Carrie Underwood made Zap2it's best dressed list at the 55th Grammy Awards, and part of her ensemble was a $31 million diamond necklace by Johnathon Arndt.
The sparkler showcases 381 carats of oval, pear, marquis and round brilliant white diamonds. They look pretty brilliant, alright.
Carrie shared her thoughts on the baubles when she stopped to talk to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet. When Seacrest asked if the necklace was heavy, Underwood told him, "It's heavy on my soul."
She explained she felt a little anxious wearing something that expensive, and worried someone might tackle her for it at any moment.
Carrie, whose gorgeous gown is by Roberto Cavalli, told Zap2it, "It's just fun to be there and to be a part of history." We bet it was also fun to win the Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance. The "American Idol" alum beat out Blake Shelton, Hunter Hayes,...

New York — Adele dominated last year's Grammy Awards, but this year there isn't a clear winner in sight.
That's because a slew of acts are up for top prizes, from fun. to Frank Ocean to Mumford & Sons. Those performers are nominated for six trophies, as are Kanye West, Jay-z and Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys.

After several weeks of auditions, American Idol brought it all to a close in Oklahoma City with a lofty goal — will the show find its new Carrie Underwood, the "greatest American Idol to date," according to Randy Jackson? The show had never visited Oklahoma City before, but as Keith Urban pointed out, there is a deep talent pool in the state, including country stars Vince Gill and Ronnie Dunn. Not to mention that Huey Lewis name-checked it in his epic ode to music, “The Heart of Rock and Roll.” So, aside from the obvious nods to the

How Fun! The Grammys handed out their nominations Wednesday night at a concert in Nashville - and there was a decidedly youthful feel: Taylor Swift earned a nod for record of the year and the band Fun joined Frank Ocean with the trifecta of album of the year, record of the year and best new artist. Overall, the Recording Academy spread the wealth, awarding six nominations to Fun, Jay-z, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and Kanye West, while the Black Keys, Chick Corea and Miguel earned five nominations each. And the winners of the 2013 Grammy Awards are ... the men. Male artists dominate the nominees in the top categories for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, announced Wednesday night (Dec. 5).
Topping the list with six nominations each are Jay-z, Kanye West, Fun., Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.
Taylor Swift, whose new album "Red" won't be eligible for consideration until 2014, earned a single nod for Record of the Year with her hit breakup single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
The biggest snubs are teen heartthrobs Justin Bieber and One Direction, who cleaned up at the American Music Awards, and Rihanna. The "Diamonds" singer earned a trio of nods (pop solo performance for her "Where Have You Been," rap-sung collaboration nomination with Jay-z for "Talk That Talk" and short-form music video for "We Found Love") but is Mia from the major categories.

Taylor Swift, reuniting with LL Cool J to co-host the Grammy Nominations Concert Wednesday night (Sept. 5), might not have conquered all musical genres yet.

The co-host herself scored a nod (Record of the Year for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Again") -- but Fun. led the night with nominations in all the major categories.

Nashville, Tenn. -- Everyone's got a theory about what goes into winning the Country Music Association's entertainer of the year award.
Martina McBride thinks it should go to the artist who makes the strongest connection with fans. Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney put an emphasis on rear ends – the ones in the seats at their concerts. Ronnie Dunn sums it up this way: "A lot of politics."
Brad Paisley, the reigning entertainer of the year, thinks it's about giving fans the most for their money.
"This is a format where we recognize entertaining, and I love it that we're not above it," Paisley said. "There is some aspect of that award that's (about) who shot the lasers over the crowd, who swung from ropes, and I think it's kind of cool that we're all sort of dancing monkeys willing to go the extra mile to entertain."

Fox is certainly digging into its own well to find national anthem singers for the World Series. First, "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery belted out the tune with a minor lyrical hiccup (we chalk it up to his country twang). And now, "New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel is slated to sing the song before Sunday's (Oct. 23) game 4.
Deschanel may seem like an odd choice at first, but she's got some musical cred. Deschanel is half of indie folk pop duo She & Him, which has put out two studio albums and has a Christmas album scheduled for release on Oct. 25. And as an actress, we imagine she's adept at memorizing lines, which will help her avoid the recent string of celeb anthem blunders.
For the remainder of the games currently scheduled, Fox is going all-out country, with Trace Adkins rocking the mic for game 2 (Oct. 20) and Ronnie Dunn picking up game 3 (Oct.

For Jewel and her husband Ty Murray, quiet life out on their 2,400-acre ranch in Stephenville, Texas just got a little more rambunctious.
On July 11, the couple welcomed son Kase Townes after an unexpected emergency c-section that left the new parents slightly shaken, but happy to end up with their “mellow and chill” baby boy.

On July 11, the couple welcomed son Kase Townes after an unexpected emergency c-section that left the new parents slightly shaken, but happy to end up with their “mellow and chill” baby boy.
“They always say, ‘Make a plan and God laughs,’ right?” says the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter, 37.
“We wanted a natural birth and I was committed to that. I studied hypnobirthing.”

Lady Antebellum log a lot of together time on the road, where the trio share living quarters on the tour bus - but sometimes even best friends need a breather. For the group, that means spending a little alone time at their new Nashville homes. The trio, who just released their third album, Own the Night, open their doors in the latest People Country issue, showing off Hillary Scott's renovated bungalow (decorated with flea market finds and Tj Maxx deals), Charles Kelley's 2,700-sq- ft. colonial ("It's not too big, so it's manageable and perfect for us," he says) and Dave Haywood's 900-sq.

After being forced to give up her No. 1 position on Billboard Hot 200 to Lady GaGa for two weeks in a row, Adele bounces back to the hot spot this week. The British singer/songwriter comes back reclaiming the penthouse of the weekly rundown with her sophomore set "21" which sells another 114,000 copies.
The album has so far pulled in around 2.2 million copies since making its way out across the country in late February this year, becoming a strong contender for best-selling album of the year. It hit 1 million mark by April, making Adele the first artist to rake in such a whopping sale number this year.
This week marks Adele's 10th non-consecutive week on the first position on the U.S. Album chart. She joins a few of female artists who in the last 10 years manage to hold the first position for many weeks. Taylor Swift sat at No. 1 with 2008 "Fearless...

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) - After relinquishing the top spot for two weeks to Lady Gaga's massive "Born This Way," Adele returns to the top spot with 21, selling another 114,000 copies for its tenth week at #1. Gaga follows with "Born This Way" slipping to #2 in its third week, selling 100,000 copies.
But the biggest chart news this week is the massive jump made by the original Broadway cast recording of "The Book of Mormon," the now Tony Award-winning musical from "South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
Following its big awards sweep, the "Book of Mormon" album jumped from outside the Billboard 200 all the way to #3, selling 61,000 copies (it initially debuted four weeks ago at #31, selling 13,000). That's the best chart performance for a Broadway cast album since 1969's "Hair" and the highest sales tally since Soundscan started reporting in 1991.

Lady Gaga’s initial stint at No. 1 may end after only two weeks if Adele has her way. As on Friday, the two were locked in a dead heat for No. 1 for the top of the charts. Both “Born This Way” and “21” are on target to sell between 110,000 and 120,000 copies, according to Hits Daily Double. That’s twice as much as “Dirty Work” from All Time Low and “All 6’s and 7’s” from Tech N9ne are slated to move to duke it out for No. 3. What a difference a week — and a price higher than 99 cents — makes. While Lady Gaga will hold on to the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week, sales for Born This Way were down a whopping 84 percent in its second go-round, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan, plummeting from more than 1.1 million to just over 174,000. That put Mother Monster within sight of the 1.3 million mark, while the unstoppable Adele held the #2 spot with 21, which moved another 121,000 to push over the 2 million mark.
There are plenty of other new faces in the top 10, with Death Cab for Cutie crashing in at #3 with Codes and Keys (102,000), Eddie Vedder just behind with his sedate solo effort Ukulele Songs (71,000) and Kentucky rockers My Morning Jacket notching their...
