Yes, you read that right. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Anil Thadani and his company are shelling out a whopping 75 crore to buy the theatrical rights of the Nag Ashwin film in North India. This is almost 12.5% of the film’s entire budget.

Anil Thadani’s AA Films has acquired the Hindi-language distribution rights for four highly anticipated 2024 southern Indian titles.

The films are: Sukumar’s “Pushpa: The Rule – Part 2,” starring Allu Arjun; Shankar’s “Game Changer,” headlined by Ram Charan; Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 Ad” led by Prabhas; and Koratala Siva’s “Devara,” starring Ntr Jr.

It intends to relicense the rights to four TV broadcasters in the city – Tvb, ViuTV, Hoy TV and government-owned Rthk. While in most territories, broadcasters negotiate directly with the International Olympic Committee or its agents, the Hong Kong government previously intervened in bidding for rights to the Tokyo Olympics, held in 2021. It also organized large public screenings in shopping malls.

“By procuring the broadcasting rights for these two games in Hong Kong, members of the public will be able to enjoy the Paris Og and PG [Paralympic Games] on television free of charge, and to cheer for Mainland and Hong Kong athletes,” said Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kevin Yeung.

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon is celebrating her birthday on Wednesday with her husband, Anil Thadani and children Chhaya and Pooja Tandon, Rasha and Ranbir Vardhan Thadani. While talking about her birthday plans, she reveals: “I haven’t planned anything yet. But I love surprises.”

Raveena was born in Mumbai on October 26, 1972 to producer-director Ravi Tandon and Veena Tandon.

Indian filmmaker, singer and actor Farhan Akhtar is returning to direction after a decade with feature film “Jee Le Zaraa,” starring Bollywood A-listers Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.

The film is due to start shooting in Sept. 2022. “It’s a road film, a slice-of-life film, with three women on the road,” Akhtar tells Variety. The film is written by Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti and co-produced by Tiger Baby Productions.
