Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Patrick Mahomes bumped the 42-year-old Brady from the top spot this past season, cementing his status as the face of football, Sportico has learned.
Brady, a six-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots who joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent, is second on the NFL Players’ Association’s official list of top-selling players from March of last year through February. He has made a record 18 straight appearances in the top three since the Nflpa introduced the list in 2014.
The list includes sales of all officially licensed player-identified merchandise, including jerseys, trading cards, wall decals, T-shirt and bobbleheads. Nflpa licensees generated their sixth consecutive year of record sales, topping $1.9 billion.

The Oakland Raiders will be featured on the latest season of HBO’s NFL training camp series, “Hard Knocks.”
The upcoming season will be the Raiders’ last season in Oakland before the team moves to Las Vegas for the 2020 season. The new five-episode season premieres on HBO on Aug. 6 at 10 p.m.
“Since the Afl-NFL merger, the Raiders have been a part of some of the most iconic moments in League history,” says NFL Films senior executive Ross Ketover. “We at NFL Films have been thrilled and honored to showcase the mythology of the Raiders from the Holy Roller, Sea of Hands, Ghost to the Post all the way to today with Coach Gruden and this unbelievable cast of players and coaches. Needless to say, we’re very much looking forward to this season of Hard Knocks.”

Michael Strahan is a man who doesn’t mind getting down, dirty and even slimy for a job.
The former Super Bowl champion and current “Strahan and Sara” co-host is returning to Nickelodeon to host the “Kids’ Choice Sports 2019,” the network announced on Thursday.
“Nickelodeon’s ‘Kids’ Choice Sports’ is a one-of-a-kind awards show that brings all-star athletes, kids and of course, slime together,” Strahan in a statement. “When I hosted the first year of the show, I loved it — the energy, stunts, kids, crowd and slime … a lot of slime!
“Hosting this show has been one of my favorite things I’ve done, and this year is going to be the biggest, the baddest and the slimiest,” he added.
