This week on Vegas Rat Rods, sometimes even cowboys need a little something to lift their spirits and what better than a carnival ride on wheels designed by Steve Darnell. Every town needs a cowboys and every cowboy needs a rat rod, Ok so we made that up but that’s kinda the gist of this week’s Vegas Rat Rods. Michael Sharpe aka “The Cowboy” is an outgoing used-car salesman who is looking for something a little different from the team. His attitude is that he doesn’t care whether people are laughing with him or laughing at him, as long as their...read more...

James Ryan Gary's Devil's Crossing is a post-apocalyptic zombie western that's been looking to score itself distro for a while now. Can this latest piece of sales art do the trick? Seems like kind of a no-brainer to us.
Michael Sharpe, Patrick G. Keenan, Kevin L. Johnson, and Jenny Gulley star.
Synopsis
Nuclear war has ravaged the world. The remnants of humanity fight to survive, taking refuge in bleak settlements. The undead wander the earth, slaves to their bloodlust, or perhaps some higher power? The tattered town of Celestial sets the stage for the greatest battle of the New Dark Age! A score that must be settled and a reckoning that has been 235 years in the making. Shadrach is a man who watched his life burnt to the ground! Left for dead, having sold his soul to the devil with his last dying breath. A slave to the devil.

Last year talented filmmaker Michael Sharpe debuted an impressive short film with us. So when we heard he had another he wanted to launch here on Dread Central, all we could say was, "Hell yes!"
Sharpe previously gave us the film Deviling, and if you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out later. But for now scroll down and dig on his newest nightmare, Out of One's Misery. Trust us; you'll love it.
The short stars Sharpe (who also wrote and directed) with Pat Dortch (who, goddamn, looks like Andrew Lincoln of "The Walking Dead"), Kayli Tolleson and Mahri Shelton.
Synopsis:
A stranger haunts a man struggling with the death of his wife and child.
Enjoy! And if you like what you see, be sure to go over and 'like' Out of One's Misery on Facebook.
Out Of One's Misery from Sharpe Edge Films on Vimeo.

Day four of watching nothing but horror films, and I still wish it could never end. Especially the shorts. Segment after segment, so many budding talents have been treating audiences to bite-sized genre treats through a large variety of stories.
That’s what I love about a properly executed short – you get all the enjoyment of a feature film, compressed down into a quicker and simpler format which saves time, offering the opportunity for multiple high points in one night. Well, let’s keep it rolling, and showcase the last batch of shorts from the New York City Horror Film Festival!

Remember when cutesy cheerleader type hotties with mousey voices and innocent charm were a turn on? The whole blonde next door with bangin’ good looks and a smoldering sex appeal used to be something you looked for? Oh, it still is? Well...

We were recently contacted by filmmaker Michael Sharpe (we don't believe there is any relationship to the classic "Iron" wrestler of the same name) requesting a review for his short film Deviling. After viewing the 15-minute movie, we felt we owed our readers more than a review. We wanted you to see it for yourselves!
The film stars Robert Haulbrook in the lead role of Roland, the lovelorn mortician. Jodi Essex is featured as the object of his desires, Sharlene (and we mustn't forget Tommy Allen Taylor as the corpse!) Haulbrook is amazing, demonstratively illustrating Roland's journey from jilted lover to vengeful psychotic. There is nothing subtle about his performance. He gives you everything he's got. He's creepy and pale with jittery nervous tics and maniacal facial expressions. This is a marvelous performance that has already garnered awards for Haulbrook himself and the film.

Director/writer: James Ryan Gary.
Cast: Michael Sharpe, Patrick G. Keenan, Jenny Gulley and Kevin L. Johnson.
Devil's Crossing is the first film from the very young director James Ryan Gary. Seriously, this guy looks twenty in his interviews. The film is a blend of the western and horror genres as zombies promise to take over the world. Devil's Crossing is similar to other films like the recent Cowboys and Zombies, Olivier Beguin's short film "Dead Bones" and Spencer Estabrooks' "Dead Walkers." All of these are great films including Gary's latest entry. This title will release in the United Kingdom January 30th and it is already available in North America; this reviewer would recommend the film to indie horror fans across the board.
The film begins with the character Shadrach played by Michael Sharpe. He is digging his...

Lady GaGa has just lost Kid Cudi as her main opening artist for her "Monster Ball" tour. MTV News reported that on Wednesday, December 16, Cudi released a statement, saying he had to leave the tour due to scheduling conflicts.
"Kid Cudi has decided to take an early leave of absence from Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour, in order to balance his schedule surrounding the recording of his next album and acting commitments," the statement read. "Cudi does not want to disappoint his fans and will move forward with his individual show dates in December and throughout the month of January."
However, rumor suggested that Cudi's departure is not 100% on his own accord. It was said he was knocked out of the roadshow due to his December 12 incident in Toronto. He, at the time, punched one of the fans, named Michael Sharpe, who mistakenly caught a wallet which was tossed...

Kid Cudi has punched a fan during a recent performance in Vancouver. According to Exclaim!, the 'Day 'n' Nite' rapper came into the Commodore Ballroom audience and hit the man after a wallet was tossed onstage. Michael Sharpe, the victim of the attack, released a statement explaining what happened: "So here's the story: Some guy throws their wallet At Cudi... (his wallet, I don’t know why). A man who appeared to get punched in the face by Kid Cudi at a show on Saturday night at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom said he's not mad at the "Day 'N Nite" rapper after the incident.
TMZ ran photos of the alleged victim, Michael Sharpe, who appeared to have a small red spot on his cheek, but said he had no intention of filing charges against Cudi (born Scott Mescudi). According to Sharpe, during the show, someone threw a wallet onstage and Cudi tossed it back into the crowd. Sharpe said he caught it, but since it wasn't his, he threw it back up onstage again. Cudi then came toward him and began punching Sharpe, he said.

Kid Cudi has punched a fan during his concert in Vancouver over the weekend. The rapper reportedly was upset when a wallet was thrown onto the stage by a concertgoer. After tossing back the wallet, he stretches across the barricade and tried to clock the man throwing the wallet in the head.
Unfortunately, Cudi hit the wrong person. According to Twitter talks, "the guy he was supposed to punch was standing four feet to the left." Michael Sharpe, the man who got the punch from the rapper, suffered from minor bruises on his right cheek.
"I'm not upset, I'm not going to be that person," Michael told TMZ after the incident. "I just want to meet him and be like 'I'm the guy you punched.' I'm not going to press charges."...
