You, Me, and Kamala Harris’ Coconut Tree
Image
America has fallen out of the coconut tree and into a pile of Kamala Harris memes.

As pressure builds for Joe Biden to pull out of the presidential race following an abysmal performance at last Thursday’s debate, the vice president has emerged as the most likely successor to the nomination if a last-minute ticket shake-up were to take place.

As voters look toward Harris as the potential break-glass-in-case-of-emergency Democratic nominee, the media is bombarding them with polling, anonymous quotes from lawmakers, spin from the White House and the president’s campaign,...

The Mandalorian Season 3 Has a Book of Boba Fett Problem
Image
This Star Wars article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian became a pop culture sensation for several reasons, but few were as potent as Grogu aka the Child aka Baby Yoda. The beautifully articulated animatronic puppet quickly grabbed the attention of the public, and more and more fans tuned in to follow the Lone Wolf and Cub style adventures of Mando and Grogu. So when the finale of The Mandalorian season 2 ended with Luke Skywalker taking Grogu away to train him in the Force, fans wondered how season 3 would bring the beloved duo back together again.

And yet, as the new trailer for the upcoming season of The Mandalorian shows, Din Djarin and Grogu are together again, flying in their ship and getting up to all kinds of galactic shenanigans as if nothing ever happened. For devoted Star Wars fans, this plot point isn’t a problem,...

At this point, most everyone knows that Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) perished in the end of Endgame while saving the universe from Thanos. The fictional incident is still not sitting well with certain Marvel fans with some money to spare, as an image posted by Lights, Camera, Pod on Twitter reveals the L.A. billboard asking for Tony Stark's return.

That Time Trump Blamed Riots on ‘Weak Leadership in Washington’ – in 2014
Donald Trump
In keeping with the Twitter truism that “there’s always a tweet” posted by Donald Trump before he took office that can be applied to his current administration, some Twitter users have been circulating an old Trump tweet where he talked about “riots and looting.”

“Our country is totally fractured and, with our weak leadership in Washington, you can expect Ferguson type riots and looting in other places,” Trump tweeted in November 2014, after demonstrations against the death of unarmed black teen Michael Brown at the hands of white officer Darren Wilson were held in major cities around the country.

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 25, 2014

On Memorial Day this year, an unarmed black man named George Floyd died as a white officer kneeled on his neck in Minneapolis.

Star Wars 8 Male-Only Screening Request Gets Blasted by Lucasfilm Exec
Male Star Wars fan takes to social media to ask Lucasfilm about the possibility of male-only screenings for the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi and gets burned in response. It's old news now, but the interweb was ablaze with angry men over the decision to have a women-only screening of Wonder Woman at the Alamo Drafthouse, which was a one night only event and takes place after the premiere of the movie. Men took to Facebook to whine and cry and ended up blowing the whole event out of proportion, because there's not way more important things to deal with in 2017. I guess it's true what they say about Texas: everything is bigger, including the whining men.

In addition to the backlash came the inevitable crap storm of men demanding their own special screenings of movies. One of those men, Jack Posobiec took to Twitter to demand equal rights for men.

Meet Cracked’s latest series: The Antiheroes
Los Angeles, CA (August 4, 2014) – Cracked, one of the United States’ longest running humor institutions has announced its new web series from Cracked Studios entitled Antiheroes. The new 5 episode web series premieres on today.

Antiheroes follows a hilarious, semi-functional group of slackers at a debt collection agency who are inadvertently blessed (cursed?) with superpowers. The Workoholics meets Heroes comedy focuses on this powered group of coworkers going out of their way to not use their powers to fight crime, because fighting crime looks “just, like, way too hard, man.”

Writer Cody Johnston says, “We saw The Avengers and wondered why no one ever tried to take a little nap or just dick around on their phone to unwind, so we made this. We’re hoping Thor is introduced to the concept of ‘vegging out’ in Avengers 2, but in the meantime we hope you enjoy our fun, action-packed series that was made...
