. His options were Chanely (Chase, Jane and Holly) or Dudry (Dan, Jud and Benry).
Although Sash openly shopped his vote seemingly looking for the best bidder, Sash appeared to make up his mind fairly quickly and even stayed with Chanely after Chase burned him by not selecting him to go on the reward challenge. Sash’s mind likely told him that shopping was his best bet, but his heart told him he couldn’t trust Dudry.
Is that true? Did Sash make the right choice? Let’s break down the pros and cons of both alliances.
Chanely (Chase, Jane and Holly)
Pros:
Chase is only real threat to win individual immunity prior to the final immunity. The trio appears much more trustworthy than Dan, Jud and Benry.

Last week, it was 2 a.m. in London and I was recapping "Survivor" and then everybody in the game quit. It was weird. Will we actually have a Tribal Council vote on Wednesday (Dec. 8) night? And what impact will the departure of Purple Kelly and NaOnka have on the "Survivor: Nicaragua" season? My hunch? None. Let's find out... i Pre-credit sequence. What a strange intro. Why did it all have to be about Sash? Perhaps we're about to find out. The "Survivor" editors are subtle like that. The remaining seven castaways return to camp on Night 28. Reborn...

In the wake of the quitters, the final seven on "Survivor: Nicaragua" are divided and Sash has to figure out which way to go.
Libertad
Following Kelly and NaOnka quitting, the tribe names one of their chickens "Kelly Nay" because they were both chicken. Hee. The next morning, Sash puts the Hidden Immunity Idol up for grabs between Benry, Chase and Fabio, basically telling them to make their cases and he'll figure out who to give it to. Chase takes him aside and says that they should align with Jane and Holly.
Reward Challenge
The challenge is an obstacle course made up of bits and pieces of past challenges. Mud pit, hay pile, ball into barrel. First four to get their ball in move on. Then a key-stick, chest, sandbags on a barrel. First two move on. Final round is paddle to dig up rope rings and land the rings on a target to win.

Last week on Survivor: Nicaragua, NaOnka and Purple Kelly pulled a Reverse Jack Twist (because they did know how to quit you, Jeff Probst). This left seven castaways with a very even split.
On the one side you have Chase, Holly and Jane, aka Country-Fried Goodness. If they were a restaurant they'd be a Cracker Barrel, full of down-home delights smothered in white gravy.

8/7c CBS
Only seven castaways remain after last week's shocking tribal council where NaOnka and Purple Kelly quit the game, due to fatigue. Their voluntary exits put Sash in trouble, since he was in an alliance with both of them. Arguably, it's a plus for everyone else, except maybe for Dan, whose only chance of winning, presumably, was to go up against them in the finals. Tonight, it's a whole new game with sights set on new targets. It promises to be the beginning of a wild finish to the season. — Tim Holland

If you had told me two weeks ago that I'd be interviewing "Survivor: Nicaragua" castaway NaOnka Mixon and that she would have done something so wacky that I wouldn't even have time to discuss debacles like stealing food, wrestling with the one-legged girl for an Immunity Idol clue and betraying her best friend... I guess I probably would have believed it. Reality TV seasons need drama and NaOnka was certainly drama. On last Wednesday's episode, NaOnka found a way to top herself, electing to quit the game along with Kelly Shinn. In one unprecedented move, as members of the Jury...

Last week ended with big news in the reality TV world: 'Big Brother's' Brendon admitted to cheating on Rachel after his Skype affair with a woman was exposed on Twitter; that exposure included a naked picture of him.
Meanwhile, Twitter is a little quieter now that several reality stars, including Ryan Seacrest, are still offline because their fans haven't donated enough money to bring them back.
But mostly, this week was marked with lots of quitting, starting with 'The Amazing Race,' where there was no consequence for quitting a task. On 'Survivor,' after NaOnka Mixon and Kelly Shinn got an episode celebrating their quitting, they were rewarded and showed different sides of themselves.
Finally, we learned that 'American Idol' will let its viewers vote online for finalists next year, but getting fan support doesn't translate into record sales.
