In an emotional video, the YouTube star, known for her character Miranda Sings, announced that she will be living her “ultimate dream” in August when she hits the Broadway stage as Dawn in the hit musical Waitress.

“This has literally been my dream since I could speak,” she says in her announcement video titled, “I’M Going To Be On Broadway!!!”

Colleen Ballinger has documented her pregnancy journey in both loving and gruesome detail over the past year, though it turns out there is a critical milestone that the 32-year-old may have omitted.

The YouTube star, best known for creating the Miranda Sings character, revealed that she secretly married fiance Erik Stocklin last year ahead of the birth of their first son, Flynn. In a recap video titled 2018 Was Hard (below), Ballinger reveals, “This year, I got pregnant and engaged and married all in the same year -- yeah, we got married. Whoops, forgot to tell you that one.”

Ballinger did not share any additional details about her union with Stocklin, who co-starred in her former Netflix series Haters Back Off.

The 32-year-old, who has documented her pregnancy journey on two additional YouTube channels, tweeted yesterday that she was in labor with a hospital selfie (above). Miranda Sings’ “Haters Back Off” sitcom on Netflix lasted only two seasons, but Colleen Ballinger’s oddly endearing, lipstick-smeared wannabe songstress is coming back to the streaming service in a new comedy special.

Netflix has been aggressively spending on stand-up comedy over the last two years, inking pacts with big-name comedians including Jerry Seinfeld, Amy Schumer, Chris Rock, Judd Apatow, Sarah Silverman, Tracy Morgan and Dave Chappelle. It’s a point not lost on Miranda Sings, who’s a megastar in her own mind.

“All the most famousest people in the world have a comedy special on Netflix,” she says in the video announcing the deal. “I’m like, ‘Hello, why don’t I have one of those?!'”

Ballinger’s special for Netflix will be shot Sept. 15 at the Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater in Washington, D.C., as part of Ballinger’s “Miranda Sings Live…No Offense” comedy/music tour.

YouTube megastar Colleen Ballinger is having a baby -- which means that her off-kilter character creation, Miranda Sings, is set to be documenting her pregnancy journey online as well.

Ballinger, 31, announced the emotional news in a YouTube video today, during which she also confirmed that she is engaged to boyfriend Erik Stocklin -- who coincidentally co-starred as her love interest in the Netflix series Haters Back Off. Ballinger was formerly married to fellow YouTube star Joshua Evans, who she divorced in 2016.

Ballinger is three-and-a-half-months pregnant, and has known since April 24. She wanted to keep the news private for as long as possible, she says, even though she has been filming her experiences behind the scenes. All of that content -- including sharing the news with her family and YouTube friends, as well as a gender reveal -- will roll out in coming weeks, though Ballinger noted that she isn't pivoting to become a 'mommy vlogger',...

Just a year or so ago, it was virtually unheard of for a Netflix original series to get cancelled. Now, although it's still nearly a given that every new series will get a second season, it's getting harder for series to hold through three or more seasons. The latest casualty is Haters Back Off, the comedy series based on a YouTube channel that failed to draw much of an audience on the streaming service. Haters was picked up for a second season last year, but Netflix will not be producing a third.

Miranda Sings is slated to take her first stab at the small screen on October 14 with Haters Back Off. Colleen Ballinger-Evans, who originated the character on YouTube, announced the release date at VidCon earlier this summer, noting that the series would describe how Miranda -- a red lipstick-loving delusional diva -- came to be, featuring appearances by her mother (played by Angela Kinsey), best friend (Erik Stocklin), and uncle (Steve Little).

Titled Haters Back Off, the eight-episode series is “all about my life and how I came to be,” raps Sings in a video announcing the premiere date -- which she also shared for the first time at VidCon. In advance of its premiere at the Austin Film Festival, Romark Entertainment, Resolute Productions and Dark Factory Entertainment have unveiled the first trailer for director Carlos Rincones’ indie movie “The Bad Guys,” which debuts exclusively on TheWrap. Though Kevin Williamson is the Scream King, the debut of his new series Stalker was more of a whimper. And I'm not just talking about the sounds coming from the victims of the show's eponymous creeps. There was something literally and viscerally bloodless about the premiere, which was touted by CBS as "the scariest drama to ever air" on TV and which I have to admit was one of my most anticipated series of the 2014–2015 season. The pilot didn't have quite the lingering chill it could or should have... nor did it have the narrative fire its multiple gasoline-drenched set pieces hoped to convey.

The new CBS drama Stalker has just added two more names to its cast, as Warren Kole (The Following, Common Law) and Erik Stocklin (Mistresses) have both landed recurring roles on the first season of Kevin Williamson’s latest project.

Stalker stars Dylan McDermott (Hostages) and Maggie Q (Nikita), both of whom play detectives in the Los Angeles Threat Assessment Unit tasked with investigating cases of stalking. Kole, who has worked with Williamson in the past, will be playing Detective Trent Wilkes, the lead detective in the Robbery Homicide Division of the Lapd who finds himself in a turf war with McDermott’s character, Jack. Stocklin, who had a small part in the pilot as Perry, an introverted college sophomore, will be reprising his role on the show in a multi-episode arc.

McDermott’s most recent roles, aside from his stint on American Horror Story, have been on series that were unfortunately short-lived.

ABC’s Mistresses, which could also be called Sex & The Suburbs, premiered June 3 and introduced us to four tight-knit women with one unfortunate common thread: infidelity! In one way or another — some of the women are victims, others perpetrators — cheating plays a major role in their lives; and on the series premiere, we watched one friend reach her breaking point.

Legally Screwed

The story centers around Savannah (Alyssa Milano), a lawyer who appeared to only have eyes for her husband Harry (Brett Tucker) when the episode began — until, of course, things stopped going their way. When Harry learned it’s his fault Savannah hasn’t gotten pregnant yet, he closed himself off, leaving her to feel desperate and alone. Fortunately, ‘desperate and alone’ is the specialty of Dominic (Jason George), another lawyer in her firm.

ABC‘s Mistresses aims for UK gold, but we all know the dangers involved with the “Americanization” of British television. For every The Office, there are four or five Couplings. There’s even a show (Episodes) based on the often misguided, or downright ludicrous, decisions involved in trying to take something that works for British audiences, and turn them into something that appeals to those across the pond. Sometimes the theory is to tweak the way things work, sprinkle in notes of American culture, and hopefully deliver the spirit of things. Once in a while, as with the horrible failure that was the American Coupling (based on one of the best shows ever, by the way), the idea is to try to keep the show intact as much as possible, all the way down to only the most minor of changes to the script. Both theories have their hits and misses.

According to EW, Penelope Ann Miller has joined the cast of ABC's "Mistresses" as Sam's (Erik Stocklin) mother, a woman who has no idea her late husband had an affair with another woman, played by Yunjin Kim.

Based on the BBC One series of the same name, "Mistresses" centers on four women with turbulent love lives. The series is headed to ABC next summer.

Veteran film and TV actress Penelope Ann Miller is joining ABC’s upcoming sexy soapy drama series Mistresses.

Miller (Men of a Certain Age, The Artist) has landed a recurring role on the show. She’ll play Sam’s (Erik Stocklin) mother on the series who has no idea her late husband had a romance with another woman (Yunjin Kim).

Mistresses tells the story of four women with turbulent romantic lives. ABC will debut the show in midseason.

ABC‘s slate of new shows for fall has a strange flavor to it, and it’s going to be a bumpy ride. The network has about as many new shows as returning ones (if you count all the midseasons), and a good percentage of the returning offerings are a year old or less, making this look a bit like a rebuilding year.

Not only is it a rebuilding year, but it’s the year of bringing back every actor and actress who ever had a decent run on a show before. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a network’s new season slate that was so crammed with people returning from something else. If you can’t make it good, I suppose, make sure viewers recognize the faces.

It’s tricky to get a solid feel...

Donner Pass isn't your usual direct-to-dvd slasher opus. Its storyline uses the macabre and very real history of the Donner Party (settlers who moved West in 1846 and resorted to cannibalism to stay alive after being stranded) as thematic material.

The movie then follows a group of modern-day high school kids spending a ski weekend at a cabin up in the Donner Pass area who end up finding out that they have more to fear than the grisly history of the region. Directed by first-time feature filmmaker Elise Robertson, Donner Pass stars Desiree Hall, Erik Stocklin, Colley Bailey and The Crypt Keeper himself- John Kassir.

Recently Dread Central had the opportunity to talk exclusively with Donner Pass star Hall, who portrays the sensible Kayley, who keeps her head once she and her friends begin to be terrorized by a mysterious madman.

The soap, written by Kj Steinberg and based on the British format, is described as a provocative drama about four women — three of them played by Kim, Aytes and Macallan — with scandalous romantic lives, caught in storms of excitement and self-discovery, secrecy and betrayal. Kim will play Katie, a therapist who slept with one of her patients, John, before his death. Also cast on the series are Erik Stocklin in the regular role of Sam, John’s son, who finds himself falling in love with Katie; and Cameron Bender in the recurring role of Richard, a recently divorced man who hires April to re-decorate his new apartment and starts a romance with her. Lost alumna Yunjin Kim has landed a lead role on Mistresses, an ABC drama that was ordered to series last month and is on track for a summer 2013 bow.

Penned by Gossip Girl‘s Kj Steinberg and exec-produced by Revenge‘s Bob Sertner, Mistresses is described as a provocative drama that centers on four women balancing scandalous, complex love lives.

Kim will fill one of the lead roles — Karen, a psychiatrist.

Previously cast on Mistresses were Rochelle Aytes (The Forgotten) as April, a recent widow raising two daughters, and newcomer Jes Macallan as Josslyn, a real estate broker and unapologetically sensual woman.

It's Saturday, March 13, 2010, when Dread arrives to the snowy set of director Elise Robertson's horror feature Donner Pass. Penned by Scott Adams and executive produced by Mouncey Ferguson, who financed the film, the independent feature tells the story of an unlucky group of teens who, while on a ski trip in the mountains around Lake Tahoe, encounter George Donner, an entity with a taste for human flesh, and unfortunately for the group, it's for their own.
