Lucas Kosoglad has segued from agenting to management. The Innovative Artists veteran has joined Odenkirk-Provissiero Entertainment as a manager.
Kosoglad spent eight years in the talent department at Innovative, where he built a diverse roster with a focus on comedic voices and emerging talent. He has represented such clients as Ariela Barer (Marvel’s Runaways and the newly picked up ABC series Rebel), Allegra Edwards (Amazon’s Upload), Carl Tart (NBC’s Untitled Phil Jackson/Dan Goor Project), Chloe Wepper (Between Two Ferns), Aaron Glenane (Snowpiercer), Tanisha Long (Bigger), Jerah Milligan (Astronomy Club), Brianna Baker (9-1-1: Lone Star), and Kunal Dudheker (Better Things).
“Lucas is a fantastic addition to this close-knit team,” Ope managing partners Naomi Odenkirk and Marc Provissiero said. “We got to know him through shared clients and witnessed just how effective he is. Lucas is also a wonderful human. We are excited he’s joined us.

I have learned that Universal Television has let the options on the entire cast of its NBC’s drama pilot Prism lapse while the studio continues conversations with Netflix about picking up the project to series.
The move is not a surprise. As Deadline reported previously, Netflix intends to retool the Rashomon-Inspired project and shoot a new pilot if it picks up the drama. For that reason, Universal TV was not expected to hold onto most actors, whose options expire this weekend; it was just unclear whether any cast members would be asked to continue.
Prism, from Daniel and Ben Barnz’s We’re Not Brothers Productions, Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz, was an early standout at NBC. It did not make the cut at NBC but Universal TV brass had been very high on the project and took it out immediately after the network passed on the pilot. The...

Exclusive: Netflix is in explanatory conversations with Universal Television about picking up former NBC drama pilot Prism to series, I have learned. I hear there has been considerable interest but sources stress that talks are in very preliminary stages and may not lead to a deal.
Prism, from Daniel and Ben Barnz’s We’re Not Brothers Productions, Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz, was an early standout at NBC, landing one of the first two pilot orders at the broadcast network alongside Bluff City Law, which went to series.
Prism did not make the cut at NBC but Universal TV brass had been very high on the project and took it out immediately after the network passed on the pilot. The feeling was that Prism‘s content is more premium, so it was shopped to Svod services, with Netflix engaging in talks, I hear.

Sara Rue has been cast in a series regular role in the NBC drama pilot “Prism,” Variety has learned.
“Prism” is an exploration of a murder trial in which every episode is told through the perspective of a different key person involved. Each new version of the facts ratchets up the mystery and the suspense, calling into question everything we have seen so far and asking if the right person is on trial. Driven by an ensemble of complicated characters, the show lets the audience ask if truth matters less than who can tell the most compelling story.
Rue will play Alexis Boden, who is described as ambitious and views the trial as her “Serial” opportunity. Rue joins previously announced cast members Malin Akerman, Mykelti Williamson, Ramon Rodriguez, Chloe Wepper, David Alpay, and Brooke Smith.
Rue currently recurs on the ABC shows “The Rookie” and “American Housewife.” She also previously...

Michael Emerson is headed back to CBS: The Person of Interest vet has joined the network’s drama pilot Evil, from The Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King, our sister site Deadline reports.
The project follows a skeptical female clinical psychologist (Westworld‘s Katja Herbers), a priest-in-training (Luke Cage star Mike Colter) and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possessions and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.

The RSVPs are in and, finally, after assembling a star-studded cast, principal photography has kicked off on the Atlanta set of DreamWorks’ festive comedy, Office Christmas Party – but not without the last-minute addition of Chloe Wepper.
That’s according to The Hollywood Reporter, confirming that Wepper will star opposite the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, T.J. Miller and soon-to-be-Ghostbuster Kate McKinnon, who each look to ring in the festive season with a bang. At the heart of the workplace comedy, though, is a hard-partying Average Joe (Bateman, we assume), who learns that his CEO sister is attempting to shutter the branch he’s called home for years.
In a last-ditch – and ill-advised – attempt to salvage some festivity, Office Christmas Party brings together the entire workplace for the biggest bash of the year as our protagonist teams with the Cto in order to impress a potential client. Also on the...

We have the first TV show cancellation of the 2014-15 season and Manhattan Love Story is the "winner" of the title. ABC has cancelled the new sitcom after four episodes.
Manhattan Love Story follows the members of an extended family from New York City as they navigate the pitfalls of their various relationships. Fortunately, only the audience is privy to their inner thoughts. The castmembers include Analeigh Tipton, Jake McDorman, Nicolas Wright, Jade Catta-Preta, Chloe Wepper, and Kurt Fuller.
The sitcom debuted on September 30th to a mediocre 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.7 million viewers. It wasn't a very good start but the sitcom had no stars, little lead-in support, and was airing opposite two of the top-rated shows on television -- The Voice and NCIS.
Unfortunately, the competition got even tougher in later weeks -- and...

Last season's Trophy Wife revolved around an extended family, aired on Tuesday nights on ABC, and was cancelled due to low ratings. Will the Manhattan Love Story TV show follow the same path or will it be a hit? Cancelled or renewed for season two? We shall see.

Now that it is just barely summer, it’s time for the networks to try their best to get you excited for fall television. ABC wants you to get excited for their schedule, and their new shows, and I’ve got some previews for you, as well as some initial thoughts.
I have to tell you, ABC is looking more and more strange as time goes on, and the overall efforts of the network really have to make you wonder. While there are some hints of interesting shows, and one or two that might turn into worthwhile vehicles, in the Eddie and the Cruisers world of television, ABC is Joe Pantoliano, clutching his tapes, and furiously blathering about the lunacy of not giving the idiotic public what they want, especially since they keep demanding it.
To that end, ABC has declared Thursday, Shonda Rhimes night, largely because someone apparently had...
