“What’s Left Behind” is an apt title for the ninth episode of FX limited series American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez. With Odin Lloyd’s murder tackled in episode eight, Hernandez (played by Josh Rivera) clearly reached the point of no return. Waving off the police who show up to his home in the night to ask him questions as they investigate Lloyd’s (played by J. Alex Brinson) murder is a very temporary fix. By the episode’s end, Hernandez’s fiancée, Shayanna “Shay” Jenkins, with whom he shared the home, is caught between her man and child’s father and her younger sister Shaneah Jenkins, who is literally grieving the loss of her partner, Odin, on the couch in that home.

While All Rise may have been canceled, the legal drama has plenty to be proud of. From its debut on CBS to its current home on OWN, All Rise boasts many strengths that are missing from other TV series. Led by a talented yet underappreciated cast, the show has a unique approach to storytelling and finds many small, meaningful ways to surprise viewers.

It's disappointing that Season 3 will be the last, especially as the season will only last 10 episodes. Still, thanks to its talented stars and captivating character arcs, All Rise is a special TV drama and there isn't likely to ever be another series quite like it. Luckily, viewers can stream it on either Hulu or Max before new installments premiere on OWN.

We have unfortunate but expected news about OWN's thrilling courtroom drama All Rise.

The series has been canceled after three seasons.

Truthfully, the writing had been on the wall for some time.

All Rise Season 3 Episode 10 aired a year ago, and the series has been on hiatus ever since -- never a good sign for any series.

In March, Deadline reported that the entire cast had been released, meaning that new deals would have to be reached if negotiations got underway for a fourth season.

As a result, the series has faced an uphill battle since its move to the cable network after CBS swung the axe following All Rise Season 2.

The only silver lining here is that we still have ten episodes of All Rise left to air.

They will begin airing on Saturday, September 16, at 9 p.m. Et/Pt.

The fate of All Rise is, once again, up in the air.

Deadline reported Thursday that Warner Bros. Television has released the cast of the legal drama.

OWN, which picked up the show from CBS after the network canceled it after two seasons, has yet to schedule the second half of All Rise Season 3.

The show has been off the air since early August, so the lack of updates on when the rest of the season would air has been a major cause for concern.

Deadline notes that OWN will not make an official decision on a pickup for a potential fourth season until the next batch of episodes air.

The outlet believes the episodes will see the light of day later this year.

However, there's a good chance the cast will have moved on to new projects, meaning that assembling everyone again for a potential All Rise Season 4 will be a difficult task.

Exclusive: Once again, All Rise is facing a possible cancellation. The cast of the courtroom drama series, led by Simone Missick, has been released by producing studio Warner Bros. Television.

OWN gave All Rise a second lease on life, picking up the series for a 20-episode Season 3 in 2021 following its cancellation by CBS after two seasons. All Rise was not able to bring in broadcast-size audience to OWN but Season 3A did Ok by cable standards. With the cast options coming up and Season 3B yet to be scheduled, I hear the studio notified the actors that their options are not getting picked up. “All Rise,” is an American courtroom drama focusing on both the personal and professional lives of the judges, prosecutors, public defenders, and other legal professionals who work at the L.A. County courthouse. At the show’s center is Judge Lola Carmichael, a former deputy district attorney newly appointed to the bench.

The show ran for two seasons on CBS, until it was canceled in May 2021. A few months later, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) revived the show, and a third season is set to air in June of 2022.

While it was initially reported that the CBS-turned-own legal drama would be back in the spring, the cabler announced Wednesday that it would be back in June.

The news broke during the virtual Television Critics association.

On the casting front, there will be some changes.

Marg Helgenberger has been confirmed to return in the recurring role of Judge Lisa Benner.

Helgenberger's future on the show was up in the air when the star booked a pilot before the show was revived.

She is also in talks to return to the CSI universe, but hey, at least Judge Benner will be a part of the new season.

Christian Keyes is set to take over the role of Lola's husband Robin. The role was previously played by Todd Williams.

After a tumultuous second season that had more drama offscreen than on it, the cast and crew of “All Rise” are thrilled to be embarking on a third season at the Oprah Winfrey Network.

The cabler picked up the legal drama when it was canceled after two seasons at CBS amid shake-ups that saw several writers resign and showrunner Greg Spottiswood fired for misconduct.

“I thought we were over,” said current showrunner and executive producer Dee Harris-Lawrence, who took over after Spottiswood’s exit.

“There’s not that many shows like our show that tell these type of stories. So I’m excited to continue them at OWN,” she said during a Television Critics Association panel on Wednesday, in which she gushed that 80% of the staff are back for the series’ new beginning.

Marg Helgenberger will reprise the role of Supervising Judge Lisa Benner in OWN’s All Rise for Season 3. The network revealed the new season will premiere in June and will pick up 6 months after the events of the Season 2 finale.

The first two seasons ran on CBS before it was canceled last May. OWN announced it had picked up the series in September.

“Marg is definitely part of our show, she’s in the first episode. I’m very excited,” series executive producer and showrunner Dee Harris Lawrence said during the show’s Ctam panel on Wednesday.

New additions also include two new recurring cast members including Roger Guenveur Smith portraying Judge Marshall Thomas and Christian Keyes, who will play Robin (previously played by Todd Wiliams), Lola Carmichael...

Simone Missick took to Instagram to reveal that the former CBS series would officially return to the air on OWN in the near future.

The news is welcome, especially for fans who have been waiting for more episodes since May 2021.

Missick suggested the theme of the new episodes will be "new beginnings," and given the network change, we couldn't agree more.

The leading lady also revealed during an Instagram Live with Yaani King Mondschein that something huge is about to go down for the characters.

“Something dramatic happens at the courthouse and somebody might not make it," the star teases.

On the other hand, “somebody might be coming into Lola’s life and messing things up,” Missick said.

In a spectacular turn of events, All Rise could return from the dead.

Per Deadline, the canceled CBS drama could be revived at cable network OWN.

The outlet states that Warner Bros. TV is in very early negotiations about a potential third season renewal.

These talks are notoriously complicated, and there's no guarantee that a renewal will come on the back of it.

Still, Warner Bros. TV is in negotiations with the cast to lock them in should a new season get ordered.

The cast was released in June when their options expired, and that usually complicates shows returning from the dead.

But there appears to be interest, which could bode well for the future of the show.

Leading up to the cancellation after two seasons, it was revealed that creator/co-showrunner was fired following an investigation into allegations of unprofessional conduct.
