Jackson Kroopf is an award-winning filmmaker, podcast producer and educator. His work is committed to radical approaches to collaboration and contributing to an archive of communal care. He makes both scripted and documentary films, but usually works somewhere in between.
Jackson's films have screened at BFI London, Clermont-Ferrand, Outfest, SFFILM and over 50 other festivals worldwide, in addition to being a Vimeo Staff Pick, Short of the Week, and broadcast on PBS. Most recently, his short NASIR won the Shorts Competition Grand Jury Prize at Doc NYC with distribution from The Los Angeles Times.
Jackson's work has received support from The Sundance Institute, The National Endowment for Humanities, The Mellon Foundation, Frameline, and the W.K. Rose Fellowship.
