There’s still a few months until Season 3 of The Bear debuts, but Disney is holding audiences over with a clip from the upcoming installment.
The clip, revealed during Disney’s shareholder meeting on Wednesday, features Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) getting a surprise from two of his employees, Neil and Ted Fak (Matty Matheson and Ricky Staffieri).
After a bit of shouting, the pair finally get Carmy into the restaurant’s back office to see they’ve posted photos of every major food critic on the wall. Likely so that all the employees will know as soon as one of them steps foot inside the establishment.
Watch the clip below.

“The Bear” will return for its third season on FX on Hulu this June.
FX chairman John Landgraf announced the news during the network’s Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation on Friday, February 9, adding that like the prior seasons, all episodes will be available at once rather than be released week-to-week.
But if you want any more details than that, Landgraf didn’t have them. Asked if there will be more guest stars like in the “Fishes” episode that featured Jamie Lee Curtis, Bob Odenkirk, John Mulaney, Gillian Jacobs, Sarah Paulson, and Jon Bernthal, Landgraf said he’ll be waiting to see what creator Christopher Storer comes up with just like everyone else.
“Unfortunately, I can’t. I was surprised as you were when the Christmas episode came through the door,” he said (via Variety).
“The Bear” has dominated the awards season and been one of FX’s biggest recent hits.

Jeremy Allen White has been receiving accolades for his work on the FX show The Bear, and this winter, he’ll be stretching his acting muscles (and actual muscles) as one of the Von Erich brothers in The Iron Claw. It was reported that the network had renewed the show for another season. Early next year, White will be firing up the grills yet again, as Deadline reports that’s when FX has booked reservations for The Bear‘s season 3 to begin production. The show aims to start shooting around February or March of 2024.
White is set to return as Carmy. However, when last we left the chef, he had found himself locked in a walk-in fridge in the middle of a ‘Friends and Family’ night that was taking place at the restaurant. Allen tells Deadline he “hopes” to escape the predicament in season 3 with a bevy of new guest stars.

Exclusive: Deadline has learned that Season 3 of FX/Hulu’s The Bear will commence production in late February-early March.
We caught up with current Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner Jeremy Allen White aka young chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto on The Bear. White stars in the new A24 movie The Iron Claw as wrestler Kerry Von Erich aka “The Texas Tornado.” The movie about the tragedy-stricken wrestling Von Erich family opens on December 22. At a time when the middle of the country needs more movies, here’s a sports drama that plays straight to the heartland.

Christopher Storer’s saga of a restaurant family wears its love for Chicago on its au-jus-stained sleeves. The Bear’s second season takes every conceivable opportunity to bridge scenes with montages of the Windy City’s architectural glory and charmingly aged infrastructure. It also drops in quotes from The Blues Brothers and, in its deftest homage to America’s third-largest metropolis, a decent portion of its score from Michael Mann’s Thief.
There’s more than a tinge of underdog defiance to The Bear’s Chicago pride—implicitly directed, as such pride so often is, eastward. “This is way better than New York,” a fine-dining customer is pointedly overheard saying in the season’s seventh episode, “Forks.” The show’s overarching story, after all, concerns a high-end chef, Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), who’s relocated from the Big Apple to his native Chicago. At times, the propagandizing threatens to be a bit much,...

Compliments to the chef!
Hulu has revealed premiere viewership details for The Bear Season 2, and the series has cooked up some solid numbers for the streaming service.
FX revealed Tuesday that the Jeremy Allen White drama surged 70% in total hours streamed over the first season after the first four days of viewing.
Additionally, the Season 2 bow was the most-watched premiere of any FX series on Hulu.
Unfortunately, FX and Hulu don't typically reveal raw viewership statistics, but the way the numbers are spinned certainly sounds impressive.
There were many concerns that the show would be wasted by premiering all episodes at once, but it seems the show is off to a great start.
Far too often, binge-release shows dominate the competition for about a week, but there's a good chance The Bear will showcase some staying power.

“The Bear” Season 2 has become FX’s biggest premiere on Hulu ever, according to the Disney-owned brands. After debuting all 10 episodes June 22 on the streaming platform, FX reported a 70% increase in total hours streamed compared to Season 1 over a four-day period.
Hulu and FX did not provide specific viewership data to back the claim, a common practice for shows on streaming services.
The first season of the buzzy Chicago-set dramedy, which premiered June 22, 2022, consisted of eight episodes while Season 2 has 10. Both installments made all the episodes available to stream at once.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “The Bear” Season 2, including the ending.]
Richie’s arc in “The Bear” Season 2 is at once the most practical and the most endearing. Prompted by last season’s near-manslaughter scare and buoyed by Olivia Colman’s Episode 7 assurance that it’s “never too late to start over,” Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s character, who was once an obstinate obstacle to change, transforms into a definitive new man. Richie’s reading leads him to realize he doesn’t have a particular set of skills, or otherwise irreplaceable function at work, and if he’s going to provide for his daughter, then he needs a reliable source of income, preferably one that will bring a little happiness, too — whether The Bear succeeds or not.
With a little nudge from Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and a lot of patience from the good folks at Ever, he recognizes that source. He steps up. He finds his purpose.

There’s a convenient little portrait of exactly how “The Bear” has progressed, and what it’s pulled off, in the first shot of the Season 2 finale. The episode opens with a virtuosic, 12-minute long take that is, intentionally, a rejoinder to the 18-minute single take from the first season’s penultimate episode. Whereas the Season 1 shot maneuvered through the crumbling hellscape that is the sandwich shop known as The Beef, this one weaves through the carefully controlled chaos and polished corners of the newly opened, high-end establishment The Bear.
That juxtaposition is the easy answer to what the sophomore season of “The Bear” is about, as Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edibiri), and the ragtag Beef crew pick up right from where we left off and get to building an ambitious new restaurant.
But in a season that is in many ways a complete, daring reinvention of “The Bear” — remarkably,...

It may not have been immediately apparent in the raw and gritty early episodes, but FX/Hulu’s The Bear has always had a certain sweetness at its core. The first season had screaming matches, fistfights, even an accidental stabbing. It also saw Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) learning to break toxic cycles, and coming around with the staff to a mutual understanding and admiration.
So as season two begins, the whole team is united in the ambitious project of retooling the grimy hole-in-the-wall that was The Beef into a sleek fine-dining establishment to be called The Bear. Just as not every dish survives a menu retooling, some elements get lost as the dramedy transitions from a series about working in a kitchen to one about launching a restaurant; the boiling tension of season one is now more of a rapid simmer. But the series doubles down...

“You can spend all the time in the world in here,” a chef tells his eager protegé as they work in a temple of haute cuisine. “But if you don’t spend enough time out there…” There’s no need for him to finish the sentence. The mentor’s meaning is clear enough: To achieve greatness, you need to expand your horizons.
This piece of advice comes close to the halfway point of the second season of “The Bear,” long after the FX half-hour has applied the insight to itself. Last year, the tale of a family-owned Chicago sandwich shop taken over by a prodigal son became a surprise summer hit by staying tightly focused on its central location. Each of its eight episodes unfolded like a stage play, as the staff of the Original Beef of Chicagoland careened through the cramped kitchen, confronting their latest crisis. This M.O.

The first season of “The Bear” opens with an invitation to chaos, before tossing you into the anarchic party itself. Carm (Jeremy Allen White) is asleep, dreaming that he’s on a bridge in the Chicago loop, where he opens a bear cage to release, what else, a live, snarling, somewhat perturbed brown bear. When he wakes up, it’s time to cook. The restaurant he inherited from his late brother Michael (Jon Bernthal) beckons, and Carm has to serve up the signature beef while putting out figurative and literal fires left and right. It’s chaos compounded with chaos, or to use a cooking metaphor: He’s out of the frying pan and into the fire.
“The Bear” Season 2 opens in silence. Well, near silence. Rather than the clicking of a gas stove flickering to life, there’s the methodical beep of a heart monitor. Marcus (Lionel Boyce) is looking over his mother,...

UK viewers had to wait an annoyingly long time for chef comedy drama The Bear to arrive on our shores. We won't have to wait quite as long for Season 2, as it's scheduled to land on 19 July, roughly a month after the Stateside premiere of 22 June. And following the discovery of a motherlode of cash stored by his late brother, harried chef Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto, played by Jeremy Allen White, will be re-opening the cafe his sibling launched. Check out the trailer for the new season…
"Carmy, Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) work to transform their grimy sandwich joint into a next-level spot. As they strip the restaurant down to its bones, the crew undertakes transformational journeys of their own, each forced to confront the past and reckon with who they want to be in the future.

The trailer for season two of The Bear looks like it will trade the white-knuckle intensity of running a restaurant kitchen for … the white-knuckle intensity of trying to open a restaurant on a limited timetable.
The FX-produced Hulu series, whose second season premieres June 22, will pick up where the first one ended, following Carmy’s (Jeremy Allen White) decision to close his family’s Italian beef joint in Chicago and open a new restaurant. He, Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) set a six-month timetable to open the doors of the new establishment, which means everything from menu planning to dealing with city permitting bureaucracy.

Of course, it turns out the only thing harder than running a restaurant is opening a new one, and the team must juggle the insane bureaucracy of permits and contractors with the beauty and creative agony of menu planning.
On Monday, FX announced that all 10 episodes of the show’s second season will begin streaming on June 22.
Here’s the official logline on what to expect from the new episodes, which pick up after the events of the Season 1 finale:

Are you ready for another helping of The Bear?
FX announced Monday that the critically acclaimed, award-winning hit series is set to premiere its hotly-anticipated second season Thursday, June 22, exclusively on Hulu.
While many networks are shifting to weekly releases due to the ongoing Hollywood writers strike, The Bear will be serving up its entire second season on day one.
Pretty cool, right?
Some shows benefit from the weekly release to keep the momentum going, but it's hard to imagine people not wanting to devour every episode in one sitting.
What's more, The Bear Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes.
The series will be available on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories at a later date.

"The Bear" season 1 combined comfort with chaos, providing an entertaining yet unnervingly realistic look behind the scenes of a struggling Chicago sandwich shop. The only other thing I've seen capture the fraught energy of a busy kitchen was 2021's "Boiling Point" — a film that, much like Episode 7 of "The Bear," was shot in one long take. But we're here to talk TV — specifically "The Bear" season 2, which is set to arrive later this year.
Jeremy Allen White's Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto will return to continue his journey from fine dining chef to running his late brother's "restaurant," The Original Beef of Chicagoland. The show's first eight episodes saw Carmy turn his insubordinate staff into something resembling a functioning kitchen staff, with the first season of "The Bear" ending on a positive note as the embattled business owner discovered a stash of cash left by his brother.
This time around, we've been promised a full 10-episodes,...

The Bear is adding another top-notch star to its ranks as Bob Odenkirk reportedly joins the Season 2 cast of FX‘s Hulu hit. That’s right, the actor is heading back to Chicago where he got his early start through stand-up, but this time around, it’s a little more culinary. Opting for Italian Beef over Better Call Saul‘s Cinnabon creations, Odenkirk will serve in a guest role, according to Variety, who announced the news. (Credit: Frank Ockenfels/FX) That means fans will get to see the Saul vet alongside the talented cast of the streaming hit, including Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Matty Matheson, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Edwin Lee Gibson among others. For the viewers who didn’t tune into the summer 2022 hit, The Bear follows the story of White’s Carmy Berzatto, a highly-trained chef who returns home to Chicago after his brother unexpectedly dies.

FX’s most-watched television show has added one of TV’s biggest stars for the next season. Variety has just learned that season 2 of The Bear will be adding Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk as a guest star. The nature of his character is being kept under wraps, and the actor and his reps have not yet commented. The Bear season 2 is set to premiere in June following the show’s impressive debut which made it the channel’s biggest hit.
Odenkirk will be pulling double duty as he is also currently starring in a new show for AMC, titled Lucky Hank. In the dark comedy Lucky Hank, Odenkirk plays an English teacher at a college who is currently struggling during a mid-life crisis.
