Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you haven’t watched “Brave,” the series finale of “Love, Victor,” now streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
Hulu’s “Love, Victor” came full circle in its series finale, ending where it began — atop Creekwood High’s Winter Carnival Ferris wheel.
In the closing moments of the third season, Victor (Michael Cimino) returned to the spot where, exactly one year earlier in the pilot, he took a ride with former girlfriend Mia (Rachel Hilson) to conceal his sexuality. Only this time, it was his ex-boyfriend Benji (George Sear) sitting beside Victor, professing their love for one another after they spent the season apart so Benji could address his alcoholism and Victor could get to know himself.
“Victor found out who he was this season, and realized that Benji was the right person for him,” Cimino told Variety.

This article contains spoilers for Love, Victor season 3.
When Love, Victor first premiered on Hulu in June of 2020, it became a special show for so many LGBTQ people, both young and old, because it showed the coming-of-age trope from a whole different perspective than what audiences were accustomed to. Rather than being pushed to the background as a sidekick, Victor Salazar (Michael Cimino) is the star of the whole shebang, the Latino teenager that we put all of our attention towards. Queer characters have often served as the sidekicks in TV, but shows like Love, Victor have changed the way non-straight people serve the narrative of their programs.
Victor’s acceptance of himself as a gay teenager has always been tied to his crush on classmate and eventual co-worker Benji Campbell (George Sear). In the very first episode of the show, Victor realizes that he feels things for Benji that...

Note: Spoilers for the entirety of “Love, Victor” Season 3 below.
For the past three years, “Love, Victor” has shepherded a wave of uplifting stories centered around young, queer people, including Hulu’s “Crush,” HBO Max’s “Genera+ion,” and Netflix’s “The Half of It” and “Heartstopper.” The serialized spin-off to the 2018 film “Love, Simon,” following Michael Cimino’s Victor Salazar, a closeted high schooler of Colombian and Puerto Rican descent, was heralded as having rectified some of the sins of its predecessor, offering a more nuanced and intricate representation of LGBTQ+ youth.
With its third season, which debuted on Hulu (and Disney+) in its entirety June 15, the series is coming to a close. The show’s unexpected end — announced back in February — came despite its maintenance of strong audience and critical reviews, with Them magazine describing it as “distressing proof that nothing pure lasts forever.”

“Love, Victor” will return in its Pride month tradition for a third and final season this June, described as “one last chance to feel the love.” The first season of the “Love, Simon” (2018) spinoff debuted in the summer of 2020, providing a bright spot amidst a lot of historical turmoil. Season 2 followed in the summer of 2021 with 10 packed episodes that introduced some new characters, relationships and obstacles for the Creekwood crew.
We left off with Victor choosing between Benji (George Sear) and Rahim (Anthony Keyvan) at the end of Season 2 after Mia’s dad’s wedding to Veronica (Sophia Bush). Other connections fizzled out for new ones to form, and several threads were left untied.
Fans of Becky Albertali’s original book “Simons vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda,” the 2018 movie adaptation “Love, Simon” or of the latest spinoff series may be wondering how to watch “Love, Victor,” and there are some updated options.

Victor (Michael Cimino) just wants to start over — just as the end is near.
The third and final season of “Love, Victor” premieres June 15 on Hulu and, this time, also on Disney+ as the streamer expands its older-skewing offerings. Season 2 left off with Victor’s love triangle heating up between his first love Benji (George Sear) and new student Rahim (Anthony Kevyan), who recently came out to his Muslim family after receiving advice from Victor.
As graduation looms and Victor tries to determine who he wants to (re)start a relationship with, the high school senior hopes to just “go back to that perfect moment” of falling in love for the first time.
“A lot of the time, the scariest things are also the most important, like admitting who you love or who you are,” Victor says in the trailer.

"There was something between us. I thought we were friends, and things got confused," Victor responds.
However, Benji appears to want to sort out his problems on his own, and we see him packing a car.

“Love, Victor” is being added to Disney+.
The upcoming third season of the teen coming-of-age drama, will be available on Disney+ and Hulu beginning June 15, along with Seasons 1 and 2, a source with knowledge of the move confirmed to TheWrap.
“Love, Victor” was originally developed for Disney+ but was moved to Hulu after Disney worried that some of the themes explored in the show, such as alcohol use and teen sexuality, might not belong on the family friendly streamer. All eight episodes will drop at once on Wednesday, June 15. “This season finds Victor going on a journey of self-discovery — not only deciding who he wants to be with, but more broadly, who he wants to be,” Hulu teases in the synopsis. “With their post-high-school-plans looming, Victor and his friends are faced with a new set of problems that they must work through to make the best choices for their futures.” The comedy, a spinoff of the 2018 movie Love, Simon, also stars Rachel Hilson, Anthony Turpel, Bebe Wood, Mason Gooding, George Sear, Isabella Ferreira, Mateo Fernandez, James Martinez, Ana Ortiz, Anthony Keyvan, and Ava Capri. Will “Love, Victor” get love from the Emmys when nominations are announced on July 13? The television academy has often been biased against shows about teenagers and young adults, but the timing could be advantageous for the Hulu series, and it has 19 submissions on the Emmy ballots that it could turn into nominations or wins.
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Dawson’s Creek,” “Felicity,” “Gilmore Girls,” and “Veronica Mars” have showed how hard it can be for programs about young people to get the respect of Emmy voters. But there have been exceptions, like the Best Drama Actress nomination for “My So-Called Life” star Claire Danes, the Best Drama Series bid for “Joan of Arcadia,” and 2020’s Drama Actress victory for “Euphoria” star Zendaya.

Season 2 of Hulu’s comedy-drama series “Love, Victor” was recently released, giving fans another look into Victor’s life as he comes out as gay to his Catholic parents, further explores his queerness in a new relationship and possibly falls for another boy — all while navigating high school. And underscoring the show’s moving plot lines is a collection of original songs — most of which are from queer artists — that brilliantly soundtrack each heart-fluttering hand hold, emotional confession and rousing climax throughout the season.
Inspired by and set in the same world as the beloved movie “Love, Simon,” “Love, Victor” follows Michael Cimino as Victor, a half Puerto Rican, half Colombian American teen who is piecing together his identity as he juggles family, friendships and romantic interests.
George Sear stars as Victor’s main love interest, Benji, alongside Rachel Hilson, Anthony Turpel, Bebe Wood, Mason Gooding, Isabella Ferreira, Ana Ortiz and James Martinez.

This article contains spoilers for Love, Victor season 2.
When it was announced that the iconic 2018 rom-com Love, Simon would receive a spinoff TV series, many worried it wouldn’t be able to find its own unique portrayal of sexual orientation awakening. In the hands of thoughtful showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger and the endearing lead performance from Michael Cimino, Love, Victor is able to cast a wide net of LGBTQ perspectives for the audience to learn and connect to.
That’s why Hulu’s teen romance series has developed a niche, but rabid fanbase in the past year. As an audience, getting to follow along with Victor Salazar (the aforementioned Cimino) on his journey has been an honest and raw reflection of so many viewers’ experiences with their own sexuality. With the second season having premiered on June 11, excitement has been building to see where the title character goes...

[Editor’s note: The following review contains minor spoilers for Season 2 of “Love, Victor.”]
With an avalanche of LGBTQ+ content releasing every month, the days of squinting for a glimpse of queer representation seem to be safely behind us. But quantity does not always guarantee quality, especially when it comes to stories about marginalized identities. When 20th Century Fox released “Love, Simon” in 2018, it was the first studio movie to feature a gay teen coming out story. Though it was cheesy as hell, the comedy warmed the hearts of queer audiences of all ages, most of whom had never seen a reflection of their young selves in a big-screen movie with A-list stars.
The movie did surprisingly well at the box office, earning $66 million worldwide to become the 15th highest-grossing teen romance since 1980. Clearly, LGBTQ+ audiences were hungry. Wisely capitalizing on its success, 20th Television temaed up with “Love, Simon” screenwriters Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger to create “Love, Victor,” which expanded...

Spoiler Warning: Do not read if you have not watched Season 2 of “Love, Victor,” streaming now on Hulu.
The second season of “Love, Victor” — the spinoff series of the groundbreaking 2018 coming out feature “Love, Simon” — picks up right where the first left off, with Atlanta teenager Victor Salazar (Michael Cimino) telling his parents that he’s gay. After waiting a year, audiences finally get to see how Armando (James Martinez) and Isabel (Ana Ortiz) react to their son’s announcement.
It’s not terrible — there are no tears or screaming, no condemnations or rejections. But at first, neither parent embraces who Victor is either. Armando at least engages, if awkwardly, asking about his girlfriend (i.e. Victor’s attempt to convince himself he could be with a woman) and wondering aloud when he decided he was gay.
Isabel, however, remains silent. When Victor finally asks her to say something, she blanches.

Hulu has released the first trailer for the second season of its heartwarming LGBTQ teen series “Love, Victor.” Based on the “Love, Simon” YA book and movie franchise, the first season of “Love, Victor” expanded on the concept of a closeted gay teenager who works out his feelings about coming out through writing letters. (Hence the title.) Where “Love, Simon” wrote letters to a paramour, “Love, Victor” puts its leading man (cutie pie Michael Cimino) in touch with the older Simon, who acts as a kind of gay older brother/mentor to Victor.
The first season set up this dynamic, introduced a slew of other amusing characters in Victor’s orbit, and also explored cultural nuances of LGBTQ acceptance through Victor’s close-knit Latinx family. Season 1 left off with Victor’s impending coming out to his traditional parents, and the Season 2 trailer picks up at the cliffhanger of that final scene.

Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough set off on a whirlwind weekend romance in Monday, a romantic drama that IFC Films released in theaters and on-demand Friday.
It’s the fourth feature from director Argyris Papadimitropoulos, who also wrote and produced the film.
Here is the plot: When Mickey (Stan) is dragged away from his DJ set by a drunken friend and introduced to Chloe (Gough) one hot summer night in Athens, the attraction between the pair is immediately palpable. So palpable that before they know it they’re waking up naked on the beach Saturday morning. And so it goes that a one-night stand on Friday turns into a whirlwind weekend romance that leads to serious conversations when they face the harsh sunlight on Monday morning.

If there’s one thing the Hollywood Foreign Press Association loves to do, it’s to give birth to a star — so could “Love, Victor’s” Michael Cimino be next? The half-hour Hulu series — which is set in the same world as the 2018 coming-of-age dramedy film “Love, Simon” — boasts the 21-year-old actor in his first-ever leading role, for which he could (and should) land a Golden Globe nomination in the Best TV Comedy Actor category.
Cimino plays Victor Salazar, a 16-year-old who embarks on a journey of self-discovery when he and his family move from Texas to Shady Creek, Atlanta. As opposed to “Love, Simon’s” Simon Spier (Nick Robinson), who struggles primarily with coming out, Victor is still trying to navigate and understand his sexual orientation. Cimino sells his character’s inner conflict impeccably, stumbling over his words and his heart patently skipping a beat whenever Victor is opposite his crush,...

After 2018’s coming-of-age dramedy film “Love, Simon” received no love at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards — including for leading man Nick Robinson, who was expected to make the cut in Best Film Comedy Actor — its Hulu spinoff series “Love, Victor” is now hoping to win over the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s heart and snag a Best Comedy Series nom.
Released in its entirety on June 17, the 10-episode debut installment chronicles 16-year-old Victor Salazar’s (Michael Cimino) journey toward self-discovery after he and his family move from Texas to Shady Creek, Atlanta. Getting a taste of the legacy Simon Spier (Robinson) — who is out of the closet and in a happy relationship by the end of the movie — left behind at Creekwood High, Victor begins to reach out to him via social media when he finds himself conflicted about his own sexual orientation. Meanwhile, he faces a number of additional challenges at home,...
