“I don’t know another character like this.” So says Delainey Hayles, Interview With the Vampire‘s new Claudia, who takes over the once-in-a-lifetime role from Bailey Bass in Season 2. Hayles had very little time between booking the role and the start of filming, she tells TV Insider. Her guiding light (her “spark in the dark“) through the quick turnaround was Anne Rice’s 1976 novel, and her onscreen vampire family, Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid. Given the attention to every lush detail in both Rice’s novel and Rolin Jones‘ AMC adaptation, Hayles tell us that “it was very clear how I was going to approach Claudia.” Translating Bass’ performance into her own was an exciting challenge. “I think Bailey did an amazing job in Season 1,” Hayles says of her predecessor. She was “able to pick up where [Bailey] left off” because of how clearly established that fledgling vampire was. Anderson...

Interview with the Vampire Season 2: Cast, plot, premiere date, and everything else there is to know
The timeless love story at the heart of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire won many fans in 2022, but with increased delays for the second season, a lot has changed during the extended hiatus.
It’s rare for a vampire drama to offer more than it borrows from the genre, but the show managed to break through armed with many of Anne Rice’s unique storylines from the novel series.
At the time of its launch, AMC was losing The Walking Dead as the long-running zombie drama signed off after 11 seasons, so new franchises were in demand by the cabler.
Interview with the Vampire broke through with critical acclaim. The show garnered plenty of praise and solid ratings, resulting in a very early renewal for Season 2.
Now that new episodes are approaching, we must review everything we know about the upcoming season.
Get all the details below.

A second season of “Interview with the Vampire” is on the way, and AMC teased the upcoming second season with a sneak peek clip at Nycc that’ll whet your appetite for the vampiric story ahead.
The clip below teases the Théâtre des Vampires and the vampire coven of Armand (Assad Zaman), just as it’s time to devour dinner. The sneak peek also gives us a closer look at Delainey Hayles as Claudia, taking over for Bailey Bass after she exited last season.
Fans of Anne Rice’s novel will know not to expect smooth sailing for Louis and Claudia when they encounter the Théâtre des Vampires. That’s especially the case with Ben Daniels‘ Santiago, the leading vamp thespian of the Théâtre des Vampires who grows increasingly suspicious of the American vampires Louis and Claudia.
The series, which debuted last year, is a “modern, unforgettable retelling of Anne Rice’s best-selling novel.

Based on Anne Rice’s iconic and bestselling novel, the first season stoked the rising passion between New Orleans minor gangland figure Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), the masterful mentoring of the internationally traveled vampire Lestat De Lioncourt (Sam Reid), and the ageless complications of the unfortunate Claudia, the immortal child now played by Delainey Hayles, who replaces Bailey Bass as the series escapes to Paris.
The trailer begins with journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) clicking record on his laptop and asking, “Ok, so where did we leave off?” Considering the abrupt break in family relations which ended the premiere season, there is nowhere to...

AMC Networks dropped a teaser for season 2 of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire featuring Delainey Hayles as the new teenage vampire Claudia.
Hayles was cast in March to replace Bailey Bass, who played the series’ female lead in season 1. The trailer was screened earlier Friday at Comic-Con.
The series is based on the 1976 novel that spawned a 1994 movie starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. The series follows the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac who recounts his life with his maker Lestat de Lioncourt and teenage vampire Claudia to veteran journalist Daniel Molloy, accompanied by ancient vampire Armand. The first season was received well by critics and the show was renewed ahead of premiere in October last year.
Gran Via Productions, Dwight Street Book Club and AMC Studios are producers.
Earlier this week, production on season 2 was production due to the actors strike, despite the fact it is filmed outside the U.

The next chapter of Anne Rice's beloved Southern Gothic saga "The Vampire Chronicles" is here, and season 2 of "Interview with the Vampire" is set to move the action from the dark shadows of New Orleans to the brightly lit stages of Paris. Our favorite deeply problematic drama king Lestat (Sam Reid) is nowhere to be found in the 90-second promo that just dropped for season 2, but Louis (Jacob Anderson) and his vamp daughter Claudia are back, as is the newly revealed vampire Armand (Assad Zaman).
Fans of the series will remember that Armand revealed his true nature to the reporter Daniel Malloy at the end of season 1 after spending the whole season pretending to be Louis' familiar, Rashid. Lestat is out and Armand -- who Louis called the love of his life -- is in, but as fans of Rice's books know, neither guy is a walk in the park.

A second season of “Interview with the Vampire” is on the way, and AMC teased the upcoming second season with a sneak peek clip unveiled today at Sdcc.
The teaser below begins with Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) asking vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) to resume where they left off, setting the stage for a second season centered around the Théâtre des Vampires and the vampire coven of Armand (Assad Zaman).

“Ok, so where did we leave off?” So asks the Interview with the Vampire Season 2 teaser. Well, Season 1 ended with, in the present day, Louis (Jacob Anderson) introducing “the love of my life,” the vampire Armand (Assad Zaman), while in the past, he and Claudia left Lestat (Sam Reid) behind … but with rats at his disposal. And now, thanks to this new video, released at San Diego Comic-Con, we’re getting quite the (bloody) look at what’s to come and Hayles as Claudia. The teaser introduces Louis and Claudia (and us) to the Théâtre des Vampires (“Everything you’re about to see is real”)… but it ends with her asking “Who’s that handsome man on the wall?” — and it’s a portrait of Lestat. AMC released a teaser trailer for “Interview With the Vampire” Season 2 on Friday in lieu of the network’s scrapped Comic-Con panel.
The show continues the story of Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) as he tells it to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Season 2 will return to Bailey Bass’ Claudia, Lestat de Lioncourt’s (Sam Reid) newest fledgling.
“Claudia was an awakening for Louis,” Assad Zaman, who plays Rashid, says at the beginning of the clip. “Claudia was a hunger.”
The clip shows Louis and Claudia in the audience of the Théâtre des Vampires, where the announcer claims, “Everything you’re about to see is real.”
A red-haired woman also in the audience is later shown lying on a table, anticipating Claudia’s vampiric bite. She nods slightly as if she is willing to become a vampire.

While House of the Dragon managed to continue filming abroad amid the SAG-AFTRA strike, Interview With the Vampire has been halted in Prague.
Deadline revealed Monday morning that the AMC vampire drama has paused production until the strike is resolved.
The news is a bit surprising in the wake of the House of the Dragon Season 2 shoot resuming, but Deadline notes that some of the cast filming Interview With the Vampire Season 2 are SAG members.
It's unclear how far the series based on the Anne Rice novels was in the production process, but it had been filming since April.
AMC had not announced a premiere window for the series, but it is expected to be heavily featured at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend.
While the cast and writers can no longer attend, it seems AMC is pressing on with its plans for Sdcc.

Thirteen years after Academy Award®-winner James Cameron introduced viewers to a world unlike any they had ever seen with his breathtaking film Avatar, Disney+ Hotstar is now streaming the eagerly awaited sequel Avatar: The Way of Water. Many were surprised to learn about Stephen Lang’s return to the sequel after the death of his character Colonel Miles Quaritch, in Avatar, who played the human antagonist. However, this time with the Resources Development Administration (Rda) returning to the moon with reinforcement, Lang returns as a recombinant, or recom, of his character.

The first season of AMC’s “Interview With the Vampire” builds a textured, vibrant world, only to watch
it burn and bleed.
Anne Rice’s beloved story of long-dead vampire Lestat (Sam Reid) and his latest creation, Louis (Jacob Anderson), chronicles a relationship baptized in blood, fueled by passion and gutted by betrayal. Thanks to the series’ crafts teams, Louis and Lestat’s bond lives and dies (and lives again) according to a visually cohesive language that congeals around one thing — color.
Production designer Mara LePereSchloop and costume designer Carol Cutshall spent days with fabrics in hand, curating the color palette for the series, which shifts Rice’s 19th-century New Orleans story to the early 20th century and the city’s redlight district Storyville.
“Even though we are dealing with places like brothels, we thought of these spaces as sepia or black and white photographs,” New Orleans resident LePere-Schloop says.

The first season of AMC's "Interview With the Vampire" was a delicious high point of last year's oversaturated TV landscape, and the show is already set for a second season, but the news has now broken that it will be continuing on without one of its stars.
