Ronnie graduated with a Screenwriting MFA from Screen Academy Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University in 2010. Prior to screenwriting, he was a police officer in Edinburgh, Scotland and worked predominantly within the CID, including the Serious Crime Squad and Scottish Crime Squad. He retired at the rank of Detective Chief Inspector. He has worked (uncredited at his request) as a police advisor on produced UK TV shows as well as shows in development.
